If you’re grinding levels, farming mobs, or just trying to progress faster in Clover Origins, your grimoire choice matters way more than most players realize. Some feel flashy but slow you down hard, while others melt NPCs before they even react.
I went through the full tier list and broke it down in a way that actually helps you decide what to keep, reroll, or grind for.
D Tier
Regen
This one sounds useful on paper. Sustain, healing, survivability… but in reality, it just doesn’t deliver. The healing isn’t strong enough to justify the terrible damage output. In PvE grinding, killing faster is always better than surviving longer.
If you’re thinking “maybe I can play safe with this,” don’t. You’ll just end up wasting time.
Reinforcement
Even worse for grinding. The AoE is weak, and that alone kills it for PvE. You can make it work in PvP with skill, but for farming mobs? Not worth touching.
C Tier
Water
This one sits in that awkward “not bad, not great” zone. Two moves carry it hard:
- Water Barrage hits surprisingly strong
- Water Pillar gives decent utility
The rest of the kit feels underwhelming. If you roll this early, you’re fine for a while. Just don’t get attached.
Earth
Honestly, this one is a bit underrated depending on your playstyle.
- Big AoE makes it great for grouping enemies
- Feels smooth when farming multiple NPCs
But here’s the problem: damage. It just doesn’t hit hard enough. You’ll gather mobs fast… and then take forever to finish them.
B Tier
Fire
This is the most average grimoire in the game.
- Decent damage
- Average AoE
- Burn effect adds some extra DPS
Nothing feels broken, but nothing feels bad either. If you land on Fire, you can comfortably grind with it… just know there are better options waiting.
A Tier
Lightning
This is where things start getting interesting.
- High burst damage
- Solid AoE
- Strong combo potential if you land hits consistently
If you know how to chain your moves properly, Lightning becomes really strong. It rewards skill more than most grimoires.
Dark
Not as commonly used, but still very solid.
- Good AoE coverage
- Reliable damage output
It doesn’t feel flashy, but it gets the job done. Think of it as a stable, consistent option when you don’t want to rely on combos or mechanics too much.
S Tier
Time
This one is just stacked.
- High damage
- Strong passives
- Great mobility and dodging
- Insane ultimate AoE
Time feels smooth, powerful, and safe all at once. You can farm quickly while barely taking damage. If you get this, there’s honestly no reason to reroll unless you’re aiming for the absolute best.
Wind
Wind is one of those grimoires that surprises you.
- Great AoE for clearing groups
- Strong overall damage
- Has a transformation that boosts performance massively
Once you unlock and use the transformation properly, Wind becomes insanely efficient for grinding.
Anti-Magic
This one is a bit more niche.
- Scales differently (sword-based)
- Has a transformation
- Strong potential depending on build
Not everyone likes it, but in the right setup, it can perform really well. It just requires more commitment than others.
SSS Tier
Light
No competition here.
- Huge AoE
- Extremely high damage
- Built-in healing with its speed move
This is the kind of grimoire that makes grinding feel unfair… in a good way. You clear mobs fast, stay healthy, and barely need to think about survival.
If you roll Light, you’re done. That’s your endgame PvE grimoire.
Fire Magma
This one is the surprise monster.
- Insane burn damage
- Very high overall DPS
- Solid AoE
Even though it’s not the rarest, it performs like a top-tier option. If you can’t get Light, this is easily one of the best alternatives for pure grinding efficiency.
