The new Lotus update is finally here in Slap Battles, and with it comes the brand-new Lotus Glove. This glove is actually pretty special because it was created through the community upvote system, meaning a player-designed concept officially got added into the game.
If you’ve been confused by all the fake or clickbait videos going around, here’s the full breakdown of how the Lotus Glove obtainment works and what you actually need to do to unlock it.
Lotus Glove Badge Requirement
To unlock the Lotus Glove, you need to earn the Blooming Flower badge.
The entire obtainment process revolves around collecting lotus flowers inside a special event area connected to the Four Seasons section.
Entering the Lotus Spring Area
According to the official obtainment description, the Spring Path door inside the Four Seasons area will eventually open.
Once the door opens, you’ll get teleported into a special location called Lotus Spring.
Inside Lotus Spring there will be:
- Sakura security trees
- A lake with lily pads
- A house
- Multiple hidden lotus flowers
This is where the entire challenge takes place.
How the 5-Day Lotus Flower System Works
The event is split into five in-game days.
Time Limits
- Days 1 to 4 each last 4 minutes
- Day 5 lasts 10 minutes
Your goal across all five days is to collect all 30 lotus flowers.
Lotus Flower Spawn Breakdown
The flowers are split between the different days.
Day 1
- 10 flowers
Day 2
- 6 flowers
Day 3
- 6 flowers
Day 4
- 7 flowers
Day 5
- Final flower and cleanup phase
The good thing is that if you miss flowers during earlier days, you can still collect them later.
So failing to fully clear Day 1 doesn’t instantly ruin the run.
Things Change Every Day
One of the interesting mechanics is that Lotus Spring changes slightly each day.
According to the obtainment details:
- Some lily pads appear or disappear
- Sakura trees gain more leaves
- The house changes slightly
So the map slowly evolves throughout the challenge.
The Final Day Mechanic
Day 5 is where the actual final test happens.
If you reach Day 5 with 29 flowers collected, a message appears saying:
“Last lotus is here. I can feel it.”
If you do not have 29 flowers before the timer ends, the game instead displays:
“I failed.”
So getting all previous flowers is extremely important.
Lotus Ability and Obby Section
Once you successfully reach 29 flowers, things get harder.
You receive:
- The Lotus flower ability above your character
- The Lantern Glove
- Five hearts for the challenge
After that, you need to complete a special obby that can only be completed using the Lotus ability.
Frog Mechanic During the Obby
While doing the obby, frogs will appear and try to attack you.
Your job is to slap the frogs back into the water before they hit you.
Since you only have five hearts, taking too many hits can fail the challenge.
Getting the Final Flower
At the end of the obby, you’ll find the 30th and final lotus flower.
Collecting it rewards you with:
- The Blooming Flower badge
- The Lotus Glove
What Makes the Lotus Glove Special
One interesting thing about this update is that the Lotus Glove was community designed.
The glove concept originally came from community voting before eventually being added officially into the game.
That’s why the update itself feels a little different compared to normal glove releases.
The Lotus Glove honestly has one of the more unique obtainment methods added to Slap Battles in a while.
Instead of just doing a short badge puzzle or boss fight, this one feels more like a full mini-event with:
- multiple phases
- changing environments
- flower collection
- obby gameplay
- survival mechanics
The five-day structure also makes it feel a lot more interactive than most normal glove unlocks.
It definitely looks harder than many previous badge gloves, but honestly the whole event seems pretty fun compared to some of the usual grind-heavy obtainments.
