Chaos Piece is one of those Roblox anime RPGs that can feel overwhelming the moment you load in. Unlike many anime games that focus on only one series, Chaos Piece combines powers, abilities, characters, and mechanics from multiple anime universes into a single experience. Because of that, there are dozens of systems thrown at new players almost immediately.
When I first started, the biggest mistake I made was spending resources on random rerolls without understanding how important those resources become later. Gems, titles, traits, abilities, storage systems, dungeons, Haki, fishing, rank progression, and crafting all become important eventually, so understanding the basics early will save you a lot of grinding later. This guide is based on information from a beginner walkthrough and covers the most important systems every new player should know.
Chaos Piece Beginner Guide – Trello & Wiki Link
The first thing you’ll notice after entering Chaos Piece is the massive number of systems available right away. The game includes races, titles, abilities, traits, accessories, fishing, dungeons, trading, enchantments, Haki progression, rank progression, storage systems, and much more. It can feel confusing at first, but most of these systems become easier once you understand their purpose.
As a beginner, your primary focus should be:
- Completing quests
- Defeating enemies
- Leveling up
- Saving gems
- Learning the island progression
Everything else can come later.
Gems Are Extremely Important
One of the most valuable currencies in Chaos Piece is Gems.
Many beginners immediately spend their gems rolling races, abilities, titles, and other systems. While rerolls are tempting, gems become increasingly important later because many important locations and features require gems to unlock.
The guide specifically recommends avoiding unnecessary spending early on and saving your gems whenever possible. Having a large gem reserve makes progression much smoother later in the game.
Race System
Every player starts with a race, and races provide different bonuses.
To reroll your race, you must spend gems and use a race heart item. Races come in multiple rarities ranging from common all the way to mythical.
You can check your current race by opening the Status menu and viewing your profile. The example shown in the guide received the Fishman race, which is considered a rare race.
While races are important, they should not be your first priority when starting out. Leveling and progressing through islands will have a much larger impact on your overall power.
Titles
Titles are one of the most useful passive progression systems in Chaos Piece.
Each title provides various bonuses that can improve:
- Experience gain
- Money gain
- Gem gain
- Damage
- Other progression stats
A simple rare title can already provide useful bonuses, while higher-tier titles become extremely powerful later in the game.
One example shown in the guide is the King of Curses title, which provides significant boosts to XP, money, and gems, making progression much faster.
The nice thing about titles is that once you obtain them, they remain stored permanently in your inventory.
Abilities
Abilities are the core of your combat power.
Many abilities are inspired by popular anime powers and Devil Fruits.
Some examples include:
- Yami Yami no Mi
- Pika Pika no Mi
- Mera Mera no Mi
- Goro Goro no Mi
- Heavenly Restriction
- Mob
- Frieren
- Saiyan
- Shadow Monarch
- Honored One
Each ability comes with multiple skills and attacks that unlock as you progress.
The guide mentions that even some lower-tier abilities can be surprisingly effective for farming if used properly. Damage isn’t everything. Good area attacks and easy farming potential can often be more valuable while leveling.
Weapons
Unlike some anime games, Chaos Piece allows your weapon and ability to work together.
Even if you have a powerful ability equipped, your basic M1 attacks can still come from your equipped weapon.
This creates a hybrid combat system where players can combine swords and abilities rather than being forced to choose one or the other.
Because of this, upgrading your weapon remains important throughout the game.
Traits
Traits provide passive buffs that improve your character.
Traits come in different rarities:
- Common
- Uncommon
- Rare
- Epic
- Legendary
- Mythic
- Exotic
Each trait grants different bonuses. One example shown in the guide increased damage by 15%.
A good trait can dramatically improve your performance, especially once you begin fighting stronger bosses and entering higher-level areas.
Inventory Management
One of the best quality-of-life features in Chaos Piece is that important progression items are permanently stored in your inventory.
If you die, you do not lose things such as:
- Traits
- Titles
- Stored abilities
- Important progression items
As your collection grows, you’ll eventually need to delete unwanted items to free up inventory space, so inventory management becomes important later in the game.
Accessories
Enemies can drop accessories while you progress.
Accessories provide additional bonuses and are another major source of character strength.
Different accessories provide different effects, making them worth farming from specific enemies and bosses.
Always check newly obtained accessories before selling or discarding them. Some rare drops can significantly improve your build.
Specs
Specs function like additional abilities that provide unique effects and bonuses.
Examples shown in the guide include:
- Black Flash
- Flash Step
- Kaioken
- Geppo
Some Specs provide mobility, while others focus on combat enhancements.
The guide notes that certain mobility-based Specs feel much better on PC than mobile due to control limitations.
Fishing
Fishing is another important side activity that many new players ignore.
By using your fishing rod, you can collect various items and resources that help progression.
Fishing may seem slow initially, but it becomes a useful source of materials and rewards over time.
Island Progression
Chaos Piece contains a large number of islands.
Each island serves a purpose beyond simply leveling.
Some islands contain:
- Dungeon portals
- Important NPCs
- Haki trainers
- Rank-up NPCs
- Storage NPCs
- Upgrade NPCs
- Special bosses
Learning what each island offers will save an enormous amount of travel time later.
Dungeons
The Forest Island contains one of the first dungeon portals players encounter.
Dungeon portals have ranks such as:
- F Rank
- E Rank
- S Rank
- SS Rank
Each dungeon drops unique rewards, including rare equipment and progression materials.
To enter dungeons, you’ll need dungeon tickets or keys. These can often be obtained through crafting systems or purchases from special NPCs.
Dungeons become one of the best ways to acquire powerful gear later in the game.
Black Market
The Black Market is one of the most important locations for progression.
This location sells various useful items, including materials related to dungeons and Haki progression.
Many players spend a lot of time visiting the Black Market because of how valuable its inventory can be.
Haki
Haki is a major power system that every player should unlock as soon as possible.
To obtain Haki, travel to Rock Island and locate the Haki trainer.
Purchasing Haki requires money rather than difficult boss drops, making it accessible fairly early.
Once unlocked, Haki can be upgraded using Haki Books.
Every Haki Book increases your Haki level, making the system stronger over time. The guide demonstrates raising Haki to Level 2 using a Haki Book obtained earlier.
If you’re unsure what to prioritize after leveling, unlocking Haki should be near the top of your list.
Fishing Rod Upgrades
The Desert Island contains an NPC dedicated to upgrading fishing rods.
Stronger fishing rods allow more efficient fishing and better rewards.
Players interested in gathering resources through fishing should visit this NPC whenever upgrades become available.
Rank Progression
One of the most important long-term systems in Chaos Piece is Rank Progression.
The Rank-Up NPC can be found in Skypiea.
Ranking up functions similarly to a rebirth system.
When you rank up:
- Your level resets
- You begin progression again
- You keep important items and powers
- You gain access to stronger progression
The process requires a large amount of money and gems, making it something players typically focus on after reaching higher levels.
Think of rank progression as a long-term goal rather than something to worry about early.
Storage Systems
As you acquire rare races and abilities, storage becomes extremely valuable.
Marineford contains Race Storage.
This allows players to save valuable races before attempting rerolls. If you obtain a rare race, storing it first is usually a smart decision.
Another location contains Fruit Storage, allowing players to save abilities before experimenting with new ones. This prevents losing powerful abilities when testing different builds.
Mythic Titles
One of the more advanced systems involves Mythic Titles.
The guide explains that Mythic Titles can be crafted using two different Legendary Titles along with a large amount of gems and gold.
While this isn’t something beginners need immediately, it becomes a valuable goal for endgame progression because Mythic Titles provide some of the strongest bonuses in the game.
Legendary Fragments and Dungeon Tickets
Advanced players can convert certain legendary abilities into Legendary Fragments.
These fragments are used in crafting systems and can help create valuable dungeon tickets for higher-ranked dungeons.
Because dungeon rewards become increasingly powerful at higher ranks, this system eventually becomes an important part of endgame progression.
