The Phantom Express serves as a unique activity from the Halloween Dimension update of Steal An Egg. Players can explore a dedicated event space where they can capture spirits, gather Souls, and trade them for Spectral Mutation shards. Before accessing this feature, completing Echo’s questline and acquiring a Phantom Express Ticket is essential.
Here’s how to unlock the Phantom Express, along with ways to maximize your rewards.
How to unlock the Phantom Express in Steal An Egg
To start your journey on the Phantom Express, finish Echo’s questline located in the Corrupted Realm. The initial step involves locating four items that hold significance to Echo’s memories.
| Lost Item | Location |
|---|---|
| Old Collar | Beyond the Phantom Express station, just past the railway tracks near a tree. |
| Chewed Bone | On the right side of the area in front of the Phantom Express station when coming from spawn. |
| Favorite Toy | Next to the pumpkin-shaped house close to Echo’s spawn and near three mausoleums. |
| Old Photograph | Hidden behind a pile of rocks near the fence at the far end of the map, adjacent to the manor. |
Once all four items are collected, return to Echo and continue his questline until reaching the Ghost Fisherman.
The Ghost Fisherman will provide you with a special fishing rod and introduce a mini-game. You’ll need to quickly click to reel in your catch. If you hook a large fish, you’ll face an additional challenge where you must steer left or right to avoid sea mines. You retain three lives during this segment. Successfully completing this challenge rewards you with the Phantom Express Ticket.
When does the Phantom Express spawn?
The Phantom Express arrives at its station every 30 minutes. You can find the station on the right side of the Corrupted Realm map. After obtaining your ticket, wait for the train, which is consumed on your initial boarding. For any subsequent rides, no additional ticket is required.
How to play the Phantom Express event
Upon boarding the train, players access a distinct event area. Here, you’ll utilize a vacuum-like tool to capture spirits and accrue Souls. Each spirit collected offers varying Soul amounts. Capture enough Spirits until you reach the total needed to trade for a Spectral Mutation shard.
After gathering a total of 1,000 Souls, navigate to the Soul Shrine located to the right of the station in the Phantom Express area. Exchange your Souls for a Spectral Mutation Shard. After that, head back to your regular base or pen and apply it to an egg. Each shard carries a 25% chance of applying the Spectral Mutation, meaning the outcome isn’t guaranteed.
