In this post, I’m going to show you how to get the new Fruitline Rod in Fisch. This rod is tied to the Skycrest content and requires you to complete several steps, including finding hidden Tropical Fruits, catching limited tropical fish, and finally catching a special creature.

The quest takes a little time, especially because some of the required items can be difficult to find. The good news is that once you understand the full progression, you can work through each requirement one step at a time instead of wondering what you need to do next.

I’ll go through the entire process here, including the 25 Tropical Fruits, the limited fish you need to collect, how to summon and catch the Fruity Abaia, and what makes the Fruitline Rod so interesting once you finally unlock it.

How to Get the Fruitline Rod in Fisch – Fruit Lover Frank

The first thing you need to do is find Fruit Lover Frank, the NPC connected to the Fruitline Rod quest.

When you speak with him, he gives you your first objective:

Find all 25 Tropical Fruits hidden around the island.

That means you need to explore the Skycrest area and collect every Tropical Fruit you can find.

There are 25 fruits in total, and they are scattered around the map.

Some are easy to spot because they are located close together, so you can quickly collect several while exploring the same area. However, others are much more difficult to notice.

Find All 25 Tropical Fruits

Your first major task is collecting all 25 Tropical Fruits.

As you find them, your quest progress increases from:

  • 1/25
  • 2/25
  • 3/25

And eventually all the way to 25/25.

The island is fairly large, so you will need to explore carefully.

While many of the fruits can be found without too much trouble, some of them blend into the environment extremely well.

One particularly difficult fruit mentioned during the quest was located near the Wish system.

This fruit can be easy to miss because it blends into its surroundings and barely looks like a normal fruit at first glance.

So if you’re stuck at 24/25, make sure you carefully check around the Wish system and look closely at the environment.

Once you finally collect all 25 Tropical Fruits, return to Fruit Lover Frank.

The Next Step Requires Limited Tropical Fish

After returning all the fruit, Frank reveals that a proper Skycrest smoothie needs more than regular fruit.

Now you need to collect the ocean’s ingredients.

Your next objective is to catch one of every required limited tropical fish.

The fish listed for the quest are:

  • Pineapple Pufferfish
  • Banana Eel
  • Smoothie Stingray
  • Coconut Crabstool
  • Hammock Halibut
  • Hawaiian Shirt Shark
  • Sunbed Stingray
  • Watermelon Walrus
  • Cabana Carp

You need to collect one of each of these limited catches.

Catch All the Required Tropical Fish

This part of the quest requires you to spend some time fishing around Skycrest.

Some of the required fish may be easier to catch than others. For example, the Cabana Carp was described as being relatively common.

As you fish, make sure you keep track of which limited catches you already have.

The goal is to eventually collect every fish required for the quest.

Once your collection is complete, return to Fruit Lover Frank with all the limited tropical fish.

At this point, the quest starts getting much more interesting.

Offer the Limited Fish at the Fire of Spirits

After giving Frank the required catches, you learn about a special creature connected to the quest.

The next instruction is essentially to offer all of the limited Skycrest fish at the Fire of Spirits during a Tropical Sun.

So before doing this step, make sure you have the necessary weather conditions available.

The process requires:

  1. Having all the required limited tropical fish.
  2. Going to the Fire of Spirits.
  3. Activating or waiting for a Tropical Sun.
  4. Offering each of the required fish.

During the run shown in the guide, a Tropical Sun Totem was used to activate the required condition.

Then the fish were offered one by one.

These included the Banana Eel, Cabana Carp, Watermelon Walrus, Sunbed Stingray, Smoothie Stingray, Pineapple Pufferfish, Hawaiian Shirt Shark, Coconut Crabstool, and the remaining required catch.

Once all of the limited fish have been offered correctly, the next stage of the quest becomes available.

How to Spawn the Fruity Abaia

After completing the offering, you need to catch a special creature known as the Fruity Abaia.

However, it does not simply appear immediately.

The Fire of Spirits needs to be active, and the special creature can only be spawned using a Tropical Squall.

So the next step is:

  1. Complete the Fire of Spirits offering.
  2. Make sure the Fire of Spirits is active.
  3. Trigger or wait for a Tropical Squall.
  4. Look for the Fruity Abaia.

Once the Tropical Squall appeared, the special creature finally spawned.

This is the creature you need to catch before you can complete the Fruitline Rod quest.

Catching the Fruity Abaia Can Be Difficult

Finding the Fruity Abaia is only part of the challenge.

Actually catching it can take several attempts.

During the fishing attempt shown in the guide, the creature did not appear to be caught immediately, and multiple attempts were needed while trying different approaches.

Luck-related boosts were also tested during the process, including:

  • Luck Potions
  • 2x Server Luck
  • 4x Server Luck

Eventually, switching to the Soul Reaper rod made the difference, and the Fruity Abaia was successfully caught.

So if you’re struggling to catch it, it may be worth experimenting with your rod setup and luck boosts.

Once you successfully catch the Fruity Abaia, you can finally return to Fruit Lover Frank.

Return to Fruit Lover Frank for the Fruitline Rod

After completing all the requirements, return to Fruit Lover Frank.

At this point, the ultimate blend is complete, and Frank rewards you with the Fruitline Rod.

This is the final reward for completing the entire quest chain.

The full progression is:

  1. Find all 25 Tropical Fruits.
  2. Catch all required limited tropical fish.
  3. Offer the fish at the Fire of Spirits during a Tropical Sun.
  4. Trigger a Tropical Squall.
  5. Catch the Fruity Abaia.
  6. Return to Fruit Lover Frank.
  7. Receive the Fruitline Rod.

Fruitline Rod Stats

The Fruitline Rod has the following stats shown in the guide:

  • Lure Speed: 100%
  • Luck: 200%
  • Control: 0
  • Resilience: 0%
  • Max Kg: Unlimited
  • Progress Speed: +25%

The rod also has a unique effect.

According to its description, every fish it hooks leaves behind a wake of fruit.

The Fruitline Rod appears to be especially interesting because of the buffs connected to its special mechanic.

How the Fruitline Rod Ability Works

When using the Fruitline Rod, you can interact with the fruit effect to build up a special buff.

The buff is called Fruity Blessing.

Fruity Blessing can increase several important stats, including:

  • Luck
  • Lure Strength
  • Resilience
  • Control
  • Progress Speed
  • Line Distance

It can also increase the level of your equipped companion.

This is where the Fruitline Rod becomes particularly powerful.

The Fruitline Rod Can Increase Companion Levels

One of the most interesting effects shown with Fruity Blessing is its companion bonus.

The buff can allow your equipped companion to effectively gain additional levels.

For example, the guide showed a companion receiving a boost of two levels higher.

That means a companion at Level 10 could potentially benefit from the buff and reach the equivalent of Level 12 while the effect is active.

Even more interesting, the buff appeared to remain active after switching rods.

That means you may be able to activate Fruity Blessing with the Fruitline Rod and then switch to another rod while keeping the active buff.

If this continues working as shown, it makes the Fruitline Rod much more useful than simply being another fishing rod with high Luck.

Build the Fruity Blessing Multiplier

The Fruitline Rod’s special mechanic allows you to continue building your multiplier by collecting or consuming the fruit effects.

The multiplier can continue increasing as you successfully maintain the mechanic.

During testing, the multiplier increased through several levels:

  • 2x
  • 4x
  • 10x
  • 25x
  • 30x
  • 50x
  • 80x
  • 100x+

The test eventually reached 101.

The higher the multiplier became, the longer the Fruity Blessing buff lasted.

At lower levels, the buff could last for a couple of minutes.

At higher levels, the duration became much longer.

A multiplier above 100 resulted in a buff lasting around 15 minutes.

The Fruitline Rod is obtained through a full quest chain in Fisch, and you need to complete several different objectives before you can claim it.

You first need to find all 25 Tropical Fruits, then catch every required limited tropical fish. After that, you offer the fish at the Fire of Spirits during a Tropical Sun, trigger a Tropical Squall, and catch the Fruity Abaia.

Once you’ve completed everything, return to Fruit Lover Frank and claim your Fruitline Rod.

The quest can take some time, especially when searching for the hidden fruits and trying to catch the special creature, but the reward looks more than worth the effort. With its strong Luck stat, Progress Speed bonus, companion boosts, and the powerful Fruity Blessing mechanic, this is definitely a rod I would recommend getting while it’s available.
