The Skycrest update introduced the Crest Amulet, a new progression system that lets you customize your fishing setup with different stat-boosting Charms. If you have been exploring Skycrest and wondering how these Charms work, there is more to the system than simply catching fish around the island.
In this post, I’ll explain how to unlock the Crest Amulet Charms in Fisch, what each Charm does, and how you can progress through the Ancient Idol system to collect them all. There are several different stats you can improve, including Luck, Lure Speed, Control, Resilience, Maximum Weight, and Progress Speed.
The Crest Amulet is designed as a long-term progression system, so you should not expect to unlock everything just by finishing the main Skycrest storyline. You will need to complete Ancient Idol trials, increase your Idol Favor, and eventually take on special weather-related challenges to unlock the full collection.
How the Crest Amulet Works
After progressing far enough through Skycrest, you can access the Crest Amulet from the Accessories menu.
This is where you can equip the Charms you unlock while progressing through the Skycrest content.
The Crest Amulet allows you to build your setup around the stats you need most. For example, if your rod needs more Luck, you can focus on Luck-related Charms. If you want faster catches, you can use Charms that improve Lure Speed or Progress Speed instead.
As you increase your Idol Favor, you can unlock more slots and expand the number of Charms you can use.
Find the Seven Ancient Idols
There are seven main Ancient Idols around Skycrest.
Each Ancient Idol has its own progression path and a series of standard trials that you need to complete.
From the information shown, each Idol has around five standard trials connected to its progression.
Completing these trials is important because each Idol is connected to a specific Charm.
So, simply standing in Skycrest and catching fish is not enough if you want to unlock the complete Crest Amulet setup.
I recommend finding all seven Ancient Idols first and then working through their trials one by one.
Complete the Ancient Idol Trials
Once you find an Ancient Idol, you need to complete its assigned trials.
These trials are the main way to unlock the standard Charms connected to the Idol system.
The easiest way to approach this progression is:
- Find all seven Ancient Idols.
- Start completing their standard trials.
- Continue increasing your Idol Favor.
- Unlock the Charms connected to each Idol.
- Move on to the special challenges after completing the basic progression.
You should try to work through the Idol system gradually instead of waiting until you finish everything else in Skycrest.
Charm of Swiftness
The Charm of Swiftness increases your Lure Speed.
This Charm is useful if you want fish to bite faster and reduce the amount of time you spend waiting for catches.
It is also connected to the Swift Winds questline, including progression involving Breeze Caster and Breeze Guster.
If your current rod has good Luck but slower Lure Speed, this is one of the Charms I would consider using.
Charm of Fortune
The Charm of Fortune increases your Luck.
This is one of the most useful options when you are hunting for rare fish or trying to improve your chances of finding difficult catches.
If you are farming for rare, Mythical, Secret, or other difficult fish, adding more Luck to your setup can be extremely helpful.
I would personally consider this one of the more generally useful Charms because Luck can benefit many different fishing situations.
Charm of Endurance
The Charm of Endurance increases your Control.
Control is especially useful when you are trying to catch difficult fish that move aggressively during the fishing minigame.
Having more Control can make the fishing bar easier to manage and give you more room to deal with difficult catches.
If you are struggling with hard fish rather than finding them, this is a Charm worth considering.
Charm of Relaxation
The Charm of Relaxation increases your Resilience.
More Resilience can make difficult catches more forgiving and help your rod handle tougher fish.
This can be useful when you are fishing for creatures that put up a strong fight.
If your setup already has enough Luck and Lure Speed but struggles with difficult catches, adding Resilience may be the better choice.
Brawn Charm
The Brawn Charm increases your Maximum Fish Weight.
This is useful when you are trying to catch extremely large or heavy fish.
Your Maximum Weight stat can limit which catches your rod is capable of handling, so increasing it gives you more flexibility when targeting massive fish.
I would recommend considering this Charm when you are preparing for heavyweight catches rather than regular fishing.
Rush Charm
The Rush Charm increases your Progress Speed.
This helps you progress through catches faster.
If you want to reduce the time spent completing the fishing minigame, Progress Speed can be a valuable stat.
The Rush Charm is particularly useful for players who want a faster overall fishing experience.
Pester Charm
The Pester Charm increases Disturbance.
This is a more specialized stat compared to the other Charms.
Because of that, I would mainly recommend using it when you have a specific setup or gameplay reason for increasing Disturbance.
Unlike Luck or Lure Speed, this is not necessarily the Charm that every player will want equipped all the time.
How to Get the Titanic Charm
The Titanic Charm is one of the special Charms outside the normal Ancient Idol rewards.
This Charm increases your Fish Weight.
It is connected to special trials and additional Skycrest progression rather than the standard Idol progression alone.
You will need to continue progressing through the Idol system and take on the required special challenges to unlock it.
The Titanic Charm is a good option for players focused on catching extremely large and heavy fish.
How to Get the Flash Charm
The Flash Charm is another special Charm.
It boosts your Progress Speed, helping you complete catches faster.
Like the Titanic Charm, this is not simply unlocked through the normal standard Idol trials.
You need to progress further into the Skycrest system and complete special challenges connected to weather-related progression.
This means you should not stop after unlocking the basic Charms if you want the complete Crest Amulet collection.
Increase Your Idol Favor
Your Idol Favor is an important part of unlocking more Skycrest content.
As your Idol Favor level increases, you gain access to more progression and additional trials.
Higher Idol Favor can help open up:
- More Idol-related content
- Additional trials
- Special progression challenges
- Further Crest Amulet progression
Because of this, I recommend continuing to raise your Idol Favor while working on the standard Ancient Idol trials.
Do not focus on only one part of the system and ignore the others.
Complete the Special Weather Challenges
After unlocking the basic Charms, you can move into the more advanced progression.
The special Charms, including the Titanic Charm and Flash Charm, are connected to special trials and weather-related challenges.
You may need to progress through weather events and more difficult Skycrest objectives to unlock these rewards.
This is why the Crest Amulet takes longer to complete than some of the other update features.
It is meant to be something you gradually build over time.
