The new Ride A Pet update is finally here, and this one is a little different from the usual updates. Instead of giving us another new egg, the developers added a brand-new Fuse Machine, mystery fused pets, new mutations, and a bunch of animations across the game.
In this post, I’ll show you how the new Fuse Machine works, what you need before you can use it, how the four-pet fusion system works, and what you should know about the mystery fused pets. I’ll also cover the new mutation and trait systems and some of the smaller additions that came with the update.
If you’re just getting started with the update, I recommend taking things slowly. There are still a lot of mystery pets and unknown fusion combinations, so you don’t want to immediately throw your rarest pets into the machine. Let’s go through everything you need to know.
Ride A Pet Fuse Machine Update Guide – Fused Pets
The first thing you need to know is that the new Fuse Machine isn’t available to completely new players.
You need to have at least one Rebirth before you can see and use the machine.
So, if you’ve just started playing Ride A Pet and the Fuse Machine isn’t appearing for you, don’t worry. You most likely just need to get your first Rebirth.
Once you’ve reached the requirement, you can find the new Fuse Machine around the map.
Walk up to it and interact with the machine to open the fusion menu.
How Does the Fuse Machine Work?
Once you open the Fuse Machine, you’ll see that the fusion menu gives you four pet slots.
This means you need to select four animals before you can start checking the possible fusion results.
Simply add the four pets you want to use and then look at the information shown in the machine.
One of the most important sections is the Possible Fusions section.
Possible Fusions
The Possible Fusions section appears to show you what kind of result you might get based on the pets you have selected.
This is important because the Fuse Machine doesn’t seem to simply combine four completely random pets.
The pets you choose could potentially affect the final result. Their traits and mutations may also play a role, although not every part of this system is fully confirmed yet.
So, whenever you’re testing a combination, make sure you check the Possible Fusions section before you confirm the fusion.
Mystery Fused Pets
One of the biggest parts of this update is the large number of mystery Fuse Pets.
A lot of the fused pets are still hidden behind question marks, meaning we don’t know every exact result or recipe yet.
You’ll see different silhouettes across multiple rarity colors, and some of them give you a pretty good idea of what the final pet could look like.
There are silhouettes that look like:
- Winged creatures
- Cat or wolf-like animals
- Large four-legged beasts
- Fantasy-style creatures
- Other unique animal designs
There are also fusion cards with different colors, including purple, yellow, orange, and what appear to be higher-rarity options.
So, this isn’t just one special fused pet that everyone gets. It looks like there are multiple fusion results for us to discover.
Don’t Waste Your Rarest Pets
Because so many fusion recipes are still unknown, I wouldn’t recommend immediately using your rarest pets.
Instead, start by experimenting with pets you can afford to lose.
You don’t want to use an extremely valuable pet on a random combination only to discover later that it was required for one of the best fusion recipes.
As players discover more combinations, some pets that seem useless right now could suddenly become extremely valuable because they’re needed for a specific fusion.
So, for now, save your duplicates and use those for testing whenever possible.
Fusion Cost and Time
The Fuse Machine also shows a fusion time and cost.
However, these values appear to stay blank until you actually select your pets.
This means the amount of time and money required may depend on the specific combination you are using.
Because of this, I recommend keeping some extra cash available before you start experimenting.
Don’t spend all of your money and then realize you need more to complete a fusion you actually want.
Mutations and Traits
The Fuse Machine also has separate sections for Mutations and Traits.
This is another part of the update that we still need to learn more about.
It’s possible that the mutations and traits on your selected pets could affect which fusion you get. Another possibility is that these sections simply show which traits or mutations the final fused pet will receive.
At the moment, we shouldn’t assume that either one is guaranteed to change the fusion result.
So, if you already have pets with useful mutations or traits, I recommend keeping them safe for now instead of randomly throwing them into the Fuse Machine.
Mutation Madness
Mutation Madness is also part of the current update period.
If you already have pets with useful mutations or traits, this gives you another reason to hold onto them.
Until we know exactly how mutations and traits interact with the Fuse Machine, it’s better to be careful with valuable pets.
As more players test different combinations, we’ll probably learn more about which mutations and traits matter for specific fused pets.
New Animations
Another major change in this update is that the developers have animated basically everything.
Pets and different parts of the game now feel much more alive compared to before.
Even though we didn’t get a new egg, the update still makes some noticeable visual changes throughout the game.
Personally, I like that the developers didn’t simply add another egg and call it a day. The Fuse Machine gives all of those extra duplicate pets another purpose, which can make your existing collection more useful.
New Ethereal Name Tag
There is also a new name tag item called Ethereal.
However, it was shown as out of stock in the screenshot available for the update.
Because of that, you’ll want to keep checking the shop in case it becomes available again or rotates back into stock later.
Best Way to Use the Fuse Machine
If you’re not sure what you should be doing first, here’s the method I recommend.
Step 1: Get One Rebirth
Make sure you’ve completed at least one Rebirth.
You need this before the Fuse Machine becomes available to you.
Step 2: Find the Fuse Machine
Once you meet the requirement, find the Fuse Machine around the map and interact with it.
Step 3: Add Four Pets
Select four animals to fill the four available fusion slots.
Try to use duplicates or pets that you’re comfortable losing while you’re still learning the system.
Step 4: Check Possible Fusions
Before confirming anything, check the Possible Fusions section.
This lets you see what results may be available from your current combination.
Step 5: Check the Cost and Time
Look at the fusion cost and the amount of time the fusion will take.
Make sure you’re comfortable with both before confirming.
Step 6: Check Mutations and Traits
Don’t forget to look at the Mutation and Trait sections as well.
We don’t know every interaction yet, so it’s worth checking these before you use valuable pets.
Step 7: Confirm Only If You’re Comfortable
Finally, only start the fusion if you’re okay with losing all four selected pets.
Until every recipe is discovered, you should treat every experiment as a risk.
No New Egg in This Update
One of the most important things to remember is that there is no new egg in this update.
Instead, the main focus is the Fuse Machine and everything connected to it.
The update includes:
- New Fuse Machine
- Mystery fused pets
- Four-pet fusion system
- Mutations and traits
- Mutation Madness
- New animations
- Ethereal name tag
- Other smaller changes
So, don’t waste your time searching for a new egg. The main content you want to focus on is the Fuse Machine.
The new Ride A Pet update is definitely different from the usual updates because there isn’t another egg to grind. Instead, we now have the Fuse Machine, which gives duplicate and extra pets a completely new purpose.
For now, I recommend saving your duplicates and experimenting carefully rather than immediately using your rarest pets. There are still a lot of mystery fused pets to discover, and we don’t know every exact recipe yet.
The safest approach is to get your first Rebirth, find the Fuse Machine, add four pets, check the Possible Fusions, look at the cost and fusion time, and then decide whether the combination is worth trying.
Once players discover the exact recipes for the best fused pets, the Fuse Machine should become much easier to use. Until then, keep your valuable pets safe and start testing combinations with duplicates.
