If you’ve been focusing entirely on clearing stages, sooner or later you’ll unlock PvP in Digimon UP. While it isn’t required to progress through the main story, it’s one of the best ways to earn exclusive currencies, premium resources, and valuable upgrade materials every week.
The game currently offers two PvP modes, each with its own ranking system, rewards, and shop. Here’s everything you need to know before jumping into competitive battles.
Digimon UP PvP Guide – Battle Terminal, D-1 Grand Prix
PvP becomes available once you challenge Stage 30.
Unlocking Stage 30 gives you access to the Battle Terminal, which is the game’s first competitive mode.
The second PvP mode, D-1 Grand Prix, unlocks after you’ve participated in at least one full Battle Terminal season.
PvP Rewards
PvP isn’t just about climbing the rankings. Every battle contributes toward rewards that help strengthen your account.
Depending on the mode you’re playing, you can earn:
- BT Medals
- D-1 Grand Prix Medals
- DigiEmeralds
- Acceleration Tickets
- Buddy Souls
- DigiPlates
- Encrypted Data
- Great Digimeat Seeds
- Stamina
- Cosmetic Frames
- Chat Dialogue Boxes
The higher you finish each season, the better your rewards become.
Battle Terminal
The Battle Terminal is the first PvP mode you’ll unlock and the one you’ll likely spend the most time playing early on.
Here, you battle other players from your own server while competing for Battle Terminal Points.
Every victory increases your ranking, while defeats reduce your points. At the end of each season, rewards are distributed based on your final placement.
How Battle Terminal Works
Each battle costs one Battle Terminal Pass.
These passes regenerate automatically at a rate of one per hour whenever you have fewer than five.
Since recovery stops once you reach the maximum, it’s a good idea to spend your passes regularly instead of letting them sit at the cap.
Battle Terminal Rewards
Battle Terminal offers three types of rewards.
Battle Rewards
Every victory grants BT Medals, which are used in the Battle Terminal Shop.
Daily Ranking Rewards
Each day, your current ranking determines additional rewards that can include:
- BT Medals
- DigiEmeralds
- Acceleration Tickets
Season Rewards
At the end of every weekly season, players receive even larger rewards based on their final ranking, including:
- BT Medals
- DigiEmeralds
- Acceleration Tickets
- Buddy Souls
- Encrypted Data
- Exclusive Frames
The better your ranking, the more valuable the rewards become.
D-1 Grand Prix
The D-1 Grand Prix is a more competitive PvP mode designed for players who have already participated in Battle Terminal.
Unlike Battle Terminal, you’ll fight opponents from all servers, making the competition significantly tougher.
Instead of stealing points from other players, you’ll climb the D-1 rankings by winning battles throughout the season.
How D-1 Grand Prix Works
Just like Battle Terminal, every battle consumes one pass.
D-1 Grand Prix Passes also regenerate automatically at one pass per hour until reaching the five-pass limit.
Winning battles increases your ranking, allowing you to move into higher competitive tiers before the weekly reset.
D-1 Grand Prix Rewards
Participating in D-1 Grand Prix rewards players with:
- D-1 Grand Prix Medals
- DigiEmeralds
- Stamina
- DigiPlates
- Great Digimeat Seeds
- Exclusive Dialogue Boxes
- Cosmetic Frames
Many of these rewards are difficult to obtain elsewhere, making D-1 Grand Prix worthwhile even if you’re not chasing the highest rankings.
Weekly PvP Seasons
Both PvP modes operate on weekly seasons.
Each season runs from:
Sunday 3:00 PM to the following Sunday 2:50 PM (Server Time).
When the season ends, rankings are finalized and rewards are sent through the in-game mailbox.
Don’t forget to claim them before they expire.
PvP Pass Recovery
Both Battle Terminal and D-1 Grand Prix use separate battle passes.
Important things to remember:
- One pass regenerates every hour.
- Recovery only happens while you have fewer than five passes.
- Staying at the maximum pass limit wastes regeneration time.
Even if you only have a few minutes to play, spending your available passes each day is usually worth it.
PvP Shops
Each PvP mode includes its own dedicated shop.
Battle Terminal Shop
Uses BT Medals earned through Battle Terminal battles and rankings.
D-1 Grand Prix Shop
Uses D-1 Grand Prix Medals earned from Grand Prix participation.
These shops offer valuable progression materials, making PvP currencies useful even if you aren’t aiming for top leaderboard positions.
Tips for New PvP Players
If you’re just unlocking PvP, keep these tips in mind:
- Spend your passes before they reach the maximum limit.
- Collect daily ranking rewards from your mailbox.
- Participate every season, even if you don’t expect a high ranking.
- Visit the PvP Shops regularly to spend your earned medals.
- Continue upgrading your Partner, Support Digimon, Skill Cards, and Hologram Device to improve your chances of winning.
Small improvements to your account can make a noticeable difference in PvP performance over time.
PvP in Digimon UP is much more than a competitive side activity. Between the Battle Terminal and D-1 Grand Prix, players can earn a wide variety of valuable resources that aren’t easily available elsewhere. Whether you’re aiming for the top of the leaderboard or simply using your daily passes, participating consistently is well worth the effort.
For most players, the best approach is simple: use your PvP passes every day, claim ranking rewards before they expire, and spend your medals wisely in the dedicated PvP shops. Over time, these extra rewards will significantly strengthen your account and help you progress through the game’s tougher content.
