Idle games are all about making smart upgrades, and Idle Balls is no different. At first, it seems simple—you buy a few balls, watch them bounce around, and earn money. But once more mechanics unlock, you’ll realise there’s a lot more strategy involved than simply clicking the cheapest upgrade.

The biggest mistake new players make is spending money randomly. If you focus on the right upgrades in the right order, you’ll unlock Prestiges much faster and your income will start snowballing.

Whether you’ve just started playing or you’re trying to speed up your progress, here’s everything you need to know.

Idle Balls Beginner Guide Wiki – Best Upgrades, Money Farming

Before buying any upgrades, redeem the active codes for some free rewards.

Current working codes include:

  • VARIETY
  • SHISHI
  • UPDATE1
  • KITSUNEBALL
  • ADMINABUSE
  • CATBALL
  • DRAGONBALL
  • FIXES

Codes are especially helpful for beginners since they provide free rewards that can speed up your early progression.

How Idle Balls Works

The gameplay loop is straightforward.

Your balls bounce around inside spinning rings.

Whenever a ball escapes through a ring’s opening, you earn money.

As you earn more cash, you’ll unlock additional upgrades that let you:

  • Spawn more balls.
  • Add more rings.
  • Increase ring speed.
  • Improve multipliers.
  • Prestige for permanent bonuses.

Every upgrade works together, so your income grows faster and faster over time.

How Money Is Earned

Each ring has a gap that your balls must pass through.

Every successful escape rewards money.

The deeper the ball travels, the higher the payout.

For example:

  • Ring 1 gives a small reward.
  • Ring 2 pays even more.
  • Ring 3 increases your earnings again.

Adding more rings means every successful escape becomes much more valuable.

Buy More Balls First

Your first priority should almost always be increasing the number of balls.

More balls mean:

  • More movement.
  • More escapes.
  • More money every second.

Although each new ball costs more than the previous one, the increase in income usually makes the investment worthwhile.

A busy board filled with balls will always outperform one relying on only a few.

Expand Your Rings

Once you’ve bought a decent number of balls, start investing in additional rings.

More rings increase the number of scoring opportunities before each ball escapes.

This significantly boosts your earnings without requiring extra effort.

A good strategy is to alternate between buying balls and adding new rings instead of focusing entirely on one upgrade.

Upgrade Ring Spin

Ring Spin increases how quickly the rings rotate.

Faster spinning rings create more opportunities for balls to find the opening and escape.

Once you’ve unlocked several rings, Ring Spin becomes one of the most valuable upgrades available because it improves the efficiency of every ball on your board.

Prestige Early and Often

Many beginners delay Prestiging because they don’t want to lose their progress.

In reality, Prestiging is one of the fastest ways to grow stronger.

When you Prestige:

  • Your current progress resets.
  • You earn permanent bonuses.
  • Future runs become much faster.

Every Prestige makes rebuilding easier than before, allowing you to reach higher income levels much quicker.

If you’ve reached the Prestige requirement, it’s usually worth resetting instead of continuing to grind.

Best Early Upgrade Order

If you’re unsure what to buy first, this progression works well:

  1. Buy several balls.
  2. Unlock additional rings.
  3. Upgrade Ring Spin.
  4. Buy more balls.
  5. Prestige once available.
  6. Repeat the process.

Following this order creates steady growth instead of wasting money on upgrades with smaller returns.

Widen the Ring Gap Later

Eventually you’ll unlock the ability to widen the escape gap.

A larger opening allows balls to escape more frequently, increasing your earnings.

However, this isn’t something you need immediately.

It’s generally better to focus on:

  • More balls
  • More rings
  • Faster Ring Spin

before investing heavily into widening the gaps.

Once your production is strong, the wider openings become much more valuable.

Don’t Ignore Ring Spikes

Ring Spikes are another upgrade worth unlocking.

Balls that collect spike bonuses receive additional rewards, increasing the value of each run around the board.

Although they aren’t your highest priority early on, they’re definitely worth investing in once your basic economy is established.

Rare Balls Are Worth Chasing

Every new ball has a chance to become a special version.

These include rare variants like:

  • Golden Balls
  • Rainbow Balls

Rare balls provide much higher multipliers than standard ones, giving your economy a noticeable boost.

You won’t get them every time, but they’re always a welcome bonus whenever they appear.

Collect Offline Rewards

One of the best features in Idle Balls is offline progression.

Even while you’re away from the game, your balls continue earning money.

Always remember to claim your offline rewards whenever you return.

It only takes a few seconds and often provides enough money for several upgrades immediately.

Spend Your Nebula Points

Prestiging also rewards Nebula Points.

These can be spent in the Nebula Shop to unlock permanent improvements.

It’s easy to forget about this menu, but doing so slows your progression significantly.

Every time you Prestige, check the Nebula Shop before continuing your next run.

Play Nebula Mini-Games

Idle Balls includes several mini-games that reward additional Nebula currency.

One of the more useful options is Sky Crasher, which lets you earn extra Nebula Points simply by playing.

If you’ve already finished your main upgrades for the moment, spending a little time in these mini-games is a great way to earn extra progression resources.

Upgrade the Rebirth Tree

Every Prestige also contributes towards your upgrade tree.

These upgrades provide permanent bonuses that improve future runs.

Depending on your progression, they can increase things like:

  • Coin generation
  • Overall efficiency
  • Long-term production

Many players Prestige and immediately jump back into the main game without spending their upgrade points.

Don’t make that mistake.

Permanent upgrades have a much bigger impact than most temporary ones.

Idle Balls is one of those games where progress starts slowly but quickly accelerates once you understand the upgrade system. Rather than buying every upgrade as soon as you can afford it, focus on the ones that directly increase your production—more balls, more rings, and regular Prestiges.

Don’t overlook the long-term systems either. Nebula Points, the upgrade tree, and offline rewards all contribute to your overall progress and become increasingly important as you push towards higher levels.

With a solid upgrade strategy and regular Prestiges, you’ll be climbing the leaderboards and earning massive amounts of cash much faster than players who simply upgrade at random.
