The September 4, 2026 update for Creatures of Sonaria adds two new creatures, including Acona, which is obtained by defeating the new Element Boss. The boss fight has several mechanics to deal with, but you can complete it solo or with friends as long as you meet the creature requirement.
How to Defeat the Element Boss and Get Acona in Creatures of Sonaria
The Element Boss appears randomly after the region is restored from corruption. Once it spawns, head to the Central Rockfaces area, where you can find the portal leading to the boss arena.
Only an adult or elder Arc Dragon of Life can enter the fight, so make sure your creature has reached the required growth stage before attempting the boss.
After the boss spawns, the battle begins after a short countdown. You can check the timer near the portal before entering the arena.
How to Defeat the Element Boss
Once inside the boss arena, your main objective is to weaken the Element Boss by destroying its Elemental Spires.
The boss has a large amount of health and can deal heavy damage, so avoid its attacks while focusing on the spires around the arena.
Destroy the Elemental Spires
Look around the arena for the Elemental Spires. Attack and destroy them to weaken the boss.
One useful mechanic is that destroying the objects can restore your health, allowing you to stay in the fight longer. Because of this, keep breaking the spires instead of worrying too much about losing health from the boss’s attacks.
The boss also uses a shield during parts of the fight, making it harder to damage directly. Continue dealing with the arena mechanics until the shield drops and you can continue attacking.
Fight With Friends
You don’t have to fight the Element Boss alone. Bringing other players can make the encounter easier, especially because the boss has several mechanics and can deal significant damage.
Keep moving, avoid its attacks, destroy the Elemental Spires and continue attacking until the boss is defeated.
How to Get Acona
After defeating the Element Boss, you receive Elemental Energy along with the new Acona creature.
Acona is a small creature with around 2,000 health, 100 damage, and 110 stamina. It has a short growth time and a relatively light weight compared with larger creatures.
The creature also comes with several abilities, including Vanish, which allows Acona to disappear temporarily before returning a short time later.
Acona also has support-oriented abilities. Its Seedling ability can provide healing, while its Totem can affect creatures around it with poison.
How to Farm Elemental Energy
You can repeatedly defeat the Element Boss to farm the currency used for the update.
Each successful boss defeat gives around 500 Elemental Energy, so repeating the fight is a good way to build up your currency after unlocking Acona.
New Gargoyle Creature
The update also brings back the Gargoyle as another obtainable creature. Unlike Acona, Gargoyle is obtained through the monthly mission.
The monthly mission requires you to complete several objectives over time, including logging in for multiple days, collecting tokens and completing weekly missions.
If you don’t want to complete the mission normally, there is also an option to unlock or skip mission progress using the available in-game currency or Robux.
Gargoyle is a Tier 3 flying creature with around 2,000 health, 260 damage, and 80 stamina. It has abilities and resistances including climbing, Iron Stomach, and protection against several status effects.
Element Boss Rewards
The important rewards from this update are:
- Acona — obtained from defeating the Element Boss
- Elemental Energy — earned from boss victories
- Gargoyle — obtained through the monthly mission
- 500 Elemental Energy — awarded for each Element Boss defeat
