Mutations in Deep Fishing serve as valuable enhancements that can apply to any fish type. Each mutation boosts the sale price and earning potential, often altering the fish’s appearance; for example, a creature with the Gold mutation sports a striking golden hue while a Toxic mutation results in a radioactive green appearance.

Presently, there are nine unique mutations available in Deep Fishing. This tier list helps players gauge the value of these mutations, allowing for strategic decisions on which ones to pursue for the optimal profit from captured fish.

Before diving into the details, players should focus on securing access to weather events and acquiring Mutation Rerolls, essential for optimizing their fish’s mutation traits.

As of the Halloween update, there are nine mutations in Deep Fishing. This updated tier list ranks all mutations based on their value multipliers, so that you can prioritize getting the best ones on your captured aquatics.

Mutations can significantly enhance the selling price and earnings rate of fish placed in the Pond. Two mutations, Gold and Diamond, are available on any fish in the ocean through the game’s RNG, while the remaining mutations are tied to specific weather events that occur on each server.

Here are the mutations tied to weather events:

  • Cosmic: Cosmic weather event
  • Cursed: Cursed weather event
  • Electro: Thunder weather event
  • Frozen: Blizzard weather event
  • Lava: Volcano weather event
  • Toxic: Toxic weather event
  • Wet: Rain weather event

Players can also change a fish’s mutation by consulting the Mutation Dealer. To do this, equip a fish, interact with the Mutation Dealer on the starter island, and utilize Mutation Rerolls.

Mutation Rerolls can be obtained through fishing, while Ultra Rerolls, which improve the chances of obtaining better mutations, can be bought using Robux.
