The Catacombs map in Escape Room: The Sealed Castle features several connected puzzles that can be tricky on your first playthrough. Most of the challenges rely on paying close attention to paintings, symbols, and hidden clues scattered throughout the room.

Solve the Tomb Statue Puzzle
The first puzzle is based on the painting near the entrance.
Each character in the painting shows which hand is holding a particular weapon. Your goal is to rotate the matching statues so their weapons are held in the correct hand.
Set each tomb as follows:

Once every statue matches the painting, the sixth locked tomb will open.
Open it and collect the Key inside.
Complete the Colored Path Puzzle
Use the key to unlock the next area.
You’ll find a floor puzzle with colored tiles. The solution is shown underneath the puzzle.
Follow this order exactly:
- Red
- Purple
- Yellow
- Green
- Blue
- Red
- Purple

Solve the “TOMB” Letter Puzzle
Your next objective is obtaining the lever that opens the following door.
Look around the room and examine the environmental clues.
Each object represents a letter:
- Wooden log → T
- Skull → O
- Mushrooms → M
- Vases → B
Enter the word:
TOMB
The compartment opens and rewards you with the Lever.
Place the lever on the nearby mechanism to continue.
Shield Symbol Puzzle
The next room contains several historical shields along with years.
Your objective is to recreate the shields that correspond to the highest valid years.
Ignore 1416, since its shield doesn’t appear among the available symbols.
Instead, recreate the shields for:
- 1385
- 1307
- 1120
- 982
After entering the correct shield patterns, you’ll receive a container of Acid.
Use the Acid
Take the Acid to the nearby sealed doorway.
Pour it onto the lock to dissolve it.
Inside the room you’ll find a Diamond.
Place the Diamond into its matching pedestal.
Card Symbol Puzzle
After placing the Diamond, you’ll see four playing card symbols.
Write them down in this exact order:
- Red Club
- Black Heart
- Black Spade
- Red Diamond
You’ll need these symbols for the next puzzle.
Find the Skull Teeth Code
Now search the Catacombs for skulls marked with the four card symbols.
For each matching skull, count the number of visible teeth.
The counts are:

Following the original symbol order gives the final code:

Enter 7285 into the lock.
Inside you’ll receive a Medal.
Place the Medal
Take the Medal and place it on the nearby chair or pedestal.
Doing so unlocks the final exit.
Escape the Catacombs
After placing the Medal, return to the very beginning of the map.
A previously locked door is now open.
Walk through it and leave the castle to successfully complete the Catacombs map.
