If you’re trying to craft Yokozuna in Iron Soul Dungeon, there’s one thing you’ll want to know before you start throwing your best Ore into the forge: the craft is RNG-based.

That means even if you fill every available slot, you’re not guaranteed to get Yokozuna. And if you’re specifically chasing the Mythical version, blindly using your rarest materials on every attempt can get expensive very quickly.

Here’s how the Yokozuna recipe works, how to unlock it, and a much better way to save your Mythical Ore while still giving yourself a shot at the Mythical result.

How to Unlock the Yokozuna Recipe

Before you can craft Yokozuna, you first need to unlock its recipe.

The recipe comes from the Wheel of Glory, which is connected to the Glory Core system.

This part is completely RNG-based, so don’t be surprised if Yokozuna doesn’t show up immediately. You may need to spin the Wheel of Glory several times before you finally unlock the recipe.

Once the Yokozuna recipe is unlocked, head over to the Forge and look through the available crafting options.

You should then be able to select Yokozuna and start preparing your materials.

How to Craft Yokozuna

Yokozuna allows you to use up to 16 Ore in the Forge.

If you fill all 16 slots, you get roughly a 74% crafting chance.

But there’s an important catch here: 74% does not mean guaranteed.

You can still fail the craft even when every slot is filled.

So, if you’ve been saving up a pile of Mythical Ore and were planning to throw 16 of them into the Forge because you assumed it would definitely work, I’d think twice before doing that.

Best Ore Setup for Mythical Yokozuna

This is where you can save yourself a lot of materials.

If your main goal is getting a Mythical Yokozuna, you don’t necessarily need to use 16 Mythical Ore on every attempt.

A much more sensible setup is:

  • 9 Mythical Ore
  • 7 Legendary Ore

This keeps Mythical as the dominant rarity while allowing you to use significantly less of your most valuable material.

You’re still aiming for the Mythical result, but a failed craft won’t hurt nearly as much as losing 16 Mythical Ore in one attempt.

For me, this is the setup that makes the most sense if you’re planning to make multiple attempts rather than gambling your entire Mythical stockpile on one craft.

Can You Use Lower-Rarity Ore?

Yes, you can mix in lower-rarity Ore if you’re running short on Legendary materials.

You can use things like Epic, Rare, or other lower-rarity Ore in the remaining slots.

However, there’s one rule you should keep in mind:

Keep Mythical Ore as the dominant rarity if Mythical Yokozuna is your goal.

In other words, don’t throw a couple of Mythical Ore into a Forge filled mostly with lower-rarity materials and expect the same result.

If you’re specifically targeting the Mythical version, build your crafting setup around Mythical Ore first and use lower rarities to fill the remaining slots when necessary.

Does Ore Level Increase Yokozuna Damage?

This is another detail that can save you some valuable materials.

The level of your Ore does not directly increase Yokozuna’s base damage.

So there’s no real reason to burn your absolute highest-level Ore simply because you think it will make the resulting Yokozuna stronger.

For this particular craft, rarity matters more than simply using your highest-level Ore.

That means you can be a little more selective with your materials instead of throwing your best Ore into every attempt.

Can You Craft Hell Yokozuna?

No.

If you were thinking about using Hell Ore because you wanted to create a Hell version of Yokozuna, don’t waste those materials.

The Yokozuna recipe does not support a Hell version.

So keep your Hell Ore for recipes where it can actually be used rather than putting it into a Yokozuna attempt and hoping for a special result that the recipe doesn’t provide.

How to Save Mythical Ore While Crafting Yokozuna

The biggest problem with Yokozuna is the RNG.

Even with the maximum 16-Ore setup and around a 74% crafting chance, there’s still a chance that the Forge says no.

That’s why I’d recommend building up a decent Ore stockpile before you start making repeated attempts.

If you only have enough Mythical Ore for one craft, throwing everything into a single attempt can be pretty painful if you fail.

Instead, the 9 Mythical + 7 Legendary setup gives you a much better balance between chasing the Mythical result and protecting your Mythical supply.

You still have Mythical as the majority rarity, but your failed attempts aren’t eating through 16 Mythical Ore at a time.
