The Summer Event in Universal Tower Defense X (UTDX) Update 4.0 looks intimidating at first, especially if you’re trying to clear it alone. The enemies have much more health than normal, the final boss comes with a massive shield, and the new card system adds another layer of strategy.

The good news is that you don’t need an extremely complicated setup to beat it. With the right team and upgrade order, you can consistently clear the event solo in just a few minutes.

Here’s the strategy that makes farming the Summer Event much easier.

Universal Tower Defense X Summer Event Guide – Best Team

This team has excellent damage, economy, and late-game scaling.

Recommended lineup:

  • Fast Cart (Farm)
  • Bulma (Farm)
  • Sukuna
  • Ace
  • Sabo

The two farm units provide the economy you need early on, while Sukuna handles the difficult enemies and Ace + Sabo provide powerful Synchro damage for the boss.

If you don’t have every unit, try replacing them with units that serve a similar role, but Sukuna is highly recommended because of how effective he is against the event boss.

How the Summer Event Works

Unlike regular stages, the Summer Event includes a Card System.

Throughout the match you’ll periodically receive cards that grant special bonuses.

You begin each run with 100 team points, and stronger units cost more points to include.

Choosing the right cards throughout the run can make the event significantly easier.

Best Cards to Pick

Some cards provide much more value than others.

Skip Boss

This is easily one of the strongest cards you can get.

Whenever it appears, it’s usually worth taking since it removes one of the more dangerous waves from the run.

Extra Yen

Any card that increases your Yen income is an excellent early-game choice.

More money means:

  • Faster farm upgrades
  • Earlier max-level units
  • Easier boss fight

Economy cards almost always pay for themselves.

Distortion

If you receive the Distortion card, give it to Sukuna.

It provides a significant boost and greatly increases his effectiveness during the later waves.

Enemy Summon Cards

Some cards transform defeated enemies into summons.

While these can help a little, they generally aren’t as impactful as economy or damage-focused cards.

If you have stronger options available, prioritize those instead.

Early Game Strategy

The beginning of the match is all about building your economy.

Start by placing:

  • Fast Cart
  • Bulma

Upgrade your farms as quickly as possible before investing heavily into damage dealers.

The earlier your farms reach maximum level, the easier the rest of the match becomes.

Upgrade Priority

After your economy is established, focus on this order:

  1. Max Fast Cart
  2. Max Bulma
  3. Place Sukuna
  4. Fully upgrade Sukuna
  5. Place Ace
  6. Place Sabo
  7. Upgrade both hill units
  8. Activate their Synchro

Following this order gives you enough damage to comfortably handle every wave.

Why Sukuna Is So Strong

Sukuna is arguably the MVP of this event.

There are two major reasons why.

Excellent Damage Over Time

Many enemies in the Summer Event have large health pools.

Sukuna’s damage-over-time effects continue damaging enemies even after the initial hit, allowing him to deal massive total damage.

Great Against Shields

The final boss gains an enormous shield after taking damage.

Since Sukuna deals continuous damage, he burns through shields much faster than many traditional DPS units.

This makes him one of the safest choices for solo runs.

Ace and Sabo Synchro

Ace and Sabo aren’t just strong individually—they become even better together.

Their Synchro provides additional fire damage that helps melt through enemies while also contributing extra damage-over-time effects.

Combined with Sukuna, they create one of the strongest boss-killing setups available for this event.

Enemy Mechanics

The Summer Event introduces several enemies with unique abilities.

For example:

  • Some enemies resist physical damage.
  • Others resist magical damage.
  • Some have damage-over-time resistance.
  • Sand Skeletons split into additional enemies after being defeated.

Fortunately, a strong team can handle these mechanics without requiring major strategy changes.

Final Boss Guide

The final boss is by far the hardest part of the event.

When damaged for the first time, the boss gains approximately:

  • 60 Shield
  • High Physical Resistance
  • High Magic Resistance

Because of these defenses, many teams struggle to finish the fight.

How to Beat the Boss Easily

Once the boss appears:

  • Make sure Sukuna is already fully upgraded.
  • Have Ace and Sabo Synchro active.
  • Activate Sukuna’s Domain when the boss reaches your main defense area.
  • Continue focusing all damage on the boss until the shield breaks.

After the shield disappears, the boss’s health drops much more quickly.

Best Placement Strategy

Instead of placing your units right at the entrance, consider placing them farther along the path.

This gives your farms more time to generate money before enemies reach your main damage dealers.

The extra economy can make a noticeable difference during the later waves.

Can You AFK Farm This Event?

Yes.

Once you’ve perfected your placement order, this event is actually very macro-friendly.

Since the strategy doesn’t require constant adjustments, many players use the in-game macro system to repeatedly farm rewards with the same setup.

If your units are strong enough, repeated clears become very consistent.

The Summer Event in UTDX Update 4.0 may seem difficult during your first few attempts, but it’s much more manageable once you understand the mechanics. A strong economy, a fully upgraded Sukuna, and the Ace + Sabo Synchro provide more than enough damage to comfortably clear the event solo.

If you’re planning to farm the Summer Event for exclusive rewards, focus on building a consistent strategy rather than chasing the fastest possible clear time. Reliable runs will earn you far more rewards over time, making it easier to collect Summer Capsules, event currency, and the limited units introduced in Update 4.0.
