The latest Ninja Time update gives the Intangible clan a major rework, adding new abilities, a new ultimate, a boss encounter, and a full Mangekyo Sharingan questline. If you want to build an Obito Uchiha-inspired character, you will need more than just the right appearance—you also have to complete several quests before you can unlock the clan’s new Eternal ability.
In this post, I will show you how to become Obito Uchiha in Ninja Time and unlock the reworked Intangible Mangekyo Sharingan step by step. I went through the quest requirements, tested the abilities, completed the Mangekyo challenges, and tracked down the new boss required for the progression.
The process can take a while, especially because one part requires you to use Mangekyo Sharingan abilities 75 times and another requires defeating the Intangible boss. Once you finish everything, though, you can unlock the new Eternal ultimate and use the reworked abilities for the complete Obito-style experience.
How to Become Obito Uchiha and Unlock the Reworked Intangible Mangekyo Sharingan in Ninja Time
Before getting into the actual clan and questline, you can start by creating a character that resembles Obito.
For the hairstyle, look through the available spiky hair options. Obito’s hairstyle has a messy, pointed look, so I found that choosing one of the shorter spiky styles gave the closest result.
You can also choose a more serious-looking face to better match his appearance. The exact character customization is up to you, but your character will look much closer to Obito once you obtain the special Intangible clothing later.
The new Intangible outfit is connected to Boss Rush, so you do not necessarily need to have everything immediately. You can start with the basic appearance and continue improving the character as you progress through the update.
Spin for the Intangible Clan
The most important part of the build is getting the Intangible clan.
Go to the clan spinning section and select the clan you want to prioritize. If you have any available codes that provide spins, redeem them before you start since getting the clan can take multiple attempts.
I tried using my available spins for Intangible, but the results were not exactly cooperative. I ended up getting other clans and abilities instead, including things that were clearly not part of the Obito build.
That is simply how the spinning system works. You may get lucky immediately, or you may need significantly more spins before Intangible appears.
Once you successfully have the Intangible clan, you can move on to the new skill tree content.
What Was Added in the Intangible Rework?
The update adds several major pieces of content for the Intangible clan.
According to the update information shown in the game, the rework includes:
- New Intangible clan abilities.
- Three newly added abilities for the clan.
- The new Intangible Eternal ultimate.
- A new Intangible Mangekyo questline.
- A new boss in the Boss Rush pool.
- A chance for the new boss to appear every 15 waves.
- The new Intangible clothing.
The new boss has a 10% chance to appear every 15 waves, which is important because you eventually need to defeat Intangible as part of the Mangekyo progression.
Unlock the New Intangible Abilities
Once you have access to the clan, open your Skill Tree and go to:
Clans > Intangible
You should see the different abilities and progression nodes available for the clan.
The reworked skill tree includes abilities such as:
- Rip Step
- Dimensional Fire Combo
- Ghetto Statue Devastation
- Intangible Eternal Ultimate
Unlock and equip the abilities you can access.
When I first tried testing some of the new moves, I discovered that certain abilities required the appropriate Intangible Rift Walker mode or ultimate progression before they could be used properly.
So, if a move is locked behind the mode requirement, do not worry—you will need to continue with the questline first.
Start the Mangekyo Questline
To begin the new Mangekyo progression, you need to use a Mangekyo Sharingan ability repeatedly.
The initial requirement is to use Mangekyo Sharingan abilities 15 times.
After completing enough uses, you should receive a message indicating that darkness is consuming you and directing you to speak with the Red Eyes leader.
At first, I tried using other Sharingan abilities and was not immediately sure whether they were counting toward the requirement. Eventually, after continuing to use the relevant abilities, the message finally appeared.
If you are not seeing the quest trigger immediately, keep using your Mangekyo-related moves and make sure you are actually activating the abilities required by the quest.
Once the message appears, head to the Red Eyes leader.
Speak With the Red Eyes Leader
After triggering the darkness message, interact with the Red Eyes leader to continue the quest.
This starts the next major objective:
Use Mangekyo Sharingan abilities 75 times.
Yes, after doing the initial 15 uses, you then have to complete another requirement of 75 Mangekyo ability uses.
It sounds like a lot at first, but it becomes much easier if you have several different Mangekyo abilities available. You can rotate between your moves instead of waiting on a single ability’s cooldown.
I used multiple moves repeatedly and checked the quest progress as I continued.
Eventually, after completing all 75 uses, you can return to continue the quest.
Receive the Eye Compartment and Find the Next Quest
After completing the 75 Mangekyo ability requirement, return and interact with the quest NPC again.
You will receive an Eye Compartment as part of the progression.
The next objective sends you toward the next part of the questline, where you need to locate and defeat Intangible.
This is where Boss Rush becomes important.
Enter Boss Rush and Find Intangible
The Intangible boss can appear through the Boss Rush system.
According to the update information, the boss has a 10% chance to appear every 15 waves.
That means you may need to survive and progress through multiple waves before getting the encounter you need.
When I entered Boss Rush, I used the new abilities and progressed through the waves until reaching the boss appearance.
There are plenty of bosses you may encounter along the way, so do not immediately assume every unfamiliar boss is Intangible. Keep progressing until the required encounter appears.
Once Intangible finally spawned, it was time to fight.
Defeat the Intangible Boss
The Intangible boss can be surprisingly dangerous, so be prepared for a difficult fight.
When I encountered him, some of his attacks were strong enough to take me down extremely quickly. You should avoid standing still for too long and use your abilities carefully.
Try using your strongest Intangible and Mangekyo moves whenever you have a good opportunity.
The new Ghetto Statue Devastation ability can be particularly impressive during combat, while the other new abilities can help you deal damage and continue fighting.
After defeating Intangible, the quest progression should update.
You will receive a message indicating that your compartment has changed and that you need to speak with Rift Walker.
Find Rift Walker
The next NPC you need is Rift Walker.
I found him near the Uchiha hideout area.
Once you locate him, interact with him to continue the final part of the Mangekyo questline.
The dialogue completes your progression and confirms that you have become a true member of the Red Eyes group.
After this interaction, you should have access to the completed progression required for the new Eternal ability.
Unlock and Activate Intangible Eternal
Now go back to your skill tree and return to:
Clans > Intangible
You should now be able to access the completed Eternal progression.
Equip the appropriate mode and activate it using your assigned key.
The new form gives your character the reworked Mangekyo-style appearance and allows you to use the new ultimate ability.
When activated, the mode and effects look significantly more polished than the previous version, especially when combined with the new attacks.
Test the New Ultimate and Abilities
After unlocking everything, you can finally test the reworked moves properly.
The update includes several abilities that fit the dimensional and Mangekyo theme of the Intangible clan.
Some of the most notable moves include:
Rip Step
Rip Step is one of the abilities available through the Intangible skill tree.
It fits the mobility-focused style of the clan and is part of the new ability progression.
Dimensional Fire Combo
Dimensional Fire Combo is another new move added with the rework.
The ability has a visually impressive effect and works well with the rest of the updated Intangible moveset.
Ghetto Statue Devastation
Ghetto Statue Devastation was one of my favorite abilities from the update.
The move looks extremely powerful and gives the Intangible build a much more dramatic combat option.
Intangible Eternal Ultimate
The Intangible Eternal Ultimate is the major reward for completing the full questline.
After finishing the Mangekyo requirements, defeating Intangible, and speaking with Rift Walker, you can finally activate and test the ultimate.
The visual effects are one of the strongest parts of the update, and the developers did a great job making the final attack feel like a proper reward for completing the entire progression.
Can You Get the Intangible Clothing?
Yes, the update also adds Intangible clothing, which helps complete the Obito-inspired appearance.
The clothing is connected to the Boss Rush content, so you will need to participate in that activity to work toward obtaining it.
Combining the outfit with the Intangible clan, the new Mangekyo progression, and an Obito-inspired character appearance gives you the closest possible version of the character in Ninja Time.
The Intangible rework adds much more than just a few new moves. The new Mangekyo questline gives you an actual progression path to work through, and having to complete the ability requirements, defeat the boss, and find the different NPCs makes unlocking the Eternal form feel more rewarding.
The 75 Mangekyo ability requirement is probably the part that will take the longest, while finding and defeating Intangible can depend on your Boss Rush run and the boss appearance chance.
Personally, I really liked the new abilities and the final ultimate. The Ghetto Statue Devastation move and the Eternal ultimate both look great, and the overall rework does a solid job of making the Intangible clan feel much more powerful.
If you are trying to become Obito Uchiha in Ninja Time, getting the Intangible clan, completing the Mangekyo questline, and obtaining the special clothing are the main things you should focus on. Once everything is unlocked, you can finally use the complete reworked Intangible Mangekyo build.
