A new update has arrived in Last Stop, adding a brand-new Military class with two unique weapons: a Strike Drone and a Minigun.
The class is designed around heavy firepower and gives players a strong option for dealing with groups of zombies and bosses. I tested both weapons against regular enemies, larger zombies, and the Anubis boss to see how well the new class performs.
Here is everything you need to know about the new Military class.
Last Stop New Military Class Guide – Strike Dron Tips
When you select the new Military class, you start the game with two main items:
- Strike Drone
- Minigun
The class also provides discounted ammo as you level up.
The combination of the drone and Minigun gives you both an explosive option for groups of enemies and a high-damage weapon for sustained attacks.
How the Strike Drone Works
The Strike Drone is one of the most interesting additions to the class.
After activating the drone, you switch to its camera view and can control it separately from your character.
The drone has a battery bar that limits how long it can remain active. While controlling it, you can press R to make the drone explode.
Once the drone explodes, you lose its signal and it enters a cooldown. After the cooldown finishes, another drone becomes available.
This makes the drone particularly useful when you’re surrounded by groups of zombies.
Strike Drone Against Zombies
The drone performs very well against groups of regular zombies.
During testing, a large group of zombies was eliminated with a single drone explosion.
Because the drone can be sent away from your character before detonating, it gives the Military class a useful way to clear groups without putting yourself directly in danger.
The main limitation is that you need to wait for another drone after using it.
How the Minigun Works
The second weapon is the Minigun.
Unlike some of the other guns in Last Stop, the Minigun has a short startup period before it begins firing. Once it gets going, however, it fires bullets extremely quickly.
The high fire rate allows you to deal heavy damage in a short amount of time.
The biggest drawback is ammunition consumption. The Minigun burns through ammo quickly, so you’ll need to keep a good supply with you.
Minigun Against Regular Zombies
The Minigun is extremely effective against normal zombies.
Once you start firing, regular enemies can be eliminated very quickly. Larger zombies also go down without requiring much effort as long as you have enough ammunition.
During testing, several large zombies and a large number of smaller enemies were defeated using the Minigun.
This makes the weapon particularly useful when you’re dealing with large groups.
Testing the Military Class Against Anubis
The Minigun was also tested against Anubis, one of the bosses in the game.
The weapon was able to remove Anubis’ health surprisingly quickly.
A single magazine was enough to take away roughly one-quarter of the boss’s health during the first phase. Based on the test, around two magazines, or approximately 300 rounds, could potentially be enough to defeat Anubis once his immunity phases are taken into account.
However, you should not waste ammunition while Anubis is immune.
Anubis Second Phase
Anubis eventually enters his second phase and begins restoring his health.
During this phase, the healing statues need to be destroyed.
As long as the statues remain active, they continue healing the boss. The Minigun is useful here because the statues can be destroyed quickly without requiring repeated reloads.
In the test, the statues were destroyed using relatively little ammunition, allowing the fight to continue without too much difficulty.
Once the statues are destroyed, Anubis can be attacked again.
The Biggest Problem With the Military Class
The Military class is powerful, but ammunition is its biggest weakness.
The class starts with only 150 rounds, which can disappear very quickly when using the Minigun.
Because the weapon has such a high fire rate, you’ll need to bring additional ammunition if you plan to use it during longer missions or boss fights.
The reload also takes slightly longer than some other weapons in the game.
A larger starting ammo supply would make the class more convenient, especially for players who want to use the Minigun throughout an entire run.
Is the Military Class Good for Gameplay?
The Military class provides strong damage and excellent crowd control.
The Strike Drone is useful for clearing groups from a distance, while the Minigun provides consistent damage against regular enemies, large zombies, and bosses.
The main thing you’ll need to manage is ammunition. If you have enough ammo available, the Minigun can make many encounters considerably easier.
The new Military class in Last Stop brings a powerful combination of explosive and automatic weapons to the game.
The Strike Drone can wipe out groups of zombies with a single explosion, while the Minigun can shred enemies and deal heavy damage to bosses such as Anubis.
Its biggest weakness is ammunition consumption. Starting with only 150 rounds means you’ll need to stock up before longer runs, and the Minigun’s reload time can also become noticeable.
Despite that limitation, the new class gives players a strong new way to approach zombie encounters and boss fights in Last Stop.
