TERMINAL [ESCAPE ROOM] Out of Space Walkthrough

Out of Space is the second part of Chapter 1 in TERMINAL [ESCAPE ROOM]. This level takes place aboard a damaged spaceship and features several star, constellation, wiring, and navigation puzzles. If you’re stuck, follow the steps below to complete the chapter.

Starting Area

When the chapter begins, inspect the room and interact with all available notes.

Important clues include:

  • Alien number chart
  • Star Finder instructions
  • Planet Radar puzzle
  • Water System panel slots

You cannot access everything immediately, so start with the Planet Radar puzzle.


Planet Radar Puzzle

Watch the objects passing outside the spacecraft windows.

Match each object to its corresponding number:

Object Number
Star 1
Shooting Star 2
Planet 8
Moon 9
Alien 5

Enter the correct symbols into the Planet Radar panel.

Completing the puzzle reveals the first repair panel.


Water System Puzzle

Interact with the water system.

Use the visible star pattern outside the window and recreate it on the Star Finder.

After matching the correct stars:

  • Collect the repair panel.
  • Install it into the Water System.

This restores part of the ship and unlocks the next puzzle.


Blinking Stars Puzzle

A clue states:

What you need is hidden among the blinking stars.

Look outside and identify the blinking stars labeled A-E.

The solution shown in the walkthrough is:

  • A = 5
  • B = 1
  • C = 2
  • D = 4
  • E = 3

Enter:

51243

This unlocks another repair panel.

Install the panel into the damaged system.


Star Size Puzzle

You’ll encounter a puzzle involving stars of different sizes.

Arrange the stars from smallest to largest according to the clue.

After placing them correctly:

  • Collect the next panel.
  • Install it in the remaining slot.

Alien Number Code

After all four repair panels are installed, the central machine activates.

Use the Alien Number chart to translate the symbols.

The walkthrough solution is:

3862

Enter the code to unlock the next section of the spaceship.


Obtain the Car Keys

Enter the newly opened area.

You’ll find:

  • Escape pods
  • Constellation equipment
  • Additional ship controls

Use the Key Card found earlier on the access panel.

This grants access to the vehicle keys.

Take the keys and return to the crashed vehicle.


Lever Repair Puzzle

Use the gear shift as a replacement lever.

Install it in the broken mechanism.

The goal is:

  • Every lever must connect with contacts on both sides.
  • No two levers can occupy the same height.

Adjust the levers until the mechanism activates.

You’ll receive:

Key Fob


Open the Trunk

Use the Key Fob on the vehicle trunk.

Inside you’ll find:

Wires

Take them to the damaged wiring board.


Wiring Puzzle

Install the wires and connect the matching coordinates.

The walkthrough uses the following connections:

  • B7 → C8
  • C4 → E5
  • E8 → F9
  • F2 → G5
  • F6 → E7
  • F8 → H10
  • C14 → E14
  • B17 → E18
  • C19 → E21
  • H18 → G19
  • F22 → H23
  • I24 → I23

After connecting every wire correctly, the puzzle reveals:

5632

Enter the code into the nearby console.


Zero Gravity Lever Puzzle

The code activates the Zero Gravity controls.

Pull the levers and inspect the symbols that appear.

This generates another code used in the next section.

The walkthrough eventually obtains:

3856

This unlocks the constellation navigation sequence.


Constellation Viewfinder Puzzle

Use the Constellation Viewfinder terminal.

Input each ID and record the constellation shown.

The IDs are:

  • 1948
  • 3341
  • 2152
  • 7465

The corresponding constellations are:

ID Constellation
1948 Virgo
3341 Aquarius
2152 Capricorn
7465 Scorpio

Enter them in order:

  1. Virgo
  2. Aquarius
  3. Capricorn
  4. Scorpio

This completes the ship triangulation process.


Final Navigation Puzzle

After triangulation:

  1. Prepare for takeoff.
  2. Use the alien navigation symbols.
  3. Plot the route from the spaceship marker.
  4. Follow the correct path through the navigation map.

This is the most difficult puzzle in the chapter because the controls can feel awkward and selecting the correct route is tricky.

Once the correct route is plotted:

  • Shut the hatch.
  • Launch the escape pod.

Ending

After escaping, a cutscene plays showing the pod leaving the damaged ship.

You’ll receive:

Chapter 1 Part 2 Completed

However, the ending reveals that your character still dies, setting up the next chapter in the TERMINAL storyline.
