There are a lot of items in Slayers 2 that aren’t weapons or accessories but are still extremely important for your progression. Some help you survive, some restore your HP or stamina, while others are used for quests, crafting, Demon progression, fishing, or upgrading powerful weapons.
The tricky part is knowing what each item actually does and whether you should keep it or sell/use it. Items like Demon Horns and Ores are especially important because you’ll need them for different upgrades and purchases, while materials such as Blood Stained Ingots and Orbed Glaciers become important when you’re working toward Devourer and Polar weapons.
So in this guide, I’ll go through all currently known Utility Items in Slayers 2, explain how to get each one, and tell you exactly what they’re used for. I’ll also point out which items you should keep instead of wasting them.
Slayers 2 Utility Items Guide – How to Unlock Them
Here’s a quick overview of the currently known utility items and their uses.

Lanterns
Lanterns are some of the most useful utility items because they can provide regeneration bonuses in addition to helping you see at night.
Lantern
The basic Lantern can be purchased from Kenzie in Kabiwaru Village for 600 Wen.
It doesn’t provide combat regeneration like the later Lanterns, but it has two useful exploration effects:
- Lights up the surrounding area
- Greatly increases render distance at night
For a new player, this is a cheap and useful utility item.
Old Lantern
The Old Lantern has a 10% chance to drop from the Ouwigahara Dungeon.
It provides:
- +5% Health Regeneration
- +5% Stamina Regeneration
This makes it a useful upgrade over the basic Lantern, especially while you’re still progressing toward stronger endgame Lanterns.
Box Lantern
The Box Lantern can be obtained from Tier 5 Chests.
Its main effect is:
+10% Health Regeneration
It’s a straightforward defensive upgrade and can be useful if you’re trying to improve your survivability.
Lantern of Everlasting Glow
This is one of the strongest Lanterns currently available.
You can obtain it by opening Ouwigahara Chests.
It provides:
- +15% Health Regeneration
- +5% Stamina Regeneration
The combination makes it an excellent general-purpose Lantern for PvE and long fights.
Lantern of Despair
The Lantern of Despair comes from the Mugen Train Dungeon.
It provides:
- +15% Stamina Regeneration
- +5% Health Regeneration
This makes it especially useful for builds that constantly spend stamina on abilities, movement, or combos.
Healing and Consumables
Not every utility item is something you permanently equip. Some are consumables that you can use during progression and combat.
Bandages
Bandages can be purchased from Rina for 69 Wen.
They’re a basic healing consumable and are useful early in the game when you don’t have access to stronger healing options.
They’re cheap enough that keeping a few in your inventory is a good idea.
Health Potion
Health Potions can be obtained from boss chests or purchased from an NPC.
Using one restores:
15% of your total HP
They’re particularly useful during difficult fights when you need an immediate health boost.
Regeneration Potion
Regeneration Potions can be obtained from boss chests or purchased from Mercy.
Instead of immediately restoring your health, they temporarily improve your health regeneration.
This makes them more useful when you’re expecting a longer fight rather than needing an instant heal.
Stamina Potion
Stamina Potions can be obtained from boss chests or purchased from Mercy.
Their purpose is simple:
Restore stamina.
If your build relies heavily on abilities that consume stamina, these can be extremely useful during longer encounters.
Currencies and Materials
Some of the most important utility items aren’t consumables at all. They’re materials and currencies used to unlock equipment and progress through the game.
Demon Horns
Demon Horns can be obtained by:
- Killing Demons
- Opening Chests
They’re used as a currency for various purchases and exchanges.
You’ll want to hold onto your Demon Horns because several progression items and abilities can require them.
They’re particularly important when you’re trying to unlock certain Demon or Slayer-related equipment.
Ores
Ores are important upgrade materials.
You can obtain them through:
- Certain Boss Chests, with a 1% chance
- Guaranteed after passing Final Selection
- Tier 5 Chests
- Tier 5 Bosses
They’re used for trading and for obtaining or upgrading certain weapons, including Devourer and Polar weapons.
If you’re planning on working toward those endgame weapons, don’t casually waste your Ores.
Ouwigahara Points
Ouwigahara Points are earned by completing Ouwigahara Dungeon runs.
They’re used in the Ouwigahara Shop to purchase various items and rewards.
You’ll want to accumulate these points if you’re working toward upgraded weapons such as the Katana variants and other Ouwigahara-related equipment.
Demon Progression Items
Several utility items are directly connected to becoming or progressing as a Demon.
Muzan’s Blood
Muzan’s Blood is obtained through the Muzan Questline.
When consumed, it transforms your character into a Demon.
This makes it one of the most important quest items in the entire game if you’re following the Demon progression path.
Blue Spider Lily
Blue Spider Lilies can spawn across the map.
They’re needed during the Demon questline involving Muzan.
They’re also used for leveling Polar weapons, so don’t automatically assume every Blue Spider Lily you find is only useful for the Demon quest.
Soul
Souls are obtained by killing NPCs or human players.
They’re connected to Demon progression and can be used to increase your Demon progression level.
If you’re actively progressing as a Demon, Souls are an important resource to collect.
Fishing Items
Fishing gives you another way to collect items and earn Wen.
Fishing Rod
The Fishing Rod can be purchased for 2,500 Wen in Ushumaru Village.
Once you have it, you can use it to fish.
Gourd
The Gourd can be purchased inside the Butterfly Mansion.
It’s used for Gourd Training, which increases your lung capacity.
This is particularly important for players using Breathing because lung capacity is connected to your ability to use Breathing techniques.
Fish
There are currently several fish you can catch while fishing.
Ouwfish
Ouwfish can be caught while fishing and are worth:
90 Wen
Ouwfwesh
Ouwfwesh is another fish obtained through fishing.
It sells for:
180 Wen
Ouwfash
Ouwfash is a higher-value fish.
It’s worth:
300 Wen
If you’re fishing primarily to make money, Ouwfash is the most valuable of these three.
Devourer Upgrade Materials
If you’re working toward Devourer weapons, several utility materials become extremely important.
Blood Stained Ingot
Blood Stained Ingots can be obtained by opening chests in Ouwigahara.
They’re used to upgrade Devourer weapons.
If you’re planning to build a Devourer weapon, save these rather than treating them like ordinary loot.
Living Flesh
Living Flesh has a 10% drop rate from Mugen Train Chests.
It’s another material used for upgrading Devourer weapons.
Because the drop rate isn’t guaranteed, you’ll want to keep any Living Flesh you obtain.
Skinned Hide
Skinned Hide can be obtained from Tier 3 and Tier 5 Chests.
Unlike some of the other Devourer materials, Skinned Hide is used for leveling up Devourer weapons.
So you’ll need different materials as you progress through the Devourer upgrade system.
Polar Upgrade Materials
Polar weapons have their own collection of upgrade materials.
Orbed Glacier
Orbed Glacier has a 10% drop rate from Mugen Train Chests.
It’s used to upgrade Polar weapons.
Frigid Metal
Frigid Metal has a 5% drop rate from chests across Ouwigahara.
It’s another material required for Polar weapon upgrades.
Frost Touched Cloth
Frost Touched Cloth can be obtained from Tier 3 and Tier 5 Chests.
It’s used for leveling Polar weapons.
Blue Spider Lily
Blue Spider Lily is also part of the Polar progression system.
Besides its role in the Demon questline, it can be used for leveling Polar weapons.
Sealed Box
The Sealed Box is a unique utility item.
You can obtain it through:
- The Ore Item Shop
- Purchasing it for 1,200 Robux
Its purpose is to let you share rewards with your friends by carrying them inside the box.
This makes it different from practically every other utility item because it’s focused on transferring rewards rather than combat or progression.
Money Bag
The Money Bag is currently listed as TBA.
Its known purpose is to help with obtaining Wen, but the exact acquisition method isn’t currently confirmed.
Until more information is available, I’d leave this item alone rather than assuming how it works.
Utility items might not look as exciting as a Mythic weapon or a rare accessory, but they are a huge part of your Slayers 2 progression.
Some items keep you alive, some help you travel and explore, and others are essential for unlocking or upgrading some of the strongest weapons in the game. The most important thing is knowing which items are actually valuable before you sell, spend, or use them.
If you’re working toward Devourer weapons, start saving your Blood Stained Ingots, Living Flesh, and Skinned Hide. If you’re interested in Polar weapons, keep your Blue Spider Lilies, Orbed Glaciers, Frigid Metal, and Frost Touched Cloth. And if you’re progressing toward Demon, don’t waste your Souls, Demon Horns, or quest materials.
