The new Resurgence update finally dropped in Type Soul, and honestly The Almighty might be one of the most broken things the game has added in a long time.
This showcase covered both the base form and mode abilities, and after seeing everything it can do, this thing genuinely looks ridiculous in PvP. Between the dodges, healing, stat stealing, true damage, and server-wide abilities, it honestly feels like a boss character more than a normal shrift.
Here’s a full breakdown of everything shown during the showcase.
Almighty Passive Abilities
Right away, Almighty comes with multiple passive effects built into it.
ESP Vision Passive
One of the first passives basically gives you ESP.
You can see:
- enemy stats
- move names
- ability cooldown visuals
- certain incoming actions
It almost feels like future sight because you constantly get information about what enemies are doing.
Marking Passive
The second major passive is the marking system.
If somebody hits the Almighty user with a move dealing more than 25 damage, the attack gets dodged automatically and the damage gets healed back.
The mark stays active for a short duration, and if another shrift move lands while the mark is active, the mark explodes and deals extra damage.
If nothing triggers it, the mark explodes automatically after around 20 seconds.
That alone already sounds crazy, but it gets worse.
Accumulated Damage Passive
If the Almighty user takes 60 total damage within 5 seconds, they automatically gain dodge frames and heal back the accumulated damage.
So basically:
- Burst damage gets punished.
- Team fights become dangerous against Almighty.
- Trying to combo them too fast can literally heal them.
The showcase even called it anti-team because multiple players attacking at once basically just triggered free dodges repeatedly.
Guard Break Interaction
There’s also another passive interaction involving guard breaks.
If somebody who has the mark guard breaks the Almighty user, the attack gets dodged and the mark explodes automatically.
So even defensive pressure can end up backfiring.
Base Form Moveset
In base form, Almighty has access to several abilities including Z, T, and G moves.
The showcase mentioned that ranked mode slightly nerfs shrift moves and changes some move access, but the core abilities still remain extremely strong.
Base Z Move
The Z move gives dodge frames if missed.
During the dodge state:
- you can still move around
- you can still use hotbar abilities
- enemies struggle to punish you
The only limitation is that you can’t use other shrift moves during the dodge phase.
If the move lands, it activates an eye effect on enemies in front of you and deals true damage.
Apparently all Almighty moves deal true damage, which honestly explains why the damage numbers looked insane throughout the showcase.
Base G Move
The G move is probably one of the most annoying abilities shown.
It grabs the enemy and creates a shadow clone marker of them.
The enemy cannot see the clone themselves.
After placing the shadow, the Almighty user can press a hotbar input later to teleport the enemy back to that saved position instantly.
So basically:
- Mark enemy position.
- Let them move away.
- Instantly force them back later.
That opens up some disgusting combo potential.
You could literally bait people into moving somewhere safe and then yank them right back into attacks.
Almighty Mode
Once mode activates, things get even crazier.
The activation itself is visible server-wide, and every player nearby can apparently see the effect happen.
There’s also a cooldown system preventing multiple Almighty users from constantly overlapping the global abilities.
Mode C Move
The C move absolutely chunks HP.
During the showcase it dealt around 80 damage immediately.
But the real scary part is that it can also completely drain enemy mode bars.
One player literally lost their entire mode after getting hit.
That alone makes it insanely strong in competitive fights because it can completely shut down transformations and momentum.
Mode X Move
The X move might honestly be one of the wildest abilities in the game.
It swaps stats between players.
This includes:
- max health
- current health
- reiatsu
- mode bar
- current resources
- positions
The swapping happens randomly between nearby targets.
So somebody with low HP can suddenly steal full resources from another player instantly.
The showcase compared it to Kyoka’s Bankai ability except completely amplified.
In chaotic fights, the randomness alone makes this move terrifying.
Server-Wide Z Move
Then comes the real nightmare.
The mode Z move is server-wide.
Yes, literally server-wide.
The move functions similarly to Visionary-style abilities and affects players across the server with a global cooldown attached to it.
The cooldown is apparently around 10 seconds shared globally between Almighty users.
During the showcase:
- massive damage hit multiple players
- people lost huge chunks of HP
- several players got knocked simultaneously
- healing interactions started triggering everywhere
The ability looked completely absurd during team fights
