In this post, we’ll go through the brand-new Dr. Scramble update in Steal an Egg, including the new Dr. Scramble’s Experiments event, the new items and currencies, the secret area, and the Lost Vault Parts quest. I’ll also explain everything I discovered while exploring the update so you can follow the same route without wasting time.

The biggest part of this update is the new Dr. Scramble experiment system, where you can collect special currency and exchange it for different boosts, eggs, and mutation-related items. There is also a hidden area connected to Dr. Scramble’s experiments, and this is where the new Lost Vault Parts quest begins.

If you want to complete the new quest before the update disappears, you’ll need to find five missing parts. Two of them can be found around the different biomes, while the other parts are connected to Dr. Scramble’s drones. So, let’s go through everything we know about the update and how you can start finding these parts.

Steal an Egg Dr. Scramble Update – Drone Part Locations

Once I joined the game after the update went live, the first thing I checked was the shop. There wasn’t a huge shop refresh this time, and some of the existing content was still available.

The Rift was also still in the game, giving players another week to use it. At the time of testing the update, it wasn’t completely clear whether the Rift was going to remain permanently or eventually be removed.

The main new addition, however, is Dr. Scramble’s Experiments.

Dr. Scramble’s Experiments

The new experiment system introduces a special currency that you can use to purchase different items.

Some of the items shown in the experiment shop include:

  • 2x Cash Booster
  • 1.25x Speed Booster
  • 2x Treadmill Booster
  • Special experiment eggs
  • Nibble Eggs
  • Mutation Scramble
  • Other Dr. Scramble-related items

Some of these rewards appear to have purchase limits. For example, certain experiment items can only be purchased once, while others can be purchased a few times per player.

One of the interesting items is the Mutation Scramble, which works as a mutation-related consumable.

There are also special experiment eggs that appear to be much rarer than the normal rewards, so you’ll definitely want to keep an eye on the experiment shop whenever the event becomes available.

How Often Does the Dr. Scramble Event Happen?

At first, I wasn’t completely sure how often the new event would happen.

After checking the update and getting information from the developers, it appears that the Dr. Scramble event runs every hour.

So, instead of assuming the event happens every 30 minutes, you should keep the one-hour schedule in mind.

This is important because you’ll want to be around when the event starts if you’re trying to collect the new event currency and rewards.

No New Main Zone

I also checked the map to see whether the update added an entirely new zone.

At the time of testing, there wasn’t a completely new main zone added to the map.

The existing areas are still being used for the update, but there are some new secrets hidden around the map that you definitely shou
