How to Unlock Naoya’s Time Palace Domain Expansion
To start working toward Naoya’s Domain Expansion, you first need to visit the Projection Awakener.
You can use the Projection Awakener to access the awakening tree and see the different skills and nodes available for Naoya’s Projection technique.
The awakening tree contains several new abilities, including Frame Combo, Shatter Time, and Time Palace.
Time Palace is the Domain Expansion you are ultimately trying to unlock.
Visit the Projection Awakener
Head over to the Projection Awakener and interact with it to open the Projection awakening tree.
This is where you can check the requirements for the new abilities.
One of the early abilities is Frame Combo, which is part of the new Projection awakening.
After progressing through the awakening tree, you will eventually see the nodes for:
- Frame Combo
- Shatter Time
- Time Palace
However, you cannot simply unlock everything immediately. Some of the nodes require materials that you can obtain from the new raid.
How to Get the Materials for Naoya’s Awakening
The main way to get the required materials is by completing the new Projection Raid.
The raid is based around the Projection technique and features multiple waves of enemies that you and your teammates need to defeat.
For the awakening shown in the video, the important material comes from the raid crates.
After completing the raid, you can receive 320 Gems along with five of the required crates.
These crates are needed to progress toward Naoya’s new abilities.
How to Complete the Projection Raid
Once you find the Projection Raid, you can create a raid and invite other players to join you.
I recommend bringing a few other players because the raid involves multiple waves and can become hectic once more enemies start spawning.
During the raid, you will need to move through the different sections and defeat the enemies that appear.
There are also doors and different paths that you need to work through before reaching the later parts of the raid.
The enemies can spawn in large numbers, so using your strongest awakened abilities can make the process much easier.
Defeat the Projection Raid Boss
As you reach the end of the raid, you will eventually fight the main enemy.
The boss can also use a Domain Expansion during the fight, so be ready to deal with it.
Once you defeat the boss and complete the raid, you receive the raid rewards.
The run shown in the video rewarded:
- 320 Gems
- 5 required raid crates
These crates are what you need to continue progressing through the Projection awakening tree.
Unlock Shatter Time
After collecting the required raid materials, return to the Projection Awakener.
You can now start unlocking the additional awakening nodes.
One of the new abilities is Shatter Time.
The transcript shows that this ability requires materials including Moonlit Ash and a Frozen Hourglass.
Make sure you check the awakening tree to see exactly which materials are required for the node you are trying to unlock.
Unlock Frame Combo
Frame Combo is another important part of Naoya’s new awakening.

After progressing through the required awakening nodes, you can finally unlock Time Palace.
Time Palace is Naoya’s new Domain Expansion.
Once unlocked, you can equip it and use it during gameplay.
The Domain can be used against nearby enemies and can deal significant damage while showcasing Naoya’s new awakening.
How Time Palace Works
Time Palace is the Domain Expansion added with Naoya’s new Projection awakening.
When activated, the Domain affects enemies inside its range and can provide several combat effects.
The update information describes the Domain as being able to:
- Stun enemies
- Deal tick damage
- Buff the player
- Reset cooldowns
This makes Time Palace more than just a visual ability, as it also provides useful combat effects during a fight.
Naoya’s New Awakening Skills
The new update does not only add the Domain Expansion.
Naoya also receives new Projection awakening abilities, including Frame Combo and Shatter Time.
Frame Combo
