Once you reach the middle of the early game in Digimon UP, you’ll unlock a feature called the Meat Field. At first, it might look like a simple farming system, but it’s actually one of the easiest ways to permanently increase your team’s power.
By planting seeds and harvesting Digimeat, you’ll gain resources that improve your Partner Digimon’s stats through the Meal system. The more efficiently you manage your Meat Field, the faster your account grows over time.
Here’s everything you need to know about unlocking, upgrading, and making the most of the Meat Field.
How to Unlock the Meat Field
The Meat Field becomes available after you challenge Stage 40.
Most players can reach this point within their first day of playing, so you won’t have to wait long before unlocking it.
Once it’s available, try to start using it immediately. Since Digimeat is produced over time, every hour you leave the Meat Field idle is essentially free progression you’re missing.
What Is the Meat Field?
The Meat Field is where you grow Digimeat, a special resource used in the Meal feature.
The basic progression looks like this:
- Plant Digimeat Seeds.
- Harvest Digimeat after it finishes growing.
- Use Digimeat in Meals.
- Receive permanent stat increases for your Partner.
Because these stat bonuses apply continuously, the Meat Field becomes one of the best long-term progression systems in the game.
How to Plant Digimeat
Getting started is very simple.
Plant one of your available Digimeat Seeds into an empty field and cultivation will begin automatically.
Each planted seed randomly assigns one of three Harvest Digimon:
- Tanemon
- Palmon
- Auraumon
The assigned Digimon determines how efficiently your crop grows and how much Digimeat you’ll receive after harvesting.
Types of Digimeat Seeds
There are three different seed types available.
Digimeat Seed
This is the standard seed you’ll use most often.
It randomly assigns Tanemon, Palmon, or Auraumon to grow your crop.
If your supply falls below the maximum limit, the game automatically restores one seed every hour.
Good Digimeat Seed
Good Digimeat Seeds provide a much higher chance of receiving Palmon or Auraumon, making them more reliable for larger harvests.
They’re worth saving for times when you want better overall efficiency.
Great Digimeat Seed
These are the highest-quality seeds.
Every Great Digimeat Seed guarantees Auraumon as the Harvest Digimon, making them the most efficient option for producing Digimeat.
Since they’re relatively rare, it’s usually best to use them strategically rather than immediately.
Get More Seeds for Free
Running out of seeds doesn’t necessarily mean you need to buy more.
The game lets you watch advertisements twice per day to receive additional Digimeat Seeds for free.
Always claim these free seeds before spending DigiEmeralds or DigiDiamonds in the shop.
Speed Up Growth With Watering Cans
If you don’t want to wait for crops to finish growing naturally, Watering Cans let you reduce cultivation time instantly.
They’re one of the most useful items available for the Meat Field.
Tiny Watering Can
Tiny Watering Cans reduce the remaining cultivation time by 30 minutes.
The game automatically restores one every hour whenever your supply falls below twenty, making them surprisingly valuable over the long term.
Huge Watering Can
Huge Watering Cans remove 60 minutes from the remaining growth timer.
Since these are harder to obtain, they’re best saved for crops with long remaining timers.
Don’t Waste Your Watering Cans
One small trick that saves a lot of resources is using Watering Cans only when they remove most of the remaining timer.
For example:
If your crop has 1 hour and 10 minutes left, using two Tiny Watering Cans removes one full hour, leaving only ten minutes to wait naturally.
Using a Huge Watering Can in that situation wastes part of its effect.
Little optimizations like this add up surprisingly quickly over time.
Harvest as Soon as Crops Finish
Once cultivation is complete, harvest your Digimeat immediately and plant another seed.
The biggest mistake many players make is leaving fully grown crops sitting in the field for hours.
Every minute an empty field remains unused is potential Digimeat you’re missing out on.
Keeping all fields active at all times is the easiest way to maximize production.
How to Increase Meat Field Level
Your Meat Field levels up naturally by harvesting Digimeat.
The more you harvest, the higher your Meat Field level becomes.
There’s no shortcut here—consistent farming is the key.
Challenge Carrots
Every time your Meat Field gains a level, you’ll receive Challenge Carrots.
The number earned equals:
Current Meat Field Level + 2
These carrots are required for upgrading your Farm Digimon, making them an important reward as your farm expands.
Unlock More Farming Plots
One of the biggest rewards for leveling your Meat Field is unlocking additional fields.
Eventually you can operate up to six fields simultaneously, greatly increasing the amount of Digimeat you produce.
Additional plots unlock at:
- Available immediately
- Level 5
- Level 10
- Level 18
- Level 27
- Level 37
Reaching these milestones significantly improves your farming efficiency.
Farm Digimon Explained
At the top of the Meat Field you’ll find three Farm Digimon that improve different parts of your farming operation.
They can all be upgraded using Challenge Carrots.
Togemon
Togemon improves both:
- Harvest Amount
- Growth Speed
Since it boosts two important aspects of farming simultaneously, it’s generally considered the strongest Farm Digimon to upgrade first.
Lillymon
Lillymon focuses on:
- Digimeat Harvest Bonus
- Seed Supply
If you’re looking to maximize the amount of Digimeat earned from each harvest, Lillymon is an excellent second investment.
Vegiemon
Vegiemon improves:
- Seed Supply
- Growth Speed
It’s especially useful if you’re constantly running out of seeds during long farming sessions.
Which Farm Digimon Should You Upgrade First?
For most players, the best order is:
- Togemon
- Lillymon
- Vegiemon
Togemon simply provides the biggest overall improvement by increasing both harvest size and production speed.
Speed Up Farm Digimon Upgrades
Farm Digimon upgrades require waiting before they finish.
Fortunately, you don’t always have to wait.
You can reduce upgrade timers by:
- Watching advertisements (up to five times daily)
- Using Acceleration Tickets
- Requesting Help from your Camp
Remember that upgrades aren’t completed automatically—you’ll still need to manually press the Level Up button once the timer expires.
Meat Field Shop Guide
The Meat Field includes its own dedicated shop where you can purchase Seeds and Watering Cans.
Not every item offers the same value, though.
Highest Priority
Tiny Watering Can
These are easily the best purchase because they dramatically improve farming efficiency and are constantly useful.
Good Purchase
Huge Watering Can
Worth buying if you’re trying to finish long cultivation timers more quickly, although not as essential as Tiny Watering Cans.
Lowest Priority
- Digimeat Seeds
- Good Digimeat Seeds
- Great Digimeat Seeds
Since seeds can be obtained from several free sources—including advertisements—their overall purchase priority is fairly low.
Only consider buying them if you’ve completely run out and can’t wait for natural regeneration.
The Meat Field may seem like a side activity when you first unlock it, but it becomes an important source of permanent stat progression in Digimon UP. By keeping every field occupied, harvesting crops as soon as they’re ready, and upgrading Farm Digimon wisely, you’ll steadily build a large supply of Digimeat that translates directly into stronger Partners.
For most players, the best strategy is simple: keep your fields active around the clock, prioritize Togemon upgrades, and spend your resources on Tiny Watering Cans before anything else. Over time, these small improvements add up and make a noticeable difference in both your farming efficiency and overall combat power.
