The Collector Badge in Ice Tycoon 2 requires you to find every hidden gem scattered across the map. While some gems are easy to grab, others are locked behind escape challenges, hidden caves, or special items you’ll need to collect first.
This guide walks you through every gem location step by step so you can unlock the Collector Badge as quickly as possible.
Collector Badge Requirements
Before you begin, make sure you have:
- Upgraded your Crystal at least twice
- Unlocked the Mine area
- Access to the Factory
- Completed enough progression to reach the hidden cave and escape building
Once you’re ready, it’s time to collect all five gems.
Yellow Gem Location
The Yellow Gem is the longest to obtain because it requires completing three versions of the escape challenge.
Step 1: Reach the Escape Building
After upgrading your Crystal twice, head to the large escape building.
If you’ve already completed it previously, simply return and interact with the level selector.
Step 2: Complete Levels 1, 2, and 3
Use the switch to select each difficulty before pressing Start.
You’ll need to finish:
- Level 1
- Level 2
- Level 3
Each level becomes more difficult because the rising water moves faster and additional hazards appear.
Tips
- Memorize the route before attempting higher levels.
- Walking along railings helps avoid touching the freezing water.
- Even touching the water with your feet will fail the run.
- Don’t rush blindly—one mistake usually forces a restart.
Step 3: Obtain the Key
After completing Level 3, you’ll receive a key.
Take it to the locked door nearby.
Open the door and complete the short obstacle course hidden inside.
At the end you’ll find the Yellow Gem.
Blue Gem Location
The Blue Gem is hidden inside the Mine.
How to Get It
Unlock the Mine area first.
On the left side you’ll notice a cracked rock wall.
Mine through the rocks until the hidden opening appears.
Drop into the secret cave below to collect the Blue Gem.
This is one of the easiest gems to obtain once the Mine is unlocked.
Purple Gem Location
The Purple Gem is hidden deep inside an underground tunnel network.
Requirements
You’ll first need to unlock the army area by purchasing the required troop upgrades.
How to Reach It
Enter the battlefield area and jump into the underground tunnels.
Follow this path:
- Take the first left
- Continue forward
- Take the next right
- Continue until another intersection
- Take another right
- Follow the tunnel until you reach a hidden platforming section
Complete the short parkour course.
The Purple Gem is waiting at the top.
After collecting it, press the nearby escape button to leave the area safely.
Green Gem Location
The Green Gem is hidden inside the Factory.
How to Get It
Travel to the Factory.
Instead of staying on the main floor, head toward the left side and climb onto the upper platforms.
Continue climbing until you reach the hidden walkway.
Follow the platform around the upper level.
The Green Gem can be collected from this hidden section.
Red Gem Location
The Red Gem requires a special collectible called Frozen Magma.
Step 1: Find Frozen Magma
During the Level 3 escape challenge you’ll find Frozen Magma inside one of the rooms.
The good news is you don’t need to be actively racing the timer to grab it—it can still be collected later from the same location.
Be sure to pick it up before leaving.
Step 2: Melt the Hidden Entrance
Once you’ve obtained the Frozen Magma, use it to open the hidden entrance.
Jump down into the newly opened area.
Inside you’ll find the Red Gem.
Activate the Gem Shrine
After collecting every gem:
- Yellow
- Blue
- Purple
- Green
- Red
Return to the gem shrine.
Insert each gem into its matching slot.
Once every socket has been filled, the shrine activates and immediately rewards you with the Collector Badge.
Tips for Completing the Collector Badge Faster
- Upgrade your Crystal twice before starting the hunt since several areas remain inaccessible otherwise.
- Finish the escape building first because it gives you both the Yellow Gem and Frozen Magma needed later.
- Use the railings during the timed escape levels to avoid touching freezing water.
- Collect the Blue Gem while unlocking your Mine to save a return trip.
- Visit the Factory after restoring it so you can grab the Green Gem without backtracking.
- Keep the tunnel directions for the Purple Gem handy, as it’s easy to get lost underground.
