Getting around the world of Slayers 2 can take quite a while when you’re traveling everywhere on foot. Luckily, you can get a Horse Mount to make traveling around the map much easier. The tricky part is actually finding one before another player gets to it.
In this guide, I’ll show you how the horse spawning system works, what you need to do after finding one, some of the locations where horses commonly appear, and the method I use when I want to find one as quickly as possible.
We’ll also go over the amount of Wen you need, why starter areas are worth checking, and how server hopping can save you a huge amount of time.
Slayers 2 Horse Mount Guide – How to Find and Tame
Getting a horse involves two main steps.
First, you need to find and tame a horse when one spawns in the world.
Then, after taming it, you’ll need to pay 15,000 Wen to actually purchase the horse.
So finding a horse doesn’t mean you instantly receive the mount. Make sure you have enough Wen ready before you start hunting for one.
Watch for the Horse Spawn Message
You don’t have to randomly wander around the entire map hoping to find a horse.
When a horse event starts, you’ll receive a message on the left side of your screen saying:
“One of Moldi Sugar’s horses has escaped. Tame it first.”
This message means a horse has spawned somewhere on the map.
Once you see it, you should immediately start searching.
The horse can be claimed by the player who finds and tames it first, so speed matters.
How to Tame the Horse
Once you find the escaped horse, approach it and begin the taming process.
After successfully taming it, the game will require you to purchase the horse for:
15,000 Wen
It’s a slightly strange system since you’re technically taming the horse and then paying for it afterward, but that’s currently how the mount system works.
Horse Spawn Locations
The horse doesn’t appear at one permanent location.
Instead, it can spawn in different areas of the map.
Based on repeated sightings, there are several locations that are worth checking whenever the horse spawn message appears.
Horse Location 1 — Mother Bear Area
One of the most useful places to check is around the Mother Bear boss area.
This is one of the locations where the horse has been seen multiple times.
If you’re close to the Mother Bear area when the spawn notification appears, I’d definitely check here first.
Horse Location 2 — Near the Starter Areas
The horse can also appear around the early-game areas.
Locations near places such as Windy Village are worth checking.
These areas are particularly interesting because the current horse is a common rarity, and the available evidence suggests that it tends to appear around the starter portions of the map more frequently.
Other Possible Spawn Locations
There are several other spots where the horse has been spotted.
Some locations have produced horses multiple times, while others have only been seen once.
Because the spawn isn’t guaranteed to happen at one fixed point, it’s better to learn several possible locations rather than repeatedly checking just one.
A simple route through the common spawn areas can save you time.
Why Does the Horse Spawn Near Starter Areas?
One possible reason is the horse’s current rarity.
The horse available right now is a common-rarity horse, and an admin has reportedly confirmed that more horses will be added in the future.
That means the current mount isn’t necessarily going to remain the only option forever.
Since this is currently the basic/common horse, it makes sense that it can frequently appear around easier starter areas such as Windy Village and the Mother Bear region.
As more horse variants are added, the spawn system could potentially become more varied.
The Fastest Way to Find a Horse
If you don’t want to wait around in one server, server hopping is the best method to try.
Instead of staying in the same server and hoping the horse appears, jump between servers and check the common spawn locations.
This gives you multiple opportunities to find a horse without waiting for one event cycle in the same server.
How to Server Hop
You can access the server list by opening the menu.
On keyboard:
- Press M.
- Open Find Servers.
- Select All servers.
- Look for a server with fewer players.
- Join it.
- Check the common horse spawn locations.
- Repeat if you don’t find one.
Choosing servers with fewer players can also help because there are fewer people competing for the horse.
Why Low-Population Servers Help
The horse can be claimed by another player if they reach it first.
So even if you enter a server where a horse has already spawned, another player may have already found it.
Low-population servers reduce the number of players you have to compete against.
If you’re lucky, you can join a server and find the horse almost immediately.
Make Sure You Have 15,000 Wen
There’s one mistake you don’t want to make after spending time finding the horse.
Don’t forget the 15,000 Wen purchase cost.
Finding and taming the horse isn’t enough. You’ll need the required currency to complete the purchase.
So before you start server hopping, make sure you already have at least:
15,000 Wen
ready to go.
Fast Horse Farming Method
If your main goal is to get the mount as quickly as possible, I’d use this method:
Step 1 — Save 15,000 Wen
Get the required currency before you start hunting.
Step 2 — Wait for the Notification
Watch the left side of your screen for the escaped horse message.
Step 3 — Check Common Locations
Start with areas around:
- Windy Village
- Mother Bear
- Other starter-region locations
Step 4 — Server Hop
If you don’t find the horse, don’t spend ages searching the same server.
Open the server menu and join another low-population server.
Step 5 — Repeat
Check the common spawn areas again and continue hopping until you find one.
Step 6 — Tame and Purchase
Once you locate the horse, tame it and pay the 15,000 Wen required to obtain the mount.
Are More Horses Coming?
According to the information mentioned in the video, an admin has already confirmed that more horses will be added in the future.
The horse currently available is considered a common-rarity mount, so it may eventually be joined by better or rarer variants.
For now, though, this is the horse you can work toward getting.
The hardest part of getting the Horse Mount in Slayers 2 isn’t actually the 15,000 Wen cost. It’s finding the horse before someone else does.
Once you see the “One of Moldi Sugar’s horses has escaped. Tame it first.” notification, don’t waste time. Check the common starter-area locations and, if necessary, start server hopping.
I’d recommend having your 15,000 Wen ready beforehand so that when you finally find the horse, you can tame it and purchase it immediately.
And since more horses are expected to be added in the future, this current common mount may only be the beginning of the game’s horse system.
