One of the biggest additions in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is the new Trinket system. If you’ve played the original Black Flag, this feature might catch you by surprise because it simply didn’t exist back then.
At first, I underestimated Trinkets and assumed they were just collectible items. After trying a few of them, though, it became obvious that some can completely change how you approach combat, stealth, exploration, or even farming money.
The best part is that you can equip two Trinkets at the same time, letting you mix different perks to suit your playstyle.
This guide covers every Trinket currently available, what each one does, and exactly how to unlock it.
Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced All Trinkets Guide – Effects
Trinkets are special equipment items that provide permanent passive bonuses while equipped.
Unlike weapons or armor, they don’t increase your damage directly. Instead, they grant unique effects that improve different parts of the game, including:
- Combat
- Stealth
- Exploration
- Diving
- Hunting
- Money farming
- Loot collection
Since you can equip two Trinkets simultaneously, experimenting with different combinations is encouraged.

This is an excellent Trinket for players who rely heavily on stealth assassinations.
Brass Bird Trinket
Effect
- Reduces Rope Dart cooldown.
How to Get
Exclusive bonus for the Deluxe Edition of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced.
If you frequently use the Rope Dart during combat or stealth, this Trinket noticeably improves its availability.
Diamond Trinket
Effect
- Oxygen drains more slowly while underwater.
How to Get
Found inside an Underwater Chest beneath the first viewpoint at Cape Bonavista.
This is one of the earliest Trinkets you can obtain and makes underwater exploration much less stressful.
Exotic Sea Shells
Effect
- Increases the amount of wildlife resources gained from skinning animals.
How to Get
Loot the Secret Chest located in the southeast section of Havana.
Coordinates: (213, 568)
Perfect if you’re farming crafting materials for equipment upgrades.
Found Coin
Effect
- Increases the amount of Reales earned.
How to Get
Reward from Bernand after collecting several art pieces during the Art Lover side quest.
Coordinates: (830, 444)
Whenever I’m exploring treasure islands or farming money, this is usually the first Trinket I equip.
Gold Earring
Effect
- Slows the rate at which your Wanted Level increases during piracy.
How to Get
Loot the Underwater Chest at Salt Key Bank.
Coordinates: (465, 601)
A useful choice if you spend a lot of time attacking ships or causing trouble across the Caribbean.
Hidden Ones Sigil
Effect
- Enemies take longer to detect you while crouched.
How to Get
Complete The Pirate Captain Assassin Contract.
Coordinates: (598, 763)
This is easily one of the strongest stealth-focused Trinkets in the game.
Lodestone
Effect
- Automatically loots nearby corpses and curios.
How to Get
Purchase it from a General Store for 7,000 Reales.
It may not sound exciting, but once you start using it, it’s surprisingly difficult to take off.
The amount of time it saves during long combat sessions really adds up.
Narwhal’s Horn
Effect
- Enemy guards lose their defensive stance more quickly.
How to Get
Found inside the house on Cat Island.
Simply interact with the notebook lying inside.
Coordinates: (706, 664)
Great for aggressive melee players who don’t enjoy waiting for enemy defenses to open.
Rabbit’s Foot
Effect
- Successful parries have a chance to stagger enemies.
How to Get
Complete the opening mission of the Opia Apito Templar Hunt.
Quest:
The Taino Assassin
Coordinates: (304, 411)
This is one of the strongest combat Trinkets available because staggered enemies become much easier to control during group fights.
Shark Teeth
Effect
- Brute enemies can no longer interrupt Chain Takedowns.
How to Get
Purchase it from a Max-Level General Store for 25,000 Reales.
Although expensive, it’s incredibly useful once tougher enemy types begin appearing more frequently.
Templar Cross
Effect
- Reduces melee damage received.
How to Get
Collect all five Templar Keys and unlock the armor cage inside the Great Inagua Manor during the Damn Fine Gear side quest.
Coordinates: (826, 445)
If I had to recommend only one combat Trinket, this would probably be it.
Reducing incoming melee damage is valuable during nearly every fight in the game.
Yax Tun Pendant
Effect
- All gunshots are mysteriously absorbed.
How to Get
Collect every Mayan Stelae and complete the Mayan Mysteries questline.
Coordinates: (31, 390)
Considering how dangerous enemy gunners become later in the game, this Trinket can completely change difficult encounters.

Trinkets come from several different activities throughout the game.
Complete Story and Side Quests
Several Trinkets are rewarded directly from quests.
Examples include:

If you’re already aiming for 100% completion, you’ll naturally unlock many of them.
Buy Them from Shops
Certain Trinkets can simply be purchased.
You’ll find them in:
- General Stores
- Treasure Dealers
Depending on the item, you’ll either spend Reales or trade valuable resources.
Search Treasure Chests
Some Trinkets are hidden inside guaranteed treasure chests.
These include both:
- Standard overworld chests
- Underwater chests
It’s always worth opening every chest you come across since several powerful Trinkets are hidden this way.
Explore the World
Not every Trinket comes from combat or treasure.
Some are simply lying in the environment waiting to be discovered.
If you enjoy exploring every building and island, you’ll naturally stumble across several unique collectibles.
Also pay attention to conversations with NPCs, as they occasionally hint at hidden Trinket locations.

The Trinket system is one of the features that helps Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced feel fresh even for returning players. Rather than acting as simple collectibles, these items offer meaningful passive bonuses that can noticeably improve combat, exploration, stealth, and resource farming.
If you’re just starting out, I’d recommend grabbing the Rabbit’s Foot and Found Coin as early as possible. Later in the game, upgrading to the Templar Cross for combat or the Yax Tun Pendant for protection against enemy gunfire can make some of the toughest encounters much more manageable. With two Trinket slots available, it’s worth adjusting your loadout before every major activity to get the most out of each adventure.
