The Terroscuttler Companion is one of the new rewards introduced with the Drylands update in Fisch. Unlike many companions, you can’t purchase this one with C$ or obtain it through fishing alone. Start the Drylands Questline
The first requirement is progressing through the Drylands questline.
If you’ve only recently arrived in the area, keep completing each quest in order. The Terroscuttler Companion isn’t available early on, so you’ll need to work your way through the story before the unlock requirements appear.
There’s no shortcut here—the companion is locked behind quest progression.
Reach the Photic Terror of the Saunder Quest
As you continue completing Drylands missions, you’ll eventually reach the quest involving the Photic Terror of the Saunder.
This is an important milestone because it’s where the companion’s unlock process begins.
If you haven’t reached this quest yet, simply continue following the Drylands storyline until it becomes available.
Use the Awakening Serum
During the Photic Terror hunt, you’ll need to use the Awakening Serum.
This item is required to continue progressing through the questline and is part of the companion’s unlock requirements.
Once you’ve completed this section, continue finishing the remaining Drylands quests until the storyline is complete.
Use the Sundial 14 Times
Even after completing the questline, there’s still one final objective before the companion is awarded.
You’ll need to interact with the Sundial a total of 14 times.
The full requirement is:
- 7 Day cycles
- 7 Night cycles
In other words, you’ll need to complete both halves of the day-and-night cycle instead of using the Sundial only once.
After finishing all 14 uses, you’ll satisfy the final unlock requirement.
Claim the Terroscuttler Companion
Once you’ve:
- Completed the Drylands questline,
- Finished the Photic Terror of the Saunder quest,
- Used the Awakening Serum,
- Completed the remaining quests, and
- Activated the Sundial 14 times,
the Terroscuttler Companion will automatically become available.
