The Harvest Moon Event Part 4 is here in Grow a Garden, and this update brings a new pet that a lot of players are going to want: Cornling.
So, how exactly do you get Cornling? The process is actually pretty simple once you understand how the new quest system works. In this guide, I’ll show you how to start the quests, how the progress system works, what rewards you can unlock along the way, and how to eventually reach Cornling.
How to Get Cornling in Grow a Garden
To get the Cornling pet, you need to complete the new Harvest Moon quests and keep progressing through the reward track.
Cornling is located at the 12th reward spot, so you won’t be able to claim it immediately. You’ll need to keep completing quests to earn progress until you reach that position.
The basic process is:
- Talk to the new Harvest Moon quest NPC.
- Complete the quests you’re given.
- Earn progress toward the reward track.
- Wait for new quests to refresh.
- Keep completing quests until you reach the Cornling reward.
- Claim Cornling from the 12th reward slot.
It’s essentially a progression system, so consistency is the key here.
Find the New Harvest Moon Quest NPC
The first thing you’ll want to do is find the new Harvest Moon NPC added with Part 4.
This NPC gives you a set of quests that you can complete for event progress.
Once you interact with the NPC, you’ll be able to see your current objectives and the rewards you’re working toward.
I’d recommend checking the quest menu every time your quests refresh because completing these objectives is the main way you’ll progress toward Cornling.
Cornling Is the 12th Reward
When you open the reward track, you’ll notice that Cornling is sitting in the 12th spot.
That means you need to work your way through the earlier rewards before you can claim the pet.
There’s another reward further along the track as well, with the Eclipse Berry appearing as the final reward shown in the quest progression.
So, don’t worry if Cornling isn’t immediately available. Just keep completing your event quests and your progress will gradually move toward the pet.
Complete Your Harvest Moon Quests
The quests you receive can be different objectives, so you’ll need to check the current requirements rather than expecting the exact same task every time.
In the gameplay shown, some of the objectives included opening Moon Chests, activating the Harvest Moon, and using Harvest Moon crafting.
Let’s take a closer look at how these work.
Open Moon Chests
One of the quests requires you to open six Moon Chests.
If this objective appears for you, simply find the required Moon Chests and open six of them.
Once you’ve opened all six, the quest will automatically be completed and you’ll receive the corresponding reward and progress.
This is a pretty straightforward objective, so if you already have access to the required chests, you should be able to knock it out fairly quickly.
Activate the Harvest Moon
Another quest requires you to activate the Harvest Moon.
For this objective, you need to offer the required fruits.
Check the event interface to see exactly which fruits are needed, then collect them from your garden and submit them.
Once you’ve provided everything the event asks for, the Harvest Moon will activate and the quest will be marked as completed.
If you’re growing the required fruits yourself, I’d recommend keeping a small stock of them instead of selling everything immediately. That way, you’ll be ready whenever this type of quest appears.
Use Harvest Moon Crafting
Another possible objective is to use Harvest Moon crafting.
Simply head to the relevant crafting interface and use the Harvest Moon crafting feature as required by the quest.
Once you’ve completed the crafting objective, the quest will count toward your event progression.
This one is particularly easy to overlook, so always check your quest requirements before spending your time doing unrelated activities.
How Quest Refreshes Work
After completing your available quests, you’ll eventually run out of objectives.
That’s what happened in the gameplay shown in the video.
Once all the current quests were completed, the next set required a 2-hour refresh.
So, you can’t simply complete the entire Cornling progression in one sitting without waiting.
Your quests will refresh after the required amount of time, allowing you to continue earning progress.
Can You Skip the Quest Refresh Timer?
Yes, there is also an option to skip the wait.
However, you’ll need to spend either event tokens or Robux to skip the quest refresh.
Whether that’s worth doing is completely up to you.
If you don’t mind waiting, you can simply let the timer run out and come back when your new quests are available. This is the better option if you want to save your Robux or event currency.
If you’re trying to get Cornling as quickly as possible, though, the skip option can speed up your progression.
Keep Completing Quests to Reach Cornling
The most important thing to remember is that Cornling isn’t obtained from a single quest.
You need to keep progressing through the Harvest Moon reward track.
Every time your quests are available, complete as many as you can. Then wait for the refresh and repeat the process.
Your progression will gradually move through the reward slots until you reach the 12th reward, where Cornling is waiting.
So even if you’re currently several rewards away from the pet, don’t worry. You’re simply working your way toward it.
Harvest Moon Shovel Skin
Part 4 also adds a new Harvest Moon Shovel Skin.
This one works similarly to the previous Harvest Moon shovel skin rewards.
To unlock it, you need to complete 80% of the Harvest Moon Collection.
So, if you’re also interested in collecting the event cosmetics, make sure you’re not focusing exclusively on the Cornling quests.
Working on your collection at the same time can help you make progress toward the shovel skin while you’re completing the event.
