One of the first choices you’ll make in Examination is deciding which class to play. At first glance, they might look like simple weapon loadouts, but each class is built for a completely different role. Some focus on keeping teammates alive, others excel at breaking through dangerous areas, while a few are designed for experienced players who want access to stronger equipment.

If you’re just starting out, don’t worry about unlocking everything immediately. Every class has a purpose, and understanding what each one does will help you contribute to your team much more effectively.

This guide covers every class currently available in Examination, including their weapons, equipment, unlock requirements, and the situations where each one performs best.

Roblox Examination Classes Tier List – Best Class to Pick

Before selecting a class, every player begins as Classless.

Classes can be selected inside the class selection room by interacting with the panel located on the right-hand wall after entering.

The class menu is divided into two sections:

  • Standard Classes at the top
  • Special-Ops Classes at the bottom (displayed with a darker color)

Certain Special-Ops classes require specific unlock conditions before they become available.

Shared Equipment

Regardless of which class you choose, every player receives the following standard equipment:

  • LNX-02 Combat Wrap
  • LUM-5 “GlowCell”
  • TRC-44 “Foxtalk” Uplink

These items form the basic survival kit and remain available across every class.

Classless

Every player starts as Classless before selecting another class.

Starting Weapons

Most players receive:

  • A9 Brigadier
  • Flashlight attached to the weapon

Players who have reached the rank of Sergeant or higher instead begin with:

  • Lock-17
  • Weapon-mounted flashlight

Your character’s appearance also changes depending on your current rank.

Best For

  • New players
  • Learning game mechanics
  • Players who haven’t selected a class yet

Standard Classes

These classes are available to everyone without special requirements.

The Standard class is the most balanced option available.

Breacher

Breacher focuses entirely on aggressive combat.

Loadout

Medic

Medic keeps the squad alive during difficult encounters.

Rioter works differently from every other class in Examination.

Instead of selecting it from the class menu, players must obtain it during gameplay.

Find an MPD Shielder and hold the E key on its corpse.

Loadout

Primary Weapon

  • Beanbag Shotgun

Secondary Weapon

  • None

Equipment

  • MX-21 Hand Torch

Important Note

Using Rioter does not count as selecting a class for the UNDEREQUIPPED challenge.

That makes it useful for players attempting that requirement while still gaining access to a unique loadout.

Complete Class Overview

Class Unlock Requirement Primary Weapon Equipment Role
Classless None A9 Brigadier / Lock-17 Shared Equipment Default
Standard None SMX-9 Ammo Box Balanced
Breacher None SRS-58 None Assault
Medic None VGS-9 MedUnit Healer
Leader V-O-P IA AR-56 Pulse Node Support
Operator UNDEREQUIPPED MPV-SD Ammo Box Balanced Special-Ops
Pointman UNDEREQUIPPED PMS-12T “Hammer” Halligan Bar Frontline
Corpsman UNDEREQUIPPED VGS-45 “Striker” MedUnit Advanced Healer
Commander UNDEREQUIPPED AR-19 “Phantom” or SR-58 “Spearhead” Pulse Node Tactical Support
Rioter Interact with MPD Shielder corpse Beanbag Shotgun Hand Torch Temporary Sub-Class

If you’re completely new to Examination, the Standard class is the safest starting point thanks to its balanced weapon and Ammo Box. Players who enjoy supporting teammates will get the most value from Medic, while those who prefer pushing into combat should consider Breacher.

Once you’ve unlocked the Special-Ops classes, Operator becomes one of the strongest all-around picks, Corpsman is excellent for dedicated support players, and Commander offers perhaps the most flexible loadout for experienced squads. No matter which class you choose, playing to its intended role will usually benefit your entire team far more than simply focusing on eliminations.
