If you’re the type of player who can’t leave a game until every achievement is checked off, Shred the Secrets has plenty to keep you busy. While the game does feature multiple endings, hidden areas, and lots of secrets, there’s another long-term goal that many players overlook—the complete badge collection.
There are 27 badges to unlock, ranging from simple achievements you’ll earn without even trying to difficult challenges that require multiple playthroughs, careful exploration, and plenty of grinding. The nice thing is that none of these badges are locked behind Robux or premium items, so every player has the same opportunity to collect them all.
This guide covers every badge in the game, grouped by its star rating, along with tips to help you unlock them as efficiently as possible.
How Badges Work in Shred the Secrets
After earning a badge, you can visit the Badges Station to equip it.
Once equipped, your selected badge appears above your character’s head while playing. They’re purely cosmetic, meaning they don’t increase your money, improve your abilities, or make the game any easier.
Instead, they’re designed as collectibles that show off your accomplishments and encourage players to experience everything the game has to offer.
1-Star Badges
These are the easiest badges in the game and are usually unlocked during your very first session.
Company Card
Requirement: Purchase your first upgrade.
You’ll naturally unlock this after earning a little cash and buying any available upgrade.
Welcome
Requirement: Join the game.
Simply loading into Shred the Secrets rewards you with this badge.
First Day on the Job
Requirement: Shred your first stack of paper.
This is essentially the tutorial achievement and is impossible to miss.
Tip: If you’re just starting out, you’ll probably earn all three of these badges within the first few minutes.
2-Star Badges
These require a bit more gameplay but mostly involve completing basic objectives.
IT Department
Requirement: Crank the shredders 100 times.
Just keep using shredders during your runs, and this badge will unlock naturally.
Access Granted
Requirement: Open your first door.
You’ll receive this while progressing through the building.
Housekeeping
Requirement: Clear 20 cobwebs.
Take time to explore each room instead of rushing. Destroy every cobweb you come across until you reach the required total.
It’s Not What It Looks Like
Requirement: Get caught by the FBI.
Rather than avoiding trouble, you’ll actually need to trigger this encounter once.
Paper Pusher
Requirement: Shred 100 stacks of paper.
Simply continue playing and shredding documents throughout multiple runs.
Nosy Coworker
Requirement: Open 20 filing cabinets.
Search every office thoroughly since filing cabinets are scattered throughout the map.
Tip: Most 2-star badges are cumulative, so don’t worry if you don’t finish them during your first run.
3-Star Badges
This is where the game starts rewarding exploration instead of simple progression.
Joyride
Requirement: Ride the elevator out of the basement.
Once you discover the basement, make sure you leave using the elevator to unlock this achievement.
Dangerous Knowledge
Requirement: Discover something you weren’t supposed to see.
This badge is tied to one of the game’s hidden secrets, so be sure to investigate suspicious areas.
Solid Gold
Requirement: Shred paper using the Golden Shredder.
If you come across the Golden Shredder during your adventure, don’t ignore it. Feed at least one stack of paper into it.
Intruder
Requirement: Break every plank covering the boarded-up doorway.
Whenever you find the boarded entrance, destroy every wooden plank before moving on.
Keymaster
Requirement: Find the key inside Room 3.
Search the room carefully, as it’s easy to overlook the key during your first visit.
Understaffed
Requirement: Complete an entire run solo.
This is one of the tougher achievements since you won’t have teammates to revive or help you complete objectives.
Tricked
Requirement: Find the fake exit.
The fake exit is one of the game’s hidden secrets, so don’t immediately assume every doorway leads to the ending.
Let’s Keep This Between Us
Requirement: Find the sketchy coworker’s phone.
Explore every room carefully and inspect suspicious locations to locate the hidden phone.
Tip: Slow down during your runs. Most of these badges reward players who search every room rather than rushing to the ending.
4-Star Badges
These achievements require longer play sessions and multiple successful runs.
Exceeded Expectations
Requirement: Purchase every upgrade during a single run.
Save your money and prioritize upgrades carefully so you can eventually buy them all before finishing the run.
Buzzer Beater
Requirement: Complete a run in under 45 minutes.
Playing with an experienced group can make this challenge significantly easier.
Cooking the Books
Requirement: Earn a total of 10 million cash across all runs.
This is cumulative, so every successful run brings you closer to the goal.
Millionaire
Requirement: Collect 1 million cash.
Unlike the previous badge, this focuses on reaching one million cash collected.
Just Another Day at the Office
Requirement: Complete 10 full runs.
You’ll likely unlock this while working toward the higher-tier grinding badges.
Tip: A coordinated team can dramatically reduce completion times, making several of these badges much easier.
5-Star Badges
These are the ultimate endgame achievements and will probably take the longest to complete.
Secrets? What Secrets?
Requirement: Shred every single document during one run.
Don’t leave any papers behind. Explore every room thoroughly before finishing the game.
Dark Secrets
Requirement: Complete Ending 2.
You’ll need to discover and follow the requirements for the game’s second ending.
The Shred Father
Requirement: Shred 5,000 stacks of paper.
This is easily one of the longest grinds in the game, so expect to earn it after many runs.
Perfect Attendance
Requirement: Complete Ending 2 with a full squad.
Gather a complete team before attempting the second ending.
What?
Requirement: Complete Ending 1.
Simply finish the game’s first ending to unlock this achievement.
Tips for Unlocking Every Badge Faster
If your goal is 100% completion, try to combine objectives instead of focusing on only one badge at a time.
Some good strategies include:
- Search every room during each run instead of rushing.
- Open every filing cabinet you find.
- Destroy every cobweb you see.
- Shred every document whenever possible.
- Alternate between solo runs and multiplayer sessions.
- Work toward both endings.
- Save money wisely so you can purchase every upgrade in one run.
- Play with experienced teammates when attempting speed-related challenges.
By stacking multiple objectives together, you’ll unlock badges much faster than targeting them one at a time.

Collecting every badge in Shred the Secrets isn’t something you’ll finish in a single afternoon, and that’s exactly what makes it satisfying. Some badges reward simple progression, while others encourage you to explore every hidden corner, experiment with different endings, and even challenge yourself with solo or speedrun attempts.
If you’re aiming for 100% completion, don’t worry about getting every badge immediately. Focus on learning the map, playing with different groups, and exploring as much as possible during each run. Before long, you’ll have most of the collection unlocked, leaving only the biggest grind achievements standing between you and a complete badge collection.
