In this post, we’ll take a look at the brand-new Ocean Biome update in Last Stop. This update adds new classes, new buses, a completely new ocean area, an Oil Rig landmark, new enemies, and a new way to earn rewards.
There is quite a lot to check out in this update, especially if you enjoy exploring new areas and collecting new classes. I’ll go through the new Electricute and Pirate classes, the new buses, the Ocean Biome, and everything you can find inside the Oil Rig.
I’ll also explain how the new enemies work, what they drop, how to get the special Ocean Spins, and how you can access the vaults inside the Oil Rig. So, let’s go through everything added in this update.
Last Stop Ocean Biome Update – New Classes, Buses
The update also comes with two new codes.
You can redeem these codes to get:
- 2 Spins
- Tickets
If you’re playing during the update, make sure you redeem the codes because the rewards can help you get started with the new content.
New Electricute Class
One of the new classes added in this update is the Electricute Class.
This class gives you an electric effect whenever you hit enemies with a melee weapon.
When you attack an enemy, you can electrocute them for several seconds. As you level up the class, the duration of the effect increases.
At the lower level, the effect lasts around three seconds, while higher levels can keep the effect active for longer.
The electric damage can deal around 15% of your attack damage depending on the class level.
Electricute Rod
The Electricute Class also gives you a special rod when you spawn.
The interesting thing about this rod is that it has infinite ammunition, so you don’t need to worry about running out of ammo.
It works especially well against smaller zombies.
However, when you’re fighting the larger enemies, the rod isn’t nearly as effective. In those situations, you may want to switch back to your melee weapon.
So, with Electricute, you have both your melee attacks and the special rod available.
New Pirate Class
The second major class added in the update is the Pirate Class.
This class gives you access to a special cannon that you can summon during your run.
The cannon has a cooldown, so you can’t constantly spawn new ones.
Once you summon the cannon, it stays around for roughly a minute before disappearing. After the cooldown finishes, you can summon another one.
This makes the Pirate Class particularly interesting if you enjoy using ranged attacks and special equipment.
Pirate Net Gun
The Pirate Class also comes with a Net Gun.
The Net Gun allows you to shoot enemies and temporarily trap them inside a net.
The enemy remains captured for a few seconds before getting free again.
This can be useful when you’re trying to slow down enemies or create some distance between yourself and a large group of zombies.
New Pirate Bus
The update also adds a brand-new Pirate Bus.
The Pirate Bus has a cannon mounted on top, and you can use that cannon to attack zombies.
The best part is that the cannon has infinite ammunition.
That means you can keep firing at enemies without worrying about running out of bullets.
If you’re using the Pirate Class, the Pirate Bus is a particularly useful combination because both the class and vehicle are built around the pirate theme and ranged attacks.
New Cage Bus
Another new vehicle is the Cage Bus.
Unlike the Pirate Bus, the Cage Bus doesn’t have a special ability.
Instead, its main advantage is its design.
The bus has a cage around it with spikes and additional protection, making it feel safer than a normal bus when you’re traveling through dangerous areas.
So, if you’re looking for a vehicle that focuses more on protection than special attacks, the Cage Bus is worth checking out.
New Ocean Biome
The biggest part of this update is the completely new Ocean Biome.
Once you reach around 17,000 meters in World 1, you’ll eventually reach the new ocean section.
The environment changes dramatically here.
Instead of driving along normal roads, you’ll be traveling across wooden planks with ocean on both sides.
You’ll also find platforms scattered throughout the area.
Sharks in the Ocean Biome
The Ocean Biome isn’t completely safe.
There are sharks swimming around the area, and they can attack you.
You’ll need to keep an eye on them while traveling across the wooden paths.
You can also use the platforms and surrounding areas to collect loot while progressing through the biome.
So, don’t just focus on driving forward. Take some time to check the surrounding platforms because there can be useful loot waiting for you.
The Oil Rig Landmark
The Ocean Biome also introduces a brand-new landmark called the Oil Rig.
The Oil Rig can spawn inside the new ocean area.
When you find it, you can climb up inside the structure and explore its different floors.
There are ladders around the lower section that allow you to move upward through the Oil Rig.
Oil Rig Floors
The Oil Rig has three floors.
As you move higher through the structure, the enemies become more difficult.
This gives the Oil Rig a progression system where the lower areas are easier while the upper floors contain stronger enemies and better rewards.
You’ll need to fight your way through the structure if you want to reach the best parts of the Oil Rig.
New Oil Rig Enemies
The update introduces three new types of enemies inside the Oil Rig:
- Oil Workers
- Oil Officers
- Oil Drillers
Each enemy has a different difficulty level.
The Oil Workers are found in the earlier sections, while the stronger Oil Officers and Oil Drillers appear higher up in the Oil Rig.
Oil Workers
Oil Workers are some of the enemies you’ll encounter while entering the Oil Rig.
They’re part of the lower-level enemy groups and are useful for getting started with the new Oil Rig content.
Defeating them can also give you the new tokens used for the Ocean Spin system.
Oil Officers
As you move higher through the Oil Rig, you’ll start encountering Oil Officers.
These enemies are stronger than the basic Oil Workers.
You’ll need to be more careful as you progress because the difficulty increases as you climb through the floors.
Oil Drillers
The Oil Drillers are the higher-tier enemies found toward the top of the Oil Rig.
They appear around the third floor and are more difficult than the lower-level enemies.
If you’re trying to push all the way through the Oil Rig, be prepared for these enemies before climbing to the upper floors.
Ocean Tokens
The new Oil Rig enemies drop special tokens.
These tokens are important because you can use them for the new Ocean Spin system in the lobby.
The Ocean Spin gives you a chance to obtain the new Pirate Class.
So, if you want to unlock the Pirate Class, farming the Oil Rig is one of the main things you should be doing.
Oil Rig Vaults
Another interesting feature of the Oil Rig is the new vault system.
Certain enemies on the second and third floors can drop cards that are used to access the vaults.
These cards act as keys for the locked vault doors.
Once you have the correct card, walk up to the locked door and interact with it to unlock the vault.
What Can You Find Inside the Vaults?
The vaults contain different types of loot.
Once you’ve obtained a card, make sure you actually check the corresponding vault instead of leaving it behind.
The vaults give you another reason to explore the entire Oil Rig rather than simply climbing to the top and leaving.
Because the higher floors contain stronger enemies, you’ll need to balance the risk of pushing further with the potential rewards.
Best Way to Play the New Ocean Update
If you’re just starting the new update, I’d recommend taking things in this order.
First, redeem the new codes and use the rewards you receive.
Then, try out the new classes and see which one fits your playstyle.
If you’re interested in the Pirate Class, start farming the Oil Rig because the enemies there drop the tokens used for Ocean Spins.
Once you’re comfortable with the Ocean Biome, start exploring the platforms and Oil Rig for additional loot.
If you get an Oil Rig vault card, don’t forget to use it. The vaults are one of the extra reward systems added with the new landmark.
The new Ocean Biome update in Last Stop adds quite a bit of new content to the game.
You now have the Electricute Class, Pirate Class, Pirate Bus, Cage Bus, the new Ocean Biome, sharks, the Oil Rig, three new enemy types, Ocean Tokens, Ocean Spins, and vaults.
For me, the Oil Rig is one of the most interesting parts of the update because it gives you an actual reason to explore the new biome instead of simply driving through it.
If your main goal is unlocking the Pirate Class, focus on defeating the Oil Rig enemies and collecting their tokens. Then take those tokens back to the lobby and use the Ocean Spin for your chance at the new class.
The Ocean Biome also gives the game a completely different environment, so make sure you explore the platforms, watch out for sharks, and check the Oil Rig whenever you come across one.
