If you’ve been exploring the First Sea in Blox Fruits Update 30, you may have already noticed that there’s a lot more to find than just the usual quests and NPCs. The update has added a whole secret system, and some of these secrets can appear in places you probably wouldn’t think to check.
There are 40 secrets spread across the First Sea, including small puzzles, randomly appearing quests, and even awakened boss encounters. So, if you’re trying to find everything, you’ll need to do a bit more than simply follow the normal quest progression.
I’ve gone through what we currently know about the system below. This isn’t just about one particular secret location either; I’ll explain what to look for and where I would personally start searching if I wanted to uncover as many of these secrets as possible.
What Are the New First Sea Secrets in Blox Fruits?
The new secrets are essentially additional activities that can appear throughout the First Sea.
According to the Update 30 information, they can take several different forms, including:
- Small puzzles
- Randomly spawning quests
- Awakened boss fights
- Hidden areas
- Secret NPCs
There are 40 new secrets in total, so don’t expect to find everything by simply checking one island.
Some secrets can appear randomly, which means you may need to revisit an area more than once.
How Secret Levels Work
There’s actually a pretty important reason to hunt these secrets instead of treating them as optional side content.
Completing secrets rewards you with Secret Levels.
These levels allow you to progress beyond the previous grinding cap of 2,800. If you manage to complete all of the currently available Secret Levels, the new maximum level can reach 3,000.
So, if you’re already close to the old level cap, these secrets are going to be particularly important.
Look for Random NPCs Around the Islands
One of the easiest things to miss is a randomly spawning NPC.
While exploring the First Sea, keep an eye out for characters that don’t normally belong in that particular location. If you see an NPC somewhere that looks unusual or out of place, don’t just run past them.
These NPCs can be connected to secret quests.
I’d recommend checking the islands carefully whenever you’re traveling through them. You don’t necessarily need to search every single corner every time, but an NPC that suddenly appears where you haven’t seen one before is definitely worth investigating.
Check the Boss Islands
You should also spend some time checking the boss islands throughout the First Sea.
That’s because some secrets can involve randomly awakened bosses.
If you’re already familiar with where the normal bosses spawn, use that knowledge to your advantage. Visit those areas and check whether something unusual has appeared.
An awakened boss isn’t necessarily going to be there every time you visit, so don’t assume you’ve missed something just because the area looks normal during one visit.
Search for Hidden Areas
The third thing I would keep an eye out for is hidden areas.
Some of the new secrets aren’t simply going to be an NPC standing in an obvious location. There are hidden areas containing puzzles that you’ll need to discover while exploring.
This is where the update gets a little more interesting because you’ll need to actually look around the environment instead of just following quest markers.
Check suspicious-looking areas, hidden spaces, and places that seem like they might have something behind them.
Secrets Master NPC
There is also a new Secrets Master NPC added to the First Sea.
This NPC is worth looking for because it has its own special secret connected to it.
In other words, don’t assume the Secrets Master is simply there to explain the system. The NPC itself is part of the new secrets content.
If you’re trying to complete all 40 secrets, I’d definitely make finding this NPC one of your early goals.
Are All 40 Secrets Known?
At the moment, the full locations and solutions for every secret aren’t available from the information covered here.
The important thing is understanding how the system works so you can start finding them yourself.
Because some of the secrets can randomly spawn, it also means that blindly copying a single route may not be enough to discover everything.
I’ll be keeping an eye on the different secrets and their locations as more of them are discovered.
Tips for Finding First Sea Secrets Faster
If you’re planning to hunt the secrets yourself, here’s how I’d approach it.
First, explore every First Sea island instead of sticking to the areas you normally use for grinding. Pay particular attention to NPCs that look out of place.
Next, check the boss islands regularly for awakened bosses. If nothing unusual is happening, move on and come back later rather than wasting all your time in one location.
Finally, explore the environment. Some secrets involve hidden areas and puzzles, so don’t rely entirely on NPCs or normal quest markers.
The biggest thing is simply paying attention. These secrets are designed to give you reasons to explore the First Sea again.
Why You Should Find All the Secrets
The biggest reward for completing these secrets is the additional level progression.
The old grinding cap was 2,800, but Secret Levels allow you to push beyond that. Completing all currently available Secret Levels can take you up to Level 3,000.
That makes the secrets much more than a collection of random side activities. If you’re aiming for maximum progression, you’ll eventually need to deal with them.
The new First Sea Secrets in Blox Fruits Update 30 add a completely different way to explore the game. With 40 secrets spread across the islands, you’ll find a mixture of random quests, unusual NPCs, awakened bosses, hidden areas, and puzzles.
My advice is not to rush through the First Sea assuming you’ve already seen everything. Keep checking for NPCs that don’t normally spawn, revisit boss locations, and investigate areas that look suspicious.
And if you’re pushing toward the new Level 3,000 cap, these secrets are definitely worth hunting because the Secret Levels are what let you progress beyond 2,800.
