Version 6.61.1 introduces one of the biggest Hardcore Mode updates for A Dusty Trip, adding dangerous Mini Boss Mutants, two challenging new road events, better rewards, increased loot spawn rates, and several gameplay improvements. If you enjoy Hardcore Mode, this update makes every run more rewarding while also significantly increasing the challenge.

Hardcore Mode Improvements

Hardcore Mode receives several major upgrades that make encounters much more dynamic.

The biggest addition is the introduction of Mini Bosses, which are upgraded mutant enemies that can randomly appear during your journey.

Generally, the higher the star rating, the more difficult the encounter becomes.

All 12 Mini Boss Modifiers

Each Mini Boss can receive one or more modifiers that change its abilities.

Hasty

Increases movement speed, allowing the mutant to close the distance much faster than usual.

Nuclear

Creates dangerous radioactive effects, making the fight significantly more hazardous.

Thief

May steal valuable supplies or resources, forcing players to recover lost items during combat.

Vampiric

Recovers health while attacking players, making prolonged fights much harder.

Frostbound

Applies freezing effects that can slow movement and reduce mobility.

Explosive

Explodes upon death or during combat, dealing heavy area damage if you’re standing too close.

Regenerator

Continuously restores health over time, requiring sustained damage to defeat.

Magnetic

Pulls nearby objects or players toward itself, making positioning much more difficult.

Toxic

Leaves poisonous effects that continue damaging players after being hit.

Armored

Receives reduced damage from incoming attacks thanks to increased defense.

Enraged

Deals higher damage and becomes much more aggressive than standard mutants.

Phantom

Harder to track and significantly more unpredictable during combat.

Mini Boss Rewards

Taking down a Mini Boss is well worth the effort.

Rewards include a large number of essential survival items, making these encounters one of the best sources of valuable resources.

Higher-star Mini Bosses drop noticeably larger quantities of loot, making them excellent farming targets for experienced players.

New Road Prefabs

Drawbridge

The Drawbridge is a lengthy bridge filled with obstacles that require careful driving.

Tips

• Reduce your speed before entering.
• Avoid overcorrecting your steering.
• Watch for obstacles that can flip your vehicle.
• Larger vehicles should approach slowly to prevent losing control.

Successfully crossing the Drawbridge without damaging your vehicle can save valuable repair resources later in your run.

Sink Hole

The Sink Hole is a massive crater that blocks the road.

Instead of simply driving straight through, players must carefully navigate around or across the damaged terrain.

• Slow down before reaching the crater.

Hardcore Reward Changes

Several rewards have been increased to encourage Hardcore Mode progression.

Fort Ironpass Rewards

Completing Fort Ironpass in Hardcore Mode now awards:

• 30 Shards

This provides a much better incentive to finish one of Hardcore Mode’s most difficult objectives.

Loot Spawn Improvements

Several valuable resources now appear more frequently throughout the world.

Food Spoils More Slowly

Food now lasts longer before spoiling, giving players additional time to use or store supplies during long expeditions.

Increased Rare Item Spawn Rate

Rare items now have a higher chance of appearing, making exploration considerably more rewarding.

More Bottle Caps

Bottle Caps now spawn more often, helping players collect currency faster throughout a run.

Vehicle Buff

Monsoon Buff

The Monsoon vehicle has received performance improvements.

Although the developers haven’t listed every adjustment, the vehicle should now perform better than before, making it a more attractive choice for Hardcore runs.

Gameplay Improvements

Several quality-of-life improvements have also been added.

Mirror Charm Rendering

Mirror Charms now flicker much less while driving, making visuals more stable.

Mutant Improvements
