The latest update in Blue Lock Rivals does not just tweak a character. It completely reshapes how one of the stealthiest playstyles functions. Otoya is no longer just a niche pick for movement-focused players. With this rework, he feels like a calculated disruptor who thrives in chaos, slipping through defenses before anyone realizes what just happened.

There is also a surprising amount of extra content packed alongside him. New MVP systems, cosmetics, bundles, and even hints toward the next major drop are all part of this update. If you are jumping in, there is a lot to unpack.

Blue Lock Rivals Otoya Rework Update – Codes, Patch logs

Otoya now leans fully into a ninja-style identity. The kit is built around movement, positioning, and quick decision-making rather than raw power.

This is not a striker you force plays with. This is a striker you outplay opponents with.

The rework rewards:

  • Off-ball awareness
  • Timing runs correctly
  • Catching defenders off guard

If you are used to direct, aggressive playstyles, this will feel different immediately.

Otoya Base Moves Explained

Stealthy Steps (C – Off-Ball)

This is the core of Otoya’s identity now.

It allows you to reposition quietly and slip into open space without drawing attention. Used correctly, it sets up everything else in your kit.

The key here is patience. Triggering it too early wastes the advantage.

Dynamo (V – On-Ball)

This is your forward-driving tool.

Dynamo helps you push through defensive pressure and create openings, but it is not meant to bulldoze through players. Think of it as controlled momentum rather than brute force.

Use it when defenders hesitate, not when they are fully set.

Sneaky Volley (V – Secondary Move)

This is where Otoya starts feeling dangerous.

Sneaky Volley capitalizes on positioning. If you are already in the right place, this move converts chances quickly without giving defenders time to react.

It rewards anticipation more than reaction.

Otoya Awakening Moves

Shinobi Air Shot (C – Loose Ball)

This move turns chaotic situations into scoring opportunities.

Whenever the ball is loose, this gives you a fast, unexpected finishing option. It is especially strong in crowded plays where opponents are not focused on you.

Shinobi Strike (B – On-Ball)

This is your clean finisher.

Compared to the base kit, Shinobi Strike feels more decisive. It is built for those moments where you have already beaten your defender and just need to close the play.

New MVP Packs

One of the more underrated additions in this update is the MVP system overhaul.

You can now:

  • Choose which MVP cutscene to use
  • Customize your post-match highlight

This adds a layer of personalization that was missing before. It is not gameplay-changing, but it makes progression feel more rewarding.

New MVP Cutscenes

Two new options have been added:

  • U-20 Rin
  • U-20 Nagi

Both are clearly inspired by Blue Lock and lean heavily into that high-intensity, dramatic finish style the series is known for.

If you like flashy finishes, these are worth picking up.

Limited Shop Items

The update also introduces a themed shop around Otoya:

  • Otoya Player Card
  • Ninja Pose Emote
  • Shuriken Aura
  • Shuriken Goal Effect

This is mostly cosmetic, but it fits perfectly with the rework’s ninja theme. If you are committing to the character, the visuals complete the experience.

Bundles

  • Otoya Bundle

Bundles are the fastest way to get everything tied to the update in one go. Not required, but definitely convenient if you want the full set without grinding individual items.

New Codes

Make sure you redeem these:

  • OTOYAUPD – 5 LS and LF
  • NINJASPINS – 5 LS
  • CHIGIRISOON – 5 LF

These are quick boosts and worth claiming immediately before they expire.

This update is more than just a character rework. It adds personality, flexibility, and a different pace to matches.

Otoya is not about dominating the field.
He is about disappearing from it… and showing up exactly where it matters.
