If you’ve been running Gauntlet lately, you’ve probably noticed more players talking about TBoi (Rebirth). At first glance, it looks like another expensive late-game damage dealer, but after seeing how it performs in an actual Gauntlet run, there’s a lot more going on here than just raw DPS.

The biggest surprise is that TBoi (Rebirth) isn’t just a damage unit. It combines strong damage output, massive range, a powerful nuke ability, and even base healing. That combination alone makes it one of the more interesting units to consider for Gauntlet teams.

Let’s break down exactly why players are starting to rate it so highly.

TBoi (Rebirth) Starts Strong From the Beginning

One thing that immediately stands out is how cheap the initial placement cost is.

Unlike many endgame units that require a huge investment before becoming useful, TBoi (Rebirth) gets on the field quickly and starts contributing almost immediately. This makes the early upgrades feel smooth and affordable.

For players who struggle with setting up their economy and damage dealers at the same time, this is a huge advantage.

You aren’t forced to wait forever before the unit becomes relevant.

The Mid-Game Investment Gets Expensive

The early upgrades may feel comfortable, but eventually you’ll hit the point where the costs start climbing.

This is where some players hesitate.

If your team composition already includes multiple expensive supports, farms, or utility units, reaching the higher upgrades can feel difficult. In some runs you may wonder whether the resources would be better spent elsewhere.

However, the important thing is that Gauntlet provides enough income that reaching TBoi’s final form is actually realistic.

And that’s where the unit really starts showing its value.

The Final Upgrade Changes Everything

According to the gameplay test, TBoi (Rebirth) becomes significantly stronger once fully upgraded.

The damage jumps dramatically, turning it into what many players call a “beatstick” unit—a tower whose primary job is simply deleting enemies through sheer damage output.

What makes this especially impressive is that Gauntlet gives players enough resources to consistently reach this final upgrade.

That’s a huge deal.

A lot of powerful units look amazing on paper but never reach their maximum potential during real matches. TBoi doesn’t have that problem.

If you can fully upgrade it, you’re getting access to its entire kit instead of only part of it.

Massive Range Makes Positioning Easy

One of the most underrated strengths of TBoi (Rebirth) is its enormous range.

The showcased range of over 230 is absurdly large for a damage-focused unit.

In practical terms, this means:

  • Better map coverage
  • More attack uptime
  • Less repositioning stress
  • Greater overall damage throughout a run

Large-range units tend to age well in Gauntlet because they can contribute for longer periods without needing perfect placement.

TBoi fits that category perfectly.

The Nuke Ability Adds Extra Value

Raw DPS is great, but TBoi doesn’t stop there.

The unit also comes with a powerful nuke ability.

Having access to burst damage can be incredibly useful when dangerous waves start piling up or when bosses begin pushing toward your base.

Instead of relying solely on constant DPS, TBoi gives you another tool for emergency situations.

That extra flexibility is one reason many players are choosing it over traditional damage dealers.

The Base Healing Is Surprisingly Powerful

Here’s the feature that really separates TBoi (Rebirth) from most Gauntlet units.

The unit can heal your base.

And not by a small amount.

The showcased healing was around 250 billion HP, which is enough to absorb mistakes that would normally end a run.

In Gauntlet, survival often matters just as much as damage. Having a unit that can both eliminate enemies and restore your base health creates incredible value.

Think about it this way:

Most units help prevent damage.

TBoi can actually undo damage that already happened.

That’s a rare advantage.

AOE Damage Makes It Even Better

Another point worth mentioning is the AOE capability.

Single-target damage dealers often struggle when large groups of enemies start appearing.

TBoi avoids that problem by offering area damage while maintaining excellent DPS.

This means the unit remains useful against:

  • Large enemy waves
  • Mixed enemy groups
  • High-health targets
  • Extended Gauntlet rounds

Few units can comfortably handle all of those situations at once.

Should You Bring TBoi (Rebirth) Into Gauntlet?

In my opinion, yes.

After looking at everything the unit offers, it’s hard to find many reasons not to bring it if you own it.

You’re getting:

  • Strong DPS
  • Huge range
  • Affordable early upgrades
  • Powerful late-game scaling
  • AOE attacks
  • Nuke ability
  • Massive base healing

Usually units excel in one or two of these areas.

TBoi manages to contribute in nearly all of them.

TBoi (Rebirth) is one of the most complete Gauntlet units currently available in All Star Tower Defense.

The early game feels manageable, the late-game damage is excellent, the range is outstanding, and the healing utility gives your team an extra layer of safety that many damage dealers simply can’t provide.

If your goal is surviving deeper Gauntlet runs while maintaining high damage output, TBoi (Rebirth) absolutely deserves a spot on your team.

Rating for Gauntlet: 9.5/10

The combination of DPS, utility, survivability, and range makes TBoi (Rebirth) one of the safest and strongest picks for serious Gauntlet players.
