One of the side quests during the FishFest 2026 event requires players to help Sandy Finn locate 10 hidden crabs scattered around FishFest Island. While the quest itself is simple, some of the crabs are hidden in places that are easy to overlook, making it frustrating if you do not know where to search.
This guide shows all 10 crab locations so you can finish the quest quickly and claim your rewards.
How to Start the Sandy Finn Quest
Travel to FishFest Island and locate Sandy Finn near the Krabby Coconut area.
Speak with him to begin the quest. After accepting it, you will need to find and spot all 10 hidden crabs around the island.
Once every crab has been found, return to Sandy Finn to complete the quest.
Crab #1 – Drink Vendor Stand
The first crab is one of the easiest to find.
Go to the Drink Vendor and look behind the counter. The crab is sitting on the shelf near the vendor area.
Interact with it to register your first crab.
Crab #2 – Blue House
From the FishFest Merchant, head toward the blue house nearby.
Look on the ground next to the flowers outside the house. You will find the second crab there.
Crab #3 – Single Palm Tree Island
Travel to the small island that contains only one palm tree.
Near the base of that palm tree, you will find the third crab.
Crab #4 – Red Lighthouse
Head to the Red Lighthouse and climb all the way to the top.
Walk onto the outer railing section and look around carefully. The fourth crab is located there.
Crab #5 – Yellow Lighthouse
Travel to the island with the Yellow Lighthouse.
Near the entrance of the lighthouse, you will find the fifth crab waiting on the ground.
Crab #6 – Sand Castle Wall
Make your way to the Sand Castle area.
Look along the castle wall and climb up if necessary. The sixth crab is attached to the side of the structure.
Crab #7 – Cliff Above the Blue House
Return to the blue house from earlier.
Climb onto the roof and jump onto the nearby cliff ledge above it.
The seventh crab can be found on that elevated platform.
Crab #8 – Waterfall Exterior
Locate the large waterfall on FishFest Island.
The eighth crab is sitting near the outside edge of the waterfall.
Crab #9 – Hidden Waterfall Cave
Enter the waterfall itself.
Inside the hidden cave section, look toward the right side. You will discover the ninth crab hidden within the waterfall.
Crab #10 – Village Balcony
Go back to the village area where the Sunshell Merchant is located.
Climb up onto the balcony above the merchant area. The final crab is waiting there.
Sandy Finn Quest Rewards
After finding all 10 crabs, return to Sandy Finn and turn in the quest.
Rewards include:
- 500 Sunshells
- 5 Coastal Crates
The quest is also required for players working toward full FishFest completion and certain event progression objectives.
Final Tips
- Start the quest before collecting any crabs.
- Use a Glider or movement items to travel faster.
- Double-check each location if your counter is not increasing.
- The Waterfall Cave and Balcony crabs are the most commonly missed locations.
- Return to Sandy Finn immediately after collecting the tenth crab to claim your rewards.
Once all 10 crabs are found, you’ll earn extra Sunshells, Coastal Crates, and make progress toward fully completing the FishFest 2026 event.
