The new Reaper race is one of the hardest secret race evolutions added to Sailor Piece so far. It looks amazing, has strong abilities, and a lot of players are already trying to unlock it. The problem is that the game barely explains how the evolution works, which is why many players waste hours farming without making proper progress.
If you want to evolve your Wraith race into Reaper as quickly as possible, this guide explains every step in simple English so you know exactly what to do.
How to Get Reaper Race Fast in Sailor Piece
Before doing anything else, make sure you actually have the Wraith race equipped.
This is extremely important because none of the quest progress counts unless you are actively using Wraith. A lot of players accidentally switch races midway through grinding and later realize their progress never counted.
So before starting any trial:
- equip Wraith race
- double-check your race before farming
- do not reroll your race during the questline
Once you are ready, head to Slayer Island where the Reaper evolution NPC is located.
Reaper Soul Trial 1: Defeat 1,500 NPCs
The first Soul Trial is simple but very grindy.
You need to defeat:
1,500 NPCs while using Wraith race
There are no special mechanics here. It is purely a farming challenge.
Best Tips for This Trial
- Farm weaker NPCs with fast respawns
- Use high AoE skills for faster clears
- Grind in areas where enemies are grouped together
- Use damage buffs or relics to speed things up
Since the requirement is huge, efficiency matters more than fighting strong enemies.
Fast kills are always better.
Reaper Soul Trial 2: Collect the Three Special Souls
This is where the evolution becomes more difficult because the drops depend heavily on luck.
You must collect three special souls from bosses.
Warrior Soul
Dropped from:
- Spirit Warrior
Ancient Soul
Dropped from:
- Cosmic Being
- Sun Incarnate
Time Soul
Dropped from:
- World Boss
These drops are RNG-based, meaning you may get lucky quickly or spend a long time farming.
Use Luck Boosts Whenever Possible
This step becomes much easier if you use:
- 2x Luck boosts
- luck relics
- drop-rate boosts
- party farming bonuses
Without boosts, the grind can become extremely slow.
If you have limited boosts available, save them specifically for the soul farming section instead of wasting them elsewhere.
Reaper Soul Trial 3: Defeat 10 Krakens
The third Soul Trial requires you to kill:
10 Krakens while using Wraith race
This step is more time-consuming than difficult.
The main challenge is usually:
- waiting for Kraken spawns
- finding active sea events
- competing with other players
Tips for Faster Kraken Farming
- Server hop often
- Farm with friends or guild members
- Use fast boats for quicker travel
- Stay in active servers with frequent sea activity
Group farming helps a lot here since Kraken hunting alone can feel slow.
Reaper Soul Trial 4: Complete 10 Raids Without Dying
This is easily the hardest part of the entire evolution.
You must:
Complete 10 raids as Wraith without dying
If you die during a run, that attempt will not count properly.
This means your build matters a lot here.
Best Strategy for Raid Clears
If your damage is low or your survivability is weak, this section becomes frustrating very quickly.
To make things easier:
- use tankier builds
- bring healing items
- play with reliable teammates
- avoid reckless rushing
- focus on survival over damage
Bad teammates can absolutely ruin runs here, so try to queue with people you trust instead of random players whenever possible.
How to Unlock Reaper
Once all four Soul Trials are complete, return to the NPC on Slayer Island while still using Wraith race.
After talking to the NPC again, your race will finally evolve into:
Reaper
The nice part is that once you unlock Reaper, you permanently keep access to it.
You Do NOT Need to Redo the Questline
Just like Archangel, if you lose Reaper later by changing races, you can simply:
- equip Wraith again
- return to the NPC
- reclaim Reaper immediately
You do not need to redo all four Soul Trials again, which is a huge relief considering how long the grind takes.
Fastest Overall Method to Get Reaper
If your goal is unlocking Reaper as fast as possible, this is the best order:
- Equip Wraith race first
- Grind 1,500 NPCs efficiently
- Save luck boosts for soul drops
- Farm bosses during active server events
- Hunt Krakens with a group
- Run raids only with strong teammates
- Prioritize survival during raid clears
Following this order makes the evolution much smoother and prevents wasted grinding time.
The Reaper evolution in Sailor Piece is definitely one of the longer grinds in the game right now, but it is also one of the coolest secret races added in the update.
The biggest mistake players make is not realizing that every step requires Wraith race equipped. As long as you remember that and farm efficiently, the evolution becomes much more manageable.
The hardest part is definitely the raid section, so preparing a strong build and reliable team beforehand will save you a lot of frustration later on.
