The Marewarder Glove is one of those Slap Battles gloves where the requirement sounds simple on paper—get a badge and the glove is yours—but actually earning that badge is where things get messy.

To unlock Marewarder, you need the Unmasked Badge, which means going through the PIM encounter. This isn’t a normal boss fight where you just slap the boss until its health bar disappears. You’re dealing with rotating rooms, keys, disappearing platforms, creepy eyes, arrows, statues, and PIM himself showing up at the worst possible moment.

If you’re going for Marewarder, here’s how the whole thing works and, more importantly, what you should watch out for so you don’t lose a run over one small mistake.

Marewarder Glove Stats and Ability

Before getting into the boss fight, here’s what you’re actually working toward.

The Marewarder Glove has:

  • Power: 50
  • Speed: 50
  • Ability: Dash/Lift/Flare
  • Activation: Press E
  • Requirement: Unmasked Badge

So your real objective isn’t simply finding Marewarder somewhere on the map. You first need to complete its badge requirement.

How to Get the Unmasked Badge for Marewarder

The Unmasked Badge is tied to the PIM boss encounter.

To begin, find the mysterious mask and walk up to it. You should get an option to inspect it.

Press E to inspect the mask.

After interacting with it, give the game a moment and you’ll be teleported into the PIM boss area. There’s a cutscene when you arrive, after which the actual challenge begins.

This is where I’d recommend slowing down. Your first instinct might be to run around looking for PIM, but there’s a puzzle system you need to understand first.

Start by Using the Wheel to Rotate the Room

When you enter the main area, you’ll find a wheel.

Turn it.

The wheel rotates the room, changing what you’ll find when you open the nearby door. This is how you access the different sections of the encounter.

Eventually, you’ll see an area containing several locked doors and the glove in the middle.

You can’t just grab it.

The idea is to complete the different rooms, collect their keys and use those keys to progress through the locked sections until you’ve completed the encounter.

So whenever you finish exploring one accessible area, come back and use the wheel to reach another.

Getting the Red Key

One of the first challenges you’ll encounter is the Red Room, and thankfully this part isn’t too bad.

Inside is an obby with platforms that can disappear.

Don’t immediately jump when you see a platform vanishing. The platforms come back, so there’s no reason to rush this section. Waiting an extra second is much better than falling and losing progress.

As you make your way through the obby, you’ll also find several chests.

This is where things get slightly unpredictable.

A chest can give you something useful, including a health potion, but some can instead turn into hostile enemy chests.

If you get an enemy chest, don’t hang around beside it. Move away immediately and you should be able to avoid its attack.

Continue checking the chests until you find the Red Key, then carefully make your way back.

Save Your Health Potions When Possible

There’s a useful little mechanic here that can save you later: your health regenerates automatically.

It isn’t particularly fast, but it does mean you shouldn’t instantly drink a health potion every time you take damage.

If you’re somewhere safe, wait for your HP to recover naturally.

I’d save the potions for the more dangerous rooms. Once arrows, PIM and the other hazards start overlapping, having an emergency heal becomes much more valuable.

How to Get Through the Eye Room

The Eye Room is where the encounter starts getting more uncomfortable.

You’ll need to climb through an area containing several creepy eyes while also dealing with environmental traps.

Make your way upward and continue through the available path until you reach the arrow section.

Now, don’t just sprint through it.

Arrows fire across the path at intervals, and there are podium-like platforms that can be used as safe spots.

Watch the arrows first.

Once a volley passes, move to the next safe position and stop. Wait for another opening before moving again.

Trying to clear the entire thing in one run is asking to get hit.

There are more eyes farther into the room as well, including ones that can move, so keep paying attention to your surroundings instead of focusing only on the arrows.

And that’s before PIM gets involved.

If PIM Appears on Your Screen, DON’T MOVE

This is easily the most important mechanic in the entire Marewarder challenge.

When PIM appears on your screen, immediately stop moving.

Don’t run away.

Don’t try to finish one more jump.

Don’t think, “I’ll just reach that platform first.”

Stay completely still.

Wait until PIM disappears from your screen and then continue.

It feels strange at first because practically every other Roblox boss teaches you to run when something dangerous appears. PIM is basically the opposite.

Movement is what gets you killed.

Once you get used to instantly freezing whenever he appears, the fight becomes much easier to manage.

What Happens If PIM Catches You?

This is why you don’t want to experiment too much.

If PIM gets you, you can be sent back and forced to repeat the section again.

That’s especially painful when you’ve already spent several minutes carefully working through a room.

If you keep dying without understanding why, there’s a good chance you’re still moving when PIM appears.

The moment you see him, stop touching your movement controls and wait.

How the Statue Section Works

You’ll eventually encounter another creepy mechanic involving statues.

These statues can move when you aren’t watching them.

Basically, keep an eye on them while progressing.

This can get awkward because you’re simultaneously trying to figure out where to go while watching the statues and waiting for PIM to appear.

If PIM does show up, though, the same rule applies:

Freeze.

Wait until he’s gone before continuing.

It’s better to take this entire section slowly rather than trying to rush between objectives.

How to Complete the Random Corridor Puzzle

The corridor section is probably the most confusing part of the Marewarder challenge, especially on your first attempt.

Instead of having one clearly marked path, you have to work out the correct route one square at a time.

You’ll essentially test your available choices and reveal whether you’ve picked the correct square/path.

Choose correctly and you can continue.

Choose incorrectly and you’ll have to adjust and try another option.

Keep repeating this as you move through the different corridors until you eventually reach the end.

There’s a bit of trial and error involved here, so don’t assume you’ve missed some giant obvious clue if you get a choice wrong.

Meanwhile, PIM can still appear.

That makes it very easy to get distracted while figuring out the correct route. No matter how close you are to solving the next square, stop moving the second PIM appears.

How to Unlock the Marewarder Glove

Your overall progression is fairly straightforward once you understand what each room is doing.

Rotate the hub using the wheel, enter the available challenge rooms, collect the required keys and continue opening the locked areas.

Eventually, completing the PIM encounter fulfills the requirement for the Unmasked Badge, which is what you need for the Marewarder Glove.

The individual puzzles are what make the process difficult—not understanding the glove requirement itself.

Tips That Make the Marewarder Challenge Much Easier

There are a few things worth remembering before you commit to a full attempt.

PIM is your biggest priority. Whatever puzzle you’re doing can wait. If PIM appears, stop moving until he’s gone.

Don’t speedrun the Red Room. The disappearing platforms return. Wait for them.

Move between safe spots in the arrow section. Trying to sprint through everything at once isn’t worth the risk.

Back away from hostile chests. You don’t need to stand next to them and take free damage.

Let your health regenerate. Save health potions for moments where you genuinely need them.

Keep the statues in sight. They can move when you’re not watching.

And finally, expect the corridor to take a little trial and error. It’s probably going to feel confusing the first time through, but that’s part of the encounter.

Is the Marewarder Glove Hard to Get?

I’d say Marewarder is less about mechanical skill and more about patience and learning PIM’s rules.

The obby itself isn’t particularly terrifying. The arrows can be timed. Enemy chests can be avoided. Even the corridor becomes manageable once you understand what you’re trying to do.

The real problem is that all of these things can distract you from PIM.

That’s why the one rule I’d keep in mind for the entire run is incredibly simple: when PIM shows up, do absolutely nothing.

Once that becomes automatic, getting the Unmasked Badge and Marewarder Glove in Slap Battles becomes a much more manageable challenge.
