The new Mongol Update is finally here in Command an Army, and Update 3 brings a lot of new content to the game. In this post, we will go through everything you need to know about the update, including the new Mongol Battle Pass, seven new units, the first five-star unit, new evolutions, the Skill Tree, Auto Delete, and the new AFK Server.
If you are just getting started with the update, there are quite a few things to check out, and it can be difficult to know what you should focus on first. I’ll break everything down so you can easily understand what was added and how I recommend approaching the new content.
We have new units to collect, older units that can now be evolved, and several new features that can make grinding much easier. So, let’s go through the entire Mongol Update and see what you should be working toward first.
Mongol Battle Pass
The first major addition in the update is the new Mongol Battle Pass.
The Battle Pass adds three new units for us to work toward:
- Nokor – 3-Star unit
- Batar – 3-Star unit
- Korchin – 4-Star mounted unit
If you are going through the Battle Pass, these are the three main Mongol units you will be working toward.
Korchin is especially interesting because it is a mounted 4-Star unit, while Nokor and Batar are both 3-Star units. So, make sure you check the Battle Pass rewards and see what you need to unlock each unit.
New Units
Outside of the Battle Pass, the update also adds two major new units.
Mermadon
The first one is Mermadon, which is shown as a 4-Star unit.
From its appearance, Mermadon looks like a heavily armored frontline-type unit. If you are collecting all of the new units, this is another one you will want to add to your collection during Update 3.
Lragonian
The biggest addition in the update is Lragonian, which is the first five-star unit in Command an Army.
This is obviously one of the main units you will want to chase in the new update. Since it is the first 5-Star unit added to the game, I would personally keep Lragonian high on your priority list while you are grinding the new content.
If you are wondering which new unit deserves your attention first, Lragonian is definitely one you should keep in mind simply because of its five-star rarity and importance in this update.
New Evolutions
Update 3 also adds two new evolution paths, so make sure you check your existing inventory before ignoring your older units.
Mace → Morning Star
The first evolution is:
Mace → Morning Star
Morning Star is shown as a 5-Star evolution.
So, if you already have Mace, don’t just leave it sitting in your inventory. You can now use it as part of this new evolution path and turn it into the new Morning Star unit.
Pikeman → Fangite
The second evolution is:
Pikeman → Fangite
Fangite is shown as a 3-Star evolution.
This means Pikeman has also become more useful with the release of Update 3. If you already have one, I recommend checking what you need for its evolution instead of immediately getting rid of it.
One thing I like about updates like this is that older units can suddenly become useful again when the developers add new evolution paths. So, before you start clearing out your inventory, check whether any of your older units have a new purpose.
New Skill Tree
The Skill Tree is probably one of the biggest system changes added in Update 3.
Instead of only collecting and upgrading units, we now have another progression system to work through.
If you are starting the Mongol Update from the beginning, I would check the Skill Tree fairly early. Depending on the bonuses and upgrades available to you, progressing through it can give you additional benefits while you continue playing.
So, don’t completely ignore this system while focusing on the new units. Take some time to understand the Skill Tree and see which upgrades you can work toward.
Auto Delete
Another useful addition is the new Auto Delete feature.
If you spend a lot of time grinding units, you probably know how quickly your inventory can fill up with units you don’t actually want.
With Auto Delete, you can set the system to automatically deal with unwanted units while you continue farming.
This should make grinding much cleaner because you won’t have to stop every few minutes just to manually clear out units you don’t need.
If you’re planning to do a lot of farming during the Mongol Update, I recommend setting up Auto Delete early and adjusting it according to the units you want to keep.
AFK Server
We also have a new AFK Server in Update 3.
This is useful if you like leaving the game running while you are doing something else. Instead of actively playing the entire time, you can use the AFK Server for passive progression.
I would recommend checking exactly what rewards and progression are available through the AFK Server. Once you know what you can earn there, you can use it whenever you’re away from the game or don’t want to actively grind.
All Seven New Units
When we put everything together, Update 3 adds seven new units.
The new units are:
- Lragonian
- Mermadon
- Korchin
- Morning Star
- Nokor
- Batar
- Fangite
These are spread across different parts of the update.
You have Battle Pass units, standalone new units, and units that are obtained through evolution. Because of this, you won’t be able to get everything from one single system.
You will need to work through different parts of Update 3 if you want to collect everything.
What You Should Do First
If I was starting the Mongol Update right now, this is the route I would personally follow.
1. Check the Skill Tree
First, open the new systems and check out the Skill Tree.
Understand what upgrades are available and start working toward the ones that can help your overall progression.
2. Start the Mongol Battle Pass
After that, take a look at the Mongol Battle Pass.
Check what you need to unlock Nokor, Batar, and Korchin, then start making progress toward those rewards.
3. Check Your Mace and Pikeman
Before you start getting rid of older units, check your inventory for Mace and Pikeman.
These now have new evolution paths:
- Mace → Morning Star
- Pikeman → Fangite
If you already own either unit, you may already be part of the way toward unlocking one of the new units.
4. Work Toward Mermadon and Lragonian
Once you’ve handled the early progression systems, start working toward Mermadon and especially Lragonian.
Lragonian is the first five-star unit in Command an Army, so it is one of the biggest additions in Update 3 and should be a major target while you grind.
5. Turn On Auto Delete
While you are farming, make sure you set up Auto Delete for units you don’t want.
This will save you a lot of time and keep your inventory much easier to manage.
6. Use the AFK Server
Finally, whenever you are not actively playing, make use of the AFK Server.
If you are going to be away from the game for a while, there is no reason to leave that progression opportunity unused.
The Mongol Update is a pretty big update for Command an Army. We have a new Mongol Battle Pass, seven new units, the first five-star unit, two new evolution paths, a Skill Tree, Auto Delete, and an AFK Server.
For me, the main things I would focus on first are the Skill Tree, the Mongol Battle Pass, and working toward Lragonian. At the same time, don’t forget to check your inventory for Mace and Pikeman because both now have new evolution paths.
Once you have those systems set up, you can simply keep grinding, use Auto Delete to clean up unwanted units, and take advantage of the AFK Server whenever you’re not actively playing.
That should give you a solid starting point for the new Mongol Update and help you work through the new content without wasting too much time.
