The Skill Builder V2 system in The Strongest Battlegrounds lets players create fully custom moves using animations, hitboxes, effects, sounds, projectiles, counters, and more.
If the editor feels confusing at first, don’t worry. Most of the complexity comes from learning how timelines and hitboxes work together.
How to Use Skill Builder V2 in The Strongest Battlegrounds
To start creating moves:
- Open Character Creator
- Select a move slot
- Open the Skill Builder
From here, you can:
- Create custom moves
- Edit animations
- Add effects

- Save custom attacks
Important UI Settings
Before making moves, open:
- Expand Tools
- Keybind Settings
- UI
Here you can:
- Resize the editor
- Make the timeline larger

A larger timeline makes timing effects and hitboxes much easier.
Gauntlet Validator Explained
One of the most important tools is the:
- Gauntlet Validator
This tool:
- Detects broken move setups
- Finds timeline problems
- Identifies missing hitboxes
- Helps fix invalid builds
Always press:
- Find Issues
before saving a move.
Understanding the Timeline
The timeline controls:
- Animation timing
- Effects
- Damage timing
- Knockback timing
- Hit detection
Everything must sync properly.
Bad timing causes:
- Delayed damage
- Broken combos
- Weird knockback
- Unnatural animations
How Animations Work
You can either:
- Create custom animations
- Use preset animations
Creating Your Own Animation
Move body parts on the timeline to create motion.
Example:
- Move arm at Frame 1
- Move arm lower at Frame 20
- Play animation
The editor automatically transitions between poses.
These timeline points are called:
- Keyframes
Using Preset Animations
If you don’t want to animate manually:
- Load preset animations
Examples include:
- Kicks
- Punches
- Slams
- Weapon attacks
Simply drag an animation into the timeline.
Move Settings Explained

For most melee attacks:

Status Effects
You can add effects like:
