Breaking down Mothman in Grow a Garden
How to get
Mothman is obtainable from Haunted Chests, which have a drop rate of 0.5%. These chests can be earned through the Headless Horseman rewards system. After collecting the Headless Horseman’s head, he will appear on the map, sprinkling blue wisps throughout your garden.
Gather 50 blue wisps to receive rewards, which can include one or more Haunted Chests. Below are the drop chances for Haunted Chests from this system.
| Tier | Items |
|---|---|
| 1x Haunted Chest | 18% drop rate |
| 2x Haunted Chests | 11% drop rate |
| 3x Haunted Chests | 3.5% drop rate |
Overall, the chance of receiving at least one Haunted Chest from the Headless Horseman is 32.5%. You can access the rewards system every 30 minutes during the event, so take advantage of this timing.
What it does
Mothman possesses a powerful ability that activates every 36 minutes and 40 seconds. It will fly to three random fruits in your garden, copying up to three Mutations from one and transferring them to another.
There’s a 10% chance that instead of transferring a Mutation, it will be copied. When this occurs, one of your pets will gain 2,000 XP, boosting your farm’s value significantly.
Mothman shines in late-game scenarios when you aim to optimize the sale value of specific fruits. While luck plays a role, you can improve your odds by controlling the total number of plants and utilizing other pets that apply Mutations.
