The Racing Event launched in Steal An Egg with Update 8 on October 10, 2026. This week-long event offers exclusive pet rewards and a unique racing experience before the Halloween Dimension update takes over.

Playing the event feels exciting but tricky due to an invisible timer until five minutes before it starts, so missing races is easy. Winning every race is critical since only first place counts toward unlocking special racers, making the grind intense yet rewarding.

Before joining, head to the Abyss Ocean biome to spot the portal for the event and prepare to race every 30 minutes. Bringing pets with speed boosts helps, but remember the in-race mounts don’t affect speed.

The Racing Event works similarly to the previous Dr. Scramble event. You can participate in a race every 30 minutes and compete against other players in your server. However, unlike the Dr. Scramble or Rift events, the Egg Racing Event does not have a visible timer until five minutes before it begins. This makes it easy to miss, so keep an eye out for the event entrance.

The Racing Event is a server-based competition where players finish three-lap races riding one of six cosmetic Racers modeled after pets. These mounts don’t grant speed advantages, keeping the competition fair. Unlocking five of the racers depends on winning multiple races, encouraging players to consistently claim first place. Racer Wins Required Pet Rarity Ostrich Default Secret Seahorse 1 win Legendary Lizard 5 wins Mythic Bird 15 wins Cosmic Cheetah 21 wins Secret Citadel Snail 30 wins Eternal Note that finishing second or third doesn’t count toward unlocking these racers—only first place does.

The Racing Event is a server-based racing activity where you compete against other players to finish a three-lap race. You can ride one of six special Racers, each representing a different pet. However, these Racers are purely cosmetic Mounts and do not provide any speed boosts or other advantages during the race.

You can also equip the pets associated with these Racers in your Pen, where they function like regular pets. The five Racers other than the default Ostrich are each unlocked by winning a certain number of races. So you will need to keep finishing in first place to collect them all. Here are all six Racers and their unlock requirements:

Racer Wins Required Pet Rarity
Ostrich Default Secret
Seahorse 1 win Legendary
Lizard 5 wins Mythic
Bird 15 wins Cosmic
Cheetah 21 wins Secret
Citadel Snail 30 wins Eternal

Remember that only a first-place finish counts as a win. Finishing second or third will not contribute to your racer unlock progress, so you must secure the top position to unlock the next Racer.

The event rewards include prestigious pet eggs and trophies earned by hitting specific win milestones. Once you reach 35 wins, the reward track resets to let you earn them again. Pets from these eggs range from Legendary to Eternal rarity, with higher-tier pets like the Citadel Snail being particularly valuable for your collection. Wins Required Reward 1 Race Seahorse Egg and Seahorse Racer 3 475 Trophies 5 Race Lizard Egg and Lizard Racer 7 475 Trophies 10 625 Trophies 12 625 Trophies 15 Cosmic Race Bird Egg and Bird Racer 17 845 Trophies 19 845 Trophies 21 Race Cheetah Egg and Cheetah Racer 24 1,250 Trophies 27 1,250 Trophies 30 Citadel Snail Egg and Citadel Snail Racer 35 1,250 Trophies

Apart from the Racers, you can earn trophies and exclusive pet eggs by reaching specific win milestones. The reward track has a total of 35 wins, after which it resets. Here is a complete breakdown of the rewards you can earn:

Wins Required Reward
1 Race Seahorse Egg and Seahorse Racer
3 475 Trophies
5 Race Lizard Egg and Lizard Racer
7 475 Trophies
10 625 Trophies
12 625 Trophies
15 Cosmic Race Bird Egg and Bird Racer
17 845 Trophies
19 845 Trophies
21 Race Cheetah Egg and Cheetah Racer
24 1,250 Trophies
27 1,250 Trophies
30 Citadel Snail Egg and Citadel Snail Racer
35 1,250 Trophies

The eggs guarantee their respective pets, allowing you to collect the Seahorse, Lizard, Bird, Cheetah, and Citadel Snail for your base. The pets have different rarities, with the Citadel Snail being the highest-rarity option among these rewards at Eternal rarity. Since the reward track resets after 35 wins, you can continue participating in the event to work through it again.

The Racing Event shop lets you exchange earned trophies for a mix of useful boosters, mutation chances, and the event-exclusive Racing Bat weapon. Even finishing outside first place grants trophies, so you can gradually save to snag your desired gear or upgrades. Item Cost Effect or Duration Nitro Mutation 475 Trophies 10% chance to apply Nitro mutation to pets 2x Cash Booster 275 Trophies Doubles cash earned for 10 minutes 1.25x Speed Booster 375 Trophies Increases speed by 1.25x for 5 minutes 2x Treadmill Booster 375 Trophies Doubles treadmill training benefits for 10 minutes Racing Bat 10,000 Trophies Exclusive event weapon 2x Trophies 299 Robux Doubles trophies earned Focus on saving for the Racing Bat if you want the rarest exclusive item, but boosters offer valuable boosts if you want to speed up progress.

Steal An Egg also features a dedicated racing shop where you can spend the trophies earned from participating in races. Note that you receive trophies even if you do not finish first, so you can gradually save up for the items you want.

The shop contains several useful boosters, a mutation item, and an exclusive weapon. The Racing Bat is the most expensive exclusive item, costing 10,000 trophies. Here are all the available items and their prices:

Item Cost Effect or Duration
Nitro Mutation 475 Trophies 10% chance of applying the Nitro mutation to your pets
2x Cash Booster 275 Trophies Doubles cash for 10 minutes
1.25x Speed Booster 375 Trophies Increases speed by 1.25x for 5 minutes

Racing Bat 10,000 Trophies Exclusive event item
2x Trophies 299 Robux Doubles the trophies you earn

If you are mainly interested in collecting event-exclusive items, start saving for the Racing Bat. However, the boosters can also help you progress faster by improving your cash earnings, speed, or treadmill training.

Getting started is easy once you know where to find the event portal. The racing area is usually in the Abyss Ocean biome, so check there often. The event activates every 30 minutes, but only pops a visible timer five minutes beforehand. After entering, you’ll wait about 40–50 seconds for others to join before the race kicks off. Keep your eyes open for environmental hazards like spikes, slippery eggs, and bombs that can trip up racers — use them wisely to slow opponents or avoid falling behind yourself. Complete all three laps as fast as possible to finish first and secure wins toward unlocking all racers and rewards. After each race, trophies are distributed based on placement and can be spent in the event shop.

Participating in the Racing Event is relatively simple once you know where to find it. Follow these steps to enter a race and start earning rewards:

1. Find the Event Entrance

The Egg Racing Event usually appears in the Abyss Ocean biome. Head there and look for the portal that takes you to the racing area. Since the event occurs every 30 minutes and its timer only appears five minutes before it starts, check the biome regularly if you do not want to miss a race.

2. Enter the Race

Once you enter the racing area, you will have approximately 40 to 50 seconds to wait for other players to join. This gives people in your server time to enter before the race begins. When the waiting period ends, the race starts. You will compete against other players from your server, so your opponents will depend on who joins the event.

3. Complete All Three Laps

Each race consists of three laps. Your goal is to complete them before your opponents and finish in first place. You can use one of the available racers, but remember that these are cosmetic options. They do not provide extra speed or special racing abilities, so choosing a particular racer will not give you an advantage.

4. Watch Out for Obstacles

Although the race itself is straightforward, the track offers several elements to all players that can affect a player’s progress. These include spikes, eggs that make opponents slip, and bombs that can stun other Racers.

You can use these obstacles strategically to slow down opponents when you are trying to catch up. However, you should also watch out for them when you are leading, as getting caught by an obstacle could give other racers an opportunity to overtake you.

5. Collect Your Rewards

After the race ends, you will receive trophies based on your participation, regardless of whether you finish first, second, third, or lower. However, only first-place finishes count toward the event’s win milestones. If you want to unlock the exclusive racers and collect all the milestone rewards, you will need to win the required number of races.

You can then spend your accumulated trophies in the racing shop to purchase boosters, the Nitro Mutation, and the exclusive Racing Bat.

The Racing Event runs for one week from October 10, 2026, ahead of the Halloween Dimension update. Races occur every 30 minutes, but the countdown only appears shortly before the start, so regularly check the Abyss Ocean biome for the race portal. Trophies are given regardless of finishing position, but only first place counts as a win toward unlocking racers and claiming milestones. The six available racers include the default Ostrich and five others unlocked through wins. The Racing Bat is the priciest shop item at 10,000 trophies, perfect for collectors or competitive players aiming to complete the event rewards.
