If you’ve just loaded into the newest Kaizen update and you’re wondering what’s actually new, there are three things you should know about right away: the Missile Fist cursed technique, the new mission board types, and the brand-new Stat Overview page.

I spent some time testing the new technique and trying out the new Escort mission, and honestly, Missile Fist surprised me. It’s described as more of a starter-type cursed technique with only four moves, so I wasn’t expecting anything ridiculous.

Then I started using the abilities.

Some of these animations are way cleaner than I expected.

The update also adds a useful stat screen that finally lets you see your multipliers properly, which is going to make building your character a lot easier.

Here’s everything you need to know.

Kaizen Missile Fist Update Guide – Escort Missions, Codes

The biggest addition in this update is the new Missile Fist Cursed Technique.

Unlike some of the more complicated cursed techniques in Kaizen, Missile Fist only has four moves.

That makes it feel much more like a straightforward starter technique rather than a massive endgame moveset.

But don’t let the small number of abilities fool you.

The moves themselves are surprisingly clean, and several of them look like they could be very useful for combos.

The four abilities are:

  • Mighty Blow
  • Head Breaker
  • Missile Devastation
  • Fierce Crash

Let’s take a closer look at each one.

Mighty Blow

Mighty Blow is the first Missile Fist ability.

The main thing you’ll notice immediately is the speed.

It comes out very quickly, which makes it a good candidate for combo setups where you don’t want to spend ages waiting for an animation to finish.

Fast attacks are particularly useful when you’re chaining abilities together because you can get into your next move much sooner.

So while Mighty Blow isn’t necessarily the most spectacular-looking attack in the kit, its speed is one of its biggest advantages.

Head Breaker

Next is Head Breaker.

This move has a much more noticeable impact compared with the first ability.

It also feels like one of the abilities that could work nicely inside a combo.

If you’re the kind of player who likes chaining attacks together instead of relying on one huge ability, Head Breaker is probably going to be one of the more interesting parts of Missile Fist.

The animation is quick enough that it doesn’t feel like you’re sacrificing too much time just to land the attack.

Missile Devastation

Now this is where Missile Fist starts looking much better than its “starter technique” description would suggest.

Missile Devastation has a surprisingly clean animation.

When testing it, this was one of those moves where I honestly expected something much simpler based on the technique’s description.

Instead, the visual effect is much more impressive.

The attack has a strong impact and looks particularly good when used against higher-level enemies.

If you’re judging the technique purely on how its moves look, Missile Devastation is definitely one of the highlights.

Fierce Crash

The final ability is Fierce Crash.

This is another move that looks much better than I expected.

The impact is noticeable, and the animation gives the technique a much stronger feeling than you’d expect from something described as a starter cursed technique.

It also works nicely as part of a combo because you aren’t dealing with an unnecessarily long animation.

Overall, Fierce Crash is a solid way to finish off the four-move kit.

Is Missile Fist Good for Combos?

This might actually be one of Missile Fist’s biggest strengths.

The moves are relatively quick, and the kit doesn’t seem to rely on long, complicated animations.

That gives you room to experiment with different attack chains.

If you’re someone who enjoys fighting mechanically rather than simply spamming one powerful ability, Missile Fist could be a fun technique to play around with.

I wouldn’t automatically call it the strongest cursed technique in Kaizen, especially considering it only has four moves.

But for combo-focused gameplay, it has some potential.

Testing Missile Fist in Shibuya City

Testing the technique in a lower-level area is one thing.

I wanted to see how the abilities actually behaved against stronger enemies, so I took Missile Fist into Shibuya City.

This is where the technique became more interesting.

The animations remain clean even when you’re fighting higher-level enemies, although some of the visual effects can behave a little differently depending on what’s happening around you.

Missile Devastation in particular continues to stand out.

Fierce Crash also looks great when it connects.

One thing to keep in mind is that some of the heavier effects can cause a little lag depending on what’s happening around you.

So if you suddenly experience a tiny performance dip while throwing out one of the bigger attacks, don’t be too surprised.

New Kaizen Mission Board

The second major addition is the updated Mission Board.

You can interact with the board to see the different mission types available.

The new board includes options such as:

  • Escort
  • Boss Hunt
  • Other existing mission types

The big addition here is the Escort mission.

And yes, it works exactly how you’d expect.

You have to protect an NPC while they travel through a route.

Sounds easy.

It isn’t always that easy.

How to Complete Escort Missions in Kaizen

The objective is simple:

Stay near the escort target and protect them until they reach the end of the route.

Enemies will spawn along the way and try to take the escort target down.

Your job is to eliminate those enemies before they kill the person you’re protecting.

This makes the mission very different from a normal “kill everything” objective.

You can’t just focus on your own survival.

You have another character that needs to stay alive.

Best Build for Escort Missions

This is where having good AoE damage becomes extremely useful.

You don’t want to rely entirely on a single-target ability.

Enemies can appear around the escort target, and if several of them spawn together, you need to clear them quickly.

I’d recommend bringing a cursed technique or build that has:

  • Fast attacks
  • Strong AoE
  • Good crowd control
  • Short cooldowns
  • Enough burst damage to eliminate dangerous enemies quickly

You don’t necessarily need the strongest possible character.

But you do want something that can handle groups without constantly waiting for cooldowns.

Keep an Eye on the Escort NPC

The biggest mistake you can make is getting distracted and letting the escort walk into a group of enemies alone.

During testing, the escort target’s health could disappear surprisingly quickly.

So even if you’re comfortably destroying the enemies yourself, keep checking the NPC’s health.

If they die, you’re going to have a bad time.

The mission is essentially a moving defense objective.

You clear enemies, let the escort move forward, clear the next group, and keep repeating until they reach the end.

Escort Missions Can Have Multiple Enemy Waves

You aren’t necessarily dealing with one group of enemies.

More enemies can spawn as the escort progresses through the route.

This means you need to stay with them rather than clearing one area and assuming the mission is finished.

Follow the escort all the way to the end.

Once the target reaches the destination, the mission can be completed.

It sounds obvious, but it’s easy to lose track of the NPC when you’re focused on fighting.

New Stat Overview Page

The other major quality-of-life feature in this update is the Stat Overview.

This is probably my favorite addition if you’re someone who likes optimizing builds.

To access it, go to:

Character → Overview

You’ll then be able to see your character’s different stats and multipliers in one place.

This is extremely useful because you no longer have to guess how much a particular transformation, clan effect, or other bonus is actually changing your character.

You can simply check the overview.

What Does the Stat Overview Show?

The new page displays your various multipliers and bonuses.

This can include things such as:

  • Cursed Technique Damage
  • Melee Damage
  • Clan-related bonuses
  • Transformation bonuses
  • Other combat multipliers

This makes it much easier to understand where your damage is actually coming from.

And honestly, that can save a lot of time when you’re experimenting with builds.

Transformations Now Show Their Impact

One particularly useful part of the new system is seeing how transformations affect your stats.

For example, a transformation associated with a clan can increase multiple stats at once.

Instead of simply knowing that a transformation is “good,” you can now open your overview and actually see the changes.

That makes build testing much easier.

You can activate a transformation, check the overview, compare the numbers, and then decide whether it’s worth using for your particular setup.

Dagon Transformation Example

The update also gives a good example of how this system works with transformations such as Dagon’s Cracking Body.

After activating the transformation and checking the Stat Overview, you can see increases to several important areas.

These include things such as:

  • Cursed Technique Damage
  • Dagon Clan bonuses
  • Melee Damage
  • Other related multipliers

This is exactly the kind of information that was previously much harder to track.

Now you can see the effect directly.

Why the Stat Overview Matters for Builds

If you enjoy min-maxing your character, this feature is going to be extremely useful.

Instead of looking at a transformation and thinking, “This probably gives me more damage,” you can actually test it.

You can compare:

Before transformation → activate transformation → check stats → compare multipliers.

That gives you a much better idea of whether a particular combination is actually worth using.

It’s also going to make it easier for players to share optimized builds because they can provide actual multiplier information rather than simply saying that one setup “feels stronger.”

More Transformations Are Coming

The update also sets things up for more transformations in the future.

As more transformations are added to Kaizen, the Stat Overview should become even more useful.

Each new transformation can potentially change several of your multipliers, and now you’ll have a clear way of seeing those changes.

So even if you aren’t interested in build optimization right now, it’s worth getting familiar with the Overview page.

Best Things to Do After the Kaizen Update

If you’re jumping into the update and don’t know what to test first, I’d go in this order.

Try Missile Fist

Test all four moves and see how they fit into your combo style.

Don’t judge it solely because it has only four abilities.

Test It Against Stronger Enemies

Take it into a higher-level area such as Shibuya City.

This gives you a much better idea of how the abilities actually perform.

Try the New Escort Mission

Use a build with good AoE and stay close to the escort target.

Remember that your objective isn’t simply to kill enemies. You’re protecting someone.

Check Your Stat Overview

Go to Character → Overview and look at your current multipliers.

This is particularly important after activating transformations.

Experiment With Your Build

Try different transformations, clans, cursed techniques, and other bonuses.

The new Overview page makes comparing them much easier.

This Kaizen update isn’t massive in terms of the number of systems being added, but the additions are actually pretty useful.

Missile Fist is a surprisingly clean cursed technique for something positioned as a starter-style option. It only has four moves, but several of them are fast and combo-friendly, while Missile Devastation and Fierce Crash look especially good.

The new Escort missions are also a nice change from the usual mission format. Instead of simply running around killing enemies, you have to protect an NPC and make sure they survive the entire route.

And then there’s the Stat Overview, which is probably the feature that will have the biggest long-term impact on serious players.

Being able to see your actual multipliers makes experimenting with transformations and builds much easier.

So if you haven’t checked out the update yet, I’d start with Missile Fist, try an Escort mission, and then open your Character Overview.

The new stat information alone should make it much easier to figure out what is actually making your build stronger instead of just guessing.
