Dandy’s World features a Halloween event where players must find seven Lockbox Pieces scattered across different areas. These pieces are hidden behind small puzzles or require specific interactions beyond mere exploration, demanding attention and problem-solving skills.

The quest captures the thrill of discovery but can trip players up due to its spread over several maps and the need for precise actions. Many waste time wandering without clues, so knowing exactly where and how to find each piece saves effort.

Before starting, ensure access to all Halloween maps and the Roleplay mode, and be ready to interact with various objects like posters, pumpkins, televisions, and typewriters. Having the code for the typewriter and knowing which role to select will also keep progress smooth.

Completing all seven objectives rewards you with the Locked Away Badge. Some pieces are easy to spot, while others require specific maps, codes, or even a particular roleplay character. Here is where to find every Lockbox Piece in the Gourdy Halloween Quest.

How to Get All 7 Lockbox Pieces in Dandy’s World

The seven Lockbox Pieces are distributed between the main lobby, the original (OG) Halloween Special map, the new Halloween Special map, and the OG Roleplay Mode. Each involves a distinct challenge, including fixing posters, lighting pumpkins, activating a TV, entering a code on a typewriter, finding torn photographs, and engaging with a unique plush toy.

The order of objectives to complete is:

  1. Posters
  2. Pumpkin Lighting
  3. Turn On the Television
  4. Typewriter Code
  5. Torn Picture 1
  6. Torn Picture 2
  7. Gourdy Plush

Here is the order of the seven objectives:

  • Key 1 — Posters
  • Key 2 — Pumpkin Lighting
  • Key 3 — Turn On the Television
  • Key 4 — Typewriter Code
  • Key 5 — Torn Picture 1
  • Key 6 — Torn Picture 2
  • Key 7 — Gourdy Plush

The first objective involves two posters in the main lobby that are tilted incorrectly. These are pink and yellow posters titled "Queens of Parties! Canceled." Most posters are straight, except for these two, which you must locate and adjust. The first tilted poster is near the elevator at the back of the main lobby. From spawn, proceed down the hallway and check the left wall by the elevator. Interact to straighten it. The second is inside the room opposite the Halloween Shop, a space filled with computers and crates. Find and fix the tilted poster on the wall inside.

For the first Lockbox Piece, you need to find two posters in the main lobby that are positioned incorrectly. Look for the pink and yellow “Queens of Parties! Canceled.” posters. Most of the posters are already straight, but two have been tilted.

The first tilted poster is near the elevator at the back of the main lobby. From your spawn point, walk straight down the hallway and check the left wall near the elevator. Interact with the poster to straighten it.

For the second poster, enter the room across from the Halloween Shop. This area contains computers and crates. Check the walls inside this room to find another tilted poster. Interact with it to fix its position and complete the objective.

The second challenge requires lighting six pumpkins across the Halloween zones by interacting with each one. Two pumpkins are in the main lobby: one under the large central tree at the back and another near the elevator atop a bigger pumpkin. On the OG Halloween Special map, find two pumpkins on a grass patch opposite a grey "Do Not Open" door sealed with yellow tape, and another pumpkin resting on a crate near the typewriter in the library. On the new Halloween Special map, locate one jack-o’-lantern beside a witch’s cauldron near a small ramp, and finally one on the left side of the concert stage bookshelf.

The second Lockbox Piece requires you to light six pumpkins scattered across the Halloween areas. You need to interact with each pumpkin to activate it.

The first two are located in the main lobby. One pumpkin is underneath the large central tree near the back of the lobby. The second is closer to the elevator, sitting on top of a larger pumpkin.

For the third pumpkin, enter the OG Halloween Special Map. Head toward the back-right section until you find a grey door marked “Do Not Open” with yellow tape across it. Look directly across from this area to find two pumpkins on a grass patch. Interact with one of them.

The fourth pumpkin is also on the OG Halloween Special Map. Find the library on the left side of the area and walk toward the back. You will find a pumpkin sitting on a crate near the typewriter area.

The fifth pumpkin is located on the new Halloween Special map. Head toward the center of the map and look for a witch’s cauldron. A Jack-o’-lantern can be found beside it, near a small ramp leading toward another section.

For the sixth and final pumpkin, head to the new Halloween map’s concert stage. Look to the left of the stage for a bookshelf filled with books. The pumpkin is sitting on top of the shelf.

To find the third piece, return to the OG Halloween Special map and ascend to Floor 5. Outside the library, you’ll spot a television on a crate. Interact to turn it on and acquire this Lockbox Piece. This is simpler than many other steps but requires being on the correct map and floor; the TV won’t appear in the main lobby.

For the third piece, you need to return to the OG Halloween Special map and reach Floor 5. Once there, head toward the library area.

Outside the library, you will find a television sitting on top of a crate. Interact with the TV to turn it on and trigger the next Lockbox Piece.

This objective is relatively simple compared with some of the other Gourdy puzzles, but make sure you are on the correct Halloween map and floor. The television will not be in the main lobby.

Still on Floor 5 of the OG Halloween Special map, enter the library and proceed to the back. On the left is a pumpkin, and on the right, you’ll find a typewriter on a table. Interact with the typewriter and input the code 79-52-29 exactly as shown. Correct entry grants the fourth Lockbox Piece. Mistakes won’t register for completion.

The fourth piece also requires the OG Halloween Special map on Floor 5. After finding the television, enter the nearby library and walk all the way toward the back.

Look for the pumpkin on the left side and a small area on the right. Head into the right section to find a typewriter placed on a table with a chair.

Interact with the typewriter and enter the following code:

79-52-29

After entering the correct sequence, the game will give you another Lockbox Piece. Make sure you use the numbers in the correct order because entering the wrong code will not complete the objective.

The fifth piece is part of a torn photograph located within the OG Halloween Map. Spawn on this map, move toward the left to find a locker-filled room. Look for an opening in the wall here and enter through it to reach the Gourdy Bedroom. Inside, inspect the bed to discover the first torn picture and interact with it to collect the piece.

The fifth Lockbox Piece involves finding the first part of a Torn Photograph on the OG Halloween Map.

After spawning into the map, travel toward the left side until you reach a room filled with lockers. Look around this area for a hole in the wall.

Go through the opening to reach the Gourdy Bedroom. Inside the bedroom, check the bed to find the Torn Picture. Interact with it to collect the fifth piece for the Halloween quest.

The sixth piece requires the new Halloween Map Stage. From the elevator spawn, proceed straight to the concert stage and climb onto it. On the left side, next to several crates, find the second torn photograph. Interact to collect this distinct piece.

The sixth piece requires you to enter the new Halloween Map Stage. Once you spawn near the elevator, walk straight through the map until you reach the concert stage.

Climb onto the concert stage and check the left side of the area. You should find several crates nearby with another Torn Photograph next to them.

Interact with the photograph to collect the sixth Lockbox Piece. This is separate from the Torn Picture found inside Gourdy’s Bedroom, so you need to collect both photographs to complete the related objectives.

The final Lockbox Piece appears in OG Roleplay Mode. In the main lobby, locate the room labeled Roleplay near the main hallway’s left side. Enter and select the Twisted Gourdy character. After transforming, exit and head down the hall. Enter the first left room, then go through the right-side room into the second room, where a sofa holds the Gourdy Plush. Interact with it to secure the last piece.

The final Lockbox Piece is found in OG Roleplay Mode. Return to the main lobby and look for the room labeled Roleplay on the left side of the main hallway.

Enter the room and choose Twisted Gourdy from the available Twisted characters. Once you have transformed, leave the area and walk down the hallway.

Enter the first room on the left, then move through the room on the right to reach the second room. Inside, look for a sofa with a Gourdy Plush sitting on it.

Interact with the plush to collect the seventh and final Lockbox Piece.

Collecting each Lockbox Piece takes patience because the quest spans multiple maps and modes, with some pieces hidden off the beaten path.

The initial poster and pumpkin objectives are straightforward, but the later typewriter code, torn photographs, and plush interaction require precise knowledge of locations and roles.

Completing all seven pieces rewards the Locked Away Badge. Keep this walkthrough handy to avoid missing any crucial items.

Once you complete all seven objectives, you can finish the quest and earn the Locked Away Badge. Keep the locations above handy if you are missing one piece, especially since several objectives are hidden away from the normal path.
