If you’re just starting out in Storage Hunters Open World, earning money can feel pretty slow at first. It’s easy to think you simply need better luck when bidding on storage units, but after playing for a while, I realized that the biggest difference actually comes from how efficiently you farm.

The players making the most cash usually aren’t finding legendary items every few minutes. Instead, they’ve optimized their entire routine so they’re spending less time running around the map and more time buying, selling, and repeating the process.

If you want to build your bankroll quickly and eventually start saving for expensive upgrades and Diamonds, here are the best tips to speed up your progress.

Join Smaller Servers

One of the simplest tricks is also one of the most effective.

Whenever possible, join a server with fewer players.

Smaller servers give you much more freedom when choosing where to place your shop. In crowded servers, the best locations are often already taken, forcing you to waste time running long distances every time you buy or sell items.

A quieter server lets you set up exactly where you want, making your entire farming route much more efficient.

Place Your Shop Near Storage Auctions

Your shop location matters far more than many new players realize.

Instead of placing it wherever there’s empty space, try to build it as close as possible to the storage auction area you’re farming.

For example, if you’re spending most of your time around the Farmyard auctions, setting up your shop nearby creates a much shorter selling loop.

That means you can:

  • Buy a storage unit
  • Carry valuable items back
  • Stock your shelves
  • Return for another auction

…without constantly running across the map.

Those saved seconds quickly add up over dozens of storage runs.

Don’t Always Buy the Cheapest Storage Units

It’s tempting to jump on every storage unit with a low starting price.

After all, spending less money sounds safer.

In reality, the cheapest auctions often contain low-value items that don’t generate much profit.

Instead, keep an eye out for storage units with slightly higher starting prices.

While they require a larger investment, they usually have a better chance of containing valuable collectibles that can earn significantly more money once sold.

The goal isn’t to buy the cheapest unit—it’s to buy the most profitable one.

Organize Your Shop for Faster Selling

A good shop layout saves a surprising amount of time.

Rather than filling the inside of your building with shelves, place your display shelves outside and position them close together.

This makes it much easier to:

  • Move inventory quickly
  • Restock shelves
  • Keep customers shopping
  • Reduce unnecessary walking

A clean layout may seem like a small improvement, but it makes long grinding sessions much smoother.

Hire an Assistant

If you’ve unlocked an Assistant, make full use of it.

Having someone help manage sales lets you spend more time searching for profitable storage units instead of constantly returning to your shop.

The more time you’re actively bidding and looting, the faster your income grows.

It’s one of those upgrades that doesn’t look exciting at first, but it becomes incredibly valuable during longer farming sessions.

Best Auto Accept Setting

One setting that many players overlook is Auto Accept.

A good balance is setting it to 15%.

This gives buyers a reasonable discount while still allowing you to earn solid profits.

Setting it too high may slow down sales, while setting it too low cuts into your earnings more than necessary.

For most players, 15% offers a nice middle ground between quick sales and good profit margins.

Build an Efficient Farming Loop

The biggest secret to getting rich isn’t finding one amazing storage unit.

It’s creating a farming routine that you can repeat over and over with very little downtime.

A simple loop looks like this:

  1. Join a smaller server.
  2. Place your shop near your preferred auction area.
  3. Bid on higher-quality storage units instead of the cheapest ones.
  4. Move valuable items to your nearby shelves.
  5. Let your Assistant handle customers.
  6. Keep Auto Accept set to 15%.
  7. Repeat the process as quickly as possible.

Once this routine becomes second nature, you’ll notice your money starts increasing much faster than before.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

New players often slow their own progress without realizing it.

Try to avoid these mistakes:

  • Setting up your shop far away from auction areas.
  • Buying every cheap storage unit you see.
  • Leaving shelves scattered around your shop.
  • Ignoring the Assistant feature.
  • Using poor Auto Accept settings that either scare away buyers or reduce profits too much.

Fixing just a couple of these habits can noticeably improve your earnings.

Making money quickly in Storage Hunters Open World isn’t about relying on lucky storage auctions. The real key is building an efficient routine that minimizes travel time and keeps you constantly buying and selling.

A well-placed shop, smarter storage choices, organized shelves, and the right Auto Accept settings all work together to increase your profits over time. While a single lucky auction can certainly give your balance a nice boost, consistent efficiency is what will help you build serious wealth and work toward expensive upgrades and Diamonds much faster.
