If you’re leveling in Slayers 2, setting your spawn point can save you a lot of time. Instead of respawning all the way back at the starting area after dying, you can bind your respawn location to a nearby area.
The important thing is that you don’t set your checkpoint through the map. You need to find a glowing pink crystal in the world and interact with it.

How to Set a Spawn Point or Checkpoint in Slayers 2
The world map is useful for navigation, but it doesn’t have an option for changing your respawn location.
You may see different map settings for things such as:
- Bosses
- Areas
- Shrines
- Shrine Names
- Shrine Icons
- Quests
However, there is no button that lets you set a checkpoint directly from the map.
Instead, use the map to help locate the pink crystal for the area where you want your new spawn point.
Find a Glowing Pink Crystal
Spawn points are represented by tall, glowing pink crystals found around different areas.
If you’re still in the starting region, you can find the first one beside the Torii gate at Windy Peak.
The crystal can be easier to locate if you enable shrine icons on your map or minimap.
The pink crystal also acts as the shrine and spawn location for that area.
How to Set Your Spawn Point
Once you’ve found the crystal, setting your checkpoint is very simple.
Walk Up to the Crystal
Get close to the glowing pink crystal.
When you’re close enough, an interaction prompt should appear on your screen.
For example, at Windy Peak, you should see something similar to:

[T] Set Spawn
This means you’re standing in the correct position.
Hold T
Don’t just tap the T key.
You need to press and hold T for a moment.
If you release the key too early, the interaction will cancel and your spawn point won’t change.
Stay next to the crystal and hold T until the activation finishes.
Wait for the Confirmation
Once the interaction registers, the crystal will activate and the screen will briefly flash.
This indicates that your spawn point has been updated.
Your character will now respawn at that area when you die, until you activate another spawn crystal somewhere else.
How to Know Your Spawn Was Saved
Slayers 2 gives you an on-screen confirmation when the spawn point has successfully changed.
You should see a message at the top of the screen indicating that your spawn is set to the selected area.
For Windy Peak, it can appear as:
Spawn is already set to [Windy Peak]
If you don’t receive the confirmation, you probably didn’t hold T long enough.
Simply remain next to the crystal and try holding T again.

What to Do If You Can’t See the Crystal
The pink crystal can be surprisingly difficult to spot at night because the surrounding area becomes dark.
If you’re struggling to find it, there is a simple solution.
Open the menu, go to the Servers tab, and join another server.
The time of day can differ between servers, so you may find one where it’s daytime or closer to sunrise.
Once the area is brighter, the pink glow from the crystal is much easier to see.
Where Should You Set Your Spawn While Leveling?
The best rule is simple:
Set your spawn at the crystal closest to whatever you’re currently farming.
You don’t need to keep your spawn at Windy Peak once you move into a new region.
Set It Near Your Grinding Area
If you’re farming enemies or completing quests in a particular region, find the closest spawn crystal and activate it.
That way, if you die, you can immediately return to the area instead of running across the entire map.
Use a Bamboo Grove Crystal
When you’re leveling around the areas near a Bamboo Grove, setting your spawn at the nearest crystal can save a considerable amount of travel time.
This is especially useful when you’re repeatedly fighting enemies or bosses.
Change It When Your Quest Moves
Don’t forget to update your spawn point when you move to a new region.
If your current quest takes you far away from your previous checkpoint, look for the nearest crystal and activate it.
This becomes increasingly useful as you progress through the game.
Spawn Points Are Especially Useful for Boss Farming
Boss farming involves repeating the same fight multiple times, which means you’ll probably die occasionally while learning the boss or attempting a difficult fight.
If your spawn is nearby, dying doesn’t completely reset your run.
Instead, you can respawn close to the area and get back into the fight much faster.
This makes setting a nearby checkpoint one of the simplest ways to reduce unnecessary travel while leveling.
Spawn Points and Shrines
The same locations are also connected to the game’s shrine and fast-travel system.
Once you’ve unlocked shrines using your in-game money, they can serve as useful fast-travel destinations.
Because of that, a shrine you’ve already unlocked near your current farming location can also be a convenient place to anchor your spawn.
Setting a spawn point in Slayers 2 is much easier than it might initially seem.
You don’t need to open a special menu or search through the map for a checkpoint button. Simply find the glowing pink crystal, walk up to it, and hold T until the activation completes.
