Zenara and Astralym are the final Tower Boss in Palworld Version 1.0 and represent the game’s ultimate challenge. Located inside the Sealed Sanctum at the World Tree, this battle tests everything you’ve learned throughout your adventure. Astralym uses multiple elemental attacks, devastating arena-wide abilities, and powerful phase transitions that require careful preparation and precise execution.
To defeat the final boss, you’ll need max-level Pals, endgame equipment, and a well-built combat team.

Where to Find Zenara and Astralym
Zenara and Astralym are located inside the Sealed Sanctum in the western section of the World Tree.
You can only access this area after completing the Panthalus questline and unlocking the sealed entrance using every Key Sphere earned by defeating the previous Tower Bosses.
How to Beat Zenara and Astralym
Reach Level 80
This fight is designed for players who have reached the maximum level.
Since your Pals cannot exceed your own level, reaching Level 80 allows your strongest companions to fight at their full potential. Attempting the battle while underleveled significantly reduces both your survivability and damage output.
If you still need experience, focus on defeating Alpha Pals, clearing endgame dungeons, and completing other high-level activities before entering the Sealed Sanctum.
Craft the Best Endgame Equipment
Astralym constantly bombards the arena with lasers, tornadoes, projectiles, and massive area-of-effect attacks.
Because of this, wearing the strongest armor available is almost mandatory.
The Lightweight Ancient Armor is generally the best option thanks to its excellent balance between defense and mobility, while the Ancient Helm and Ancient Shield provide additional protection throughout the encounter.
For weapons, the Beam Launcher delivers incredible burst damage during vulnerability windows, while the Plasma Rifle offers excellent sustained damage during longer phases.
Upgrade Your Pals at the Statue of Power
Before entering the battle, spend Pal Souls at a Statue of Power to increase your strongest Pals’ HP, Attack, and Defense.
Because these bonuses scale with base stats, investing in fully leveled combat Pals provides a significant increase in both survivability and damage throughout the fight.
Use Your Strongest Combat Pals
Astralym has no elemental type and therefore no elemental weakness.
Instead of building around elemental counters, focus on Pals with the highest Attack, Defense, and powerful Active Skills. Strong passive abilities and high overall stats contribute far more damage than attempting to match elements.
Breed the Demon God Passive
One of the strongest passive abilities for this encounter is Demon God, which increases Attack by 30% while also providing a small Defense bonus.
Although obtaining it through breeding can take time, combining Demon God with other powerful passives creates some of the strongest combat Pals possible.
Use Legendary and Lucky Passives
Legendary and Lucky Pals naturally possess some of the best combat passives available.
Even if you don’t plan to use those Pals directly, breeding their passive skills onto your strongest fighters is highly recommended. Combining Legend, Lucky, and Demon God creates exceptionally powerful endgame builds capable of dealing massive damage to Astralym.
Keep Moving Throughout the Fight
Astralym constantly fills the arena with overlapping attacks.
Lasers, tornadoes, homing projectiles, and falling objects frequently appear at the same time, making stationary play extremely dangerous.
Continue moving throughout the encounter and make frequent use of the dodge mechanic to avoid incoming attacks. Even a brief pause can result in taking multiple hits at once.
Fight While Mounted
Using a Flying Pal makes the battle considerably easier.
Astralym moves rapidly around the arena, and remaining mounted allows you to keep pace while avoiding many of the boss’s larger area attacks. Flying also provides better positioning for ranged weapons throughout the encounter.
Interrupt Astralym’s Charging Attack
Several times during the fight, Astralym flies toward the center of the arena and begins charging an enormous attack.
As soon as this animation starts, concentrate every available attack on the boss—especially its wings—to interrupt the charge before it finishes.
Allowing the attack to complete can result in an almost unavoidable blast capable of defeating both you and your active Pal.
Save Your Strongest Attacks for the Final Phase
During the final phase, Astralym becomes far more aggressive and begins charging one last devastating attack.
This is the moment to unleash everything you’ve saved throughout the fight.
Use your strongest Active Skills, Partner Skills, Beam Launcher shots, and Pal abilities together to finish the battle before Astralym completes its final attack.
Best Pals for Zenara and Astralym
Jetragon
Jetragon is one of the safest choices for this encounter thanks to its incredible speed. As the fastest flying mount in the game, it makes avoiding lasers, tornadoes, and other large attacks much easier. Its mounted missile attacks also allow you to continue dealing damage while constantly repositioning around the arena.
Orserk
Orserk combines outstanding offensive stats with powerful long-range skills such as Meteorain and Polykeraunos. Since Astralym frequently moves around the battlefield, Orserk can maintain consistent damage from a safe distance. Its Partner Skill also boosts your own offensive potential during combat.
Bastigor
Bastigor offers excellent survivability while dealing tremendous burst damage. Its high HP allows it to remain active much longer than many offensive Pals, while attacks like Double Blizzard Spike and Rocky Impact inflict massive damage whenever Astralym leaves itself vulnerable.
Best Weapons
Beam Launcher
The Beam Launcher delivers the highest burst damage available in Version 1.0, making it ideal for interrupting Astralym’s charging attacks and finishing the final phase quickly.
Plasma Rifle
The Plasma Rifle provides excellent sustained ranged damage and is easier to use during the boss’s more mobile phases.
Best Armor
Lightweight Ancient Armor
Lightweight Ancient Armor offers outstanding protection without sacrificing mobility, making it the best overall armor choice for the final battle.
Ancient Helm
The Ancient Helm increases overall survivability and pairs perfectly with other Ancient equipment.
Ancient Shield
The Ancient Shield absorbs a significant amount of incoming damage, helping you survive Astralym’s relentless attacks during the longer phases of the encounter.
