If you’ve jumped back into Jujutsu Zero and noticed a few things looking different, you’re not imagining it. The latest update adds a brand-new raid, a completely new way to improve accessories, changes where you get Shadow Island Tickets, and even gives the crafting and Guide Book systems some much-needed improvements.
There are also quite a few smaller changes tucked into the update, so I went through everything added here rather than just focusing on the new raid. Oh, and there’s a new code too, which is probably the first thing you’ll want to grab.
Jujutsu Zero Calamity Update Guide – Refinements, Codes
The biggest addition in this update is the new Curse Calamity Raid.
This isn’t just another raid to run for a few random rewards. It’s currently the main place you’ll want to farm if you’re interested in the new accessory refinement system.
The raid can reward several valuable items, including Limitless V2 materials and, most importantly, the materials needed for refining accessories.
So if you’ve already got some strong accessories and want to push their stats even further, Curse Calamity should be high on your farming list.
New Accessory Refinement System Explained
The update introduces Refinements, a new progression system designed specifically for accessories.
At the moment, refinements only work on accessories. When you refine one, its refinement level increases and its stats become stronger.
Each refinement level gives the accessory a 1.1x multiplier to its stats, with the system currently going all the way up to Refinement Level 6.
That means the system can become especially useful for players who are already using high-end accessories and want to squeeze more stats out of them.
There is one catch, though: refining isn’t guaranteed to succeed.
The system is chance-based, and the success and failure rates change as you climb through the refinement levels. In other words, getting the first few upgrades shouldn’t be treated the same way as trying to reach the higher levels.
The materials required for refinement are obtained exclusively from the Curse Calamity Raid, so you’ll need to spend some time farming the raid if you want to max out an accessory.
For newer players, I’d personally avoid throwing your first refinement materials into a random accessory. It’s probably much smarter to save them for an accessory you know you’re going to keep using.
New Accessory Crafting Questline
There’s also a new Accessory Crafting questline.
This one is mainly aimed at newer players who haven’t really figured out the accessory crafting system yet. The quests introduce the basics of crafting and give you a clearer idea of how the system works.
If you’ve been playing for a while, you probably won’t need much help with this part. But for newer players, it’s a nice way to learn the crafting system without having to figure everything out yourself.
Summer Island Has Been Removed
Summer Island is no longer available in the game.
Along with the island itself, its related quest NPCs have also been removed.
So if you’re looking for one of the old Summer Island quests and can’t find the NPC anymore, this is why.
Crate Reigns Moved Back to Jujutsu Tech
Crate Reigns have been moved back to Jujutsu Tech (JJT).
This means you’ll once again need to head back to JJT whenever a Crate Reign appears.
It’s a small location change, but definitely worth knowing if you’ve been following an older guide that tells you to look somewhere else.
Shadow Island Ticket Changes
The way you obtain Shadow Island Tickets has also changed.
You now have two main ways to get them:
- Complete the Megumi Game Mode Raid
- Purchase them from the Siege Shop
This is actually a pretty useful change because you’re no longer locked into one method.
If you’re already farming the Megumi raid, you can earn tickets naturally through that. Alternatively, you can spend your Siege currency if you don’t want to rely entirely on the raid.
Leaderboards Moved to JJT Spawn
The leaderboards have been moved to the Jujutsu Tech spawn.
So if you’re looking for the leaderboard area after the update, check the JJT spawn rather than its previous location.
Technique Banner Odds Are Now Easier to Check
One of the nicer interface improvements is the addition of a question mark button on Technique Banners.
You can use it to check the banner’s odds before spending your rolls.
This is especially useful when you’re saving a large number of rolls and don’t want to guess what your chances are.
Clan Banner Odds Now Show Individual Chances
Clan Banners received a similar improvement.
You can now see the individual chance for each clan instead of having to rely on incomplete information.
It’s a small change, but it makes rolling feel a lot less like blindly throwing away your currency. Before using your Clan Rolls, you can actually check the odds and decide whether it’s worth rolling.
Accessory Crafting UI Reworked
The accessory crafting interface has received a fairly big overhaul.
The goal here is basically to make crafting less annoying.
You can now sort materials based on the recipe you’ve selected, which makes finding the required materials much easier.
The material selection menu has also been moved to the right side of the screen, meaning it doesn’t cover up the recipe anymore.
The recipe text itself has been repositioned, while the recipe selector is now scrollable. This should prevent recipes from overlapping and make the entire crafting menu easier to navigate.
There’s another useful change too: recipes that you currently don’t have enough materials to craft are now grayed out.
That means you can quickly tell which accessories you can actually make instead of clicking through every recipe just to discover you’re missing something.
Guide Book Page 9 Added
The Guide Book has also been expanded with a new Page 9.
This page comes with its own objectives and rewards, giving players more things to work toward.
The Guide Book itself has received some quality-of-life improvements as well.
When you open it now, the game will automatically take you to an incomplete page rather than opening on a page you’ve already finished.
You can also see the total number of Guide Book pages along with your current progress, making it easier to see how much you’ve got left.
Guide Book Rewards Increased
The rewards from the Guide Book have received a pretty significant boost.
Both the objective completion rewards and general Guide Book rewards have been increased by up to 150%.
So if you’ve been ignoring unfinished Guide Book objectives, this is actually a good time to go back and clean them up.
A new notification will also appear whenever you complete an objective, so you don’t have to keep checking the Guide Book manually to see whether you’ve finished something.
Raid Statistics Added
The raid interface now gives you a little more information about your progress.
You can see your:
- Total completed raids
- Fastest raid completion time
It’s a simple addition, but it’s nice for players who spend a lot of time farming raids. You can now keep track of how many runs you’ve completed and try to beat your personal best clear time.
Other UI and Quality-of-Life Changes
Several smaller interface changes were included as well.
Some stat displays have been adjusted to make the information easier to read.
The weapon skin button has been moved lower inside the inventory menu. This fixes an issue where the button could get cut off.
You can also now press N to open the menu more quickly.
These aren’t huge changes, but once you get used to them, they should make navigating the game a little smoother.
Jujutsu Zero Update Bug Fixes
The update also fixes several issues that players may have encountered.
The floating model inside Accessory Crafting has been fixed.
An issue with Projection Sorcery’s autotargeting has also been addressed.
Passives should no longer automatically equip themselves when you already have another passive equipped.
The Awakened Blood Manipulation M1 attacks have also been fixed so they shouldn’t override your normal attacks whenever the technique is equipped.
Another fix corrected the text for the Awakened Star Rage node, which incorrectly stated that Awakened Blood materials were required.
Finally, the 10 Shadow stamina wheel has been brightened to make it easier to see during gameplay.
New Jujutsu Zero Code: CALAMITY
And now for the part most players are probably looking for: the new code.
The update adds the code:
CALAMITY
Redeeming it gives you:
- 1,000 Cursed Crystals
- 10,000 Lumens
- 50 Clan Rolls
Make sure you enter the code exactly as shown. Codes can expire, so I wouldn’t recommend saving this one for later if you can redeem it now.
What Should You Focus on After the Update?
If you’re wondering what to actually do first, I’d start with the Curse Calamity Raid.
The raid is directly connected to the new refinement system, and its rewards aren’t limited to refinement materials either. You’re also able to pick up other valuable items and Limitless V2 materials while farming.
Once you’ve got the materials, take a look at your best accessories and decide which ones are actually worth refining. Since refinement has a chance of failing, I’d be careful about wasting materials on accessories you’re likely to replace soon.
After that, it’s worth checking the new Guide Book page and collecting the improved rewards, especially if you already had several unfinished objectives sitting there.
And, of course, redeem CALAMITY before the code disappears.
