Reign Piece has been getting some pretty interesting updates lately, but this one feels much bigger than a simple character release. The addition of Anos brings an entirely new progression path, Nicholas introduces a challenging world boss encounter, and the new Limit Break system gives endgame players another reason to keep grinding.
After spending some time looking through everything added in the update, it’s clear that most players are going to be focusing on three major goals. First, unlocking Anos. Second, farming Nicholas for his drops. Third, collecting Limit Break Stones to push their stats beyond previous limits.
If you’re jumping into the update and wondering where to start, here’s everything worth knowing.
The New Limit Break System
The biggest gameplay change in this update is the introduction of Limit Break.
Before this patch, every stat in Reign Piece had a maximum limit. Once you reached that cap, there wasn’t much else you could do besides improving gear, abilities, or other forms of progression.
Limit Break changes that.
Using Limit Break Stones allows players to push their stats beyond the normal cap and invest even more points into their builds.
For players already sitting at maximum stats, this essentially creates a new layer of progression that didn’t previously exist.
How to Get Limit Break Stones
Currently, Limit Break Stones only come from two sources:
- Anos
- Nicholas
This means you’ll need to farm the newest content if you want to take advantage of the system.
Because these stones are tied directly to endgame progression, expect them to become one of the most valuable resources in the game.
Anos Domain Island
Anos arrives alongside an entirely new island called Anos Domain.
Everything related to Anos can be found here.
The island acts as the central hub for:
- Anos progression
- Anos boss farming
- Race unlock requirements
- New NPCs
- New Binding Vow content
If your goal is obtaining Anos, you’ll be spending a lot of time on this island.
How to Unlock Anos
Getting Anos isn’t simply a matter of defeating a boss once.
Several requirements must be completed before the character becomes available.
Required Materials
To obtain Anos, you’ll need materials gathered primarily from the new Anos boss.
Most of the required resources drop directly from activities tied to the island.
You’ll also need access to the new race introduced in the update.
Tyrannical Demon King Race
One of the major requirements for Anos is obtaining the Tyrannical Demon King race.
Unlike some straightforward unlocks, this one is tied to a contract-style progression system.
That means you’ll need to complete multiple objectives before reaching the final reward.
Tyrannical Demon King Contract Requirements
The race contract involves several enemy kill requirements.
Players must defeat:
- 8 Shadows
- 20 Anos enemies
- 8 Eyes Bosses
Once the combat objectives are finished, the second phase begins.
Required Materials
You’ll need:
- 10 Shadow Fragments
- 10 Reatsu Residue
- 5 Oaths of Destruction
These materials serve as the final gate before unlocking the race.
Since many players are still experimenting with the update, it’s worth checking whether trading works for some of these items. If trading is available, it could significantly reduce the farming time.
Farming the Anos Boss
Most players will spend the majority of their time farming the new Anos boss.
The boss uses a server-based spawn system and appears on Anos Domain Island.
Since multiple progression systems rely on his drops, expect competition whenever he spawns.
The good news is that most of the materials needed for both Anos and race progression come from the same general content loop.
That means every kill contributes toward several different goals at once.
Vow of Gambler
The update also introduces a brand-new Binding Vow.
Vow of Gambler
This vow can be found on Anos Domain Island.
Like other vows, it provides both advantages and disadvantages that alter gameplay.
Players looking to experiment with risk-versus-reward builds may find this one particularly interesting.
The island also contains the NPC responsible for removing or unbinding vows if you decide the effects no longer fit your build.
Anos Performance
Although the showcase in the update video was limited due to missing sound effects, Anos appears to be a strong overall character.
The moveset focuses on heavy damage output and flashy abilities, making him feel impactful in combat.
From the gameplay shown, Anos doesn’t seem like a niche character designed for a specific situation.
Instead, he looks like a solid all-around option capable of handling most content effectively.
While more testing will be needed to determine his exact position in the meta, first impressions are definitely positive.
Nicholas World Boss
The second major addition is Nicholas.
Unlike Anos, Nicholas isn’t obtained through a progression contract.
Instead, he’s introduced as a powerful world boss encounter.
Nicholas Spawn Location
Nicholas spawns at:
West Mountain Island
If you’re planning to farm him regularly, it’s worth becoming familiar with the route to this location.
Nicholas Rewards
Defeating Nicholas can reward players with several valuable items.
Nicholas Weapon
The boss has a chance to drop his signature weapon.
From the showcase, the weapon delivers powerful attacks and visually resembles something you’d expect from a high-end legendary drop.
The animations look impressive, and the overall feel is extremely aggressive.
Renegade Star Accessories
Nicholas can also drop special accessories known as Renegade Stars.
These come in multiple rarity levels.
Blue Renegade Star
The most common version.
Red Renegade Star
More difficult to obtain.
Purple Renegade Star
The rarest version currently available.
One interesting mechanic is that Nicholas’ appearance indicates which accessory tier he can potentially drop.
The boss can spawn in different colors:
- Blue Nicholas
- Red Nicholas
- Purple Nicholas
The color essentially serves as a preview of the loot table you’ll be fighting for.
Fighting Nicholas Efficiently
One thing became very clear during the showcase.
Nicholas is not a boss designed for solo farming.
The fight deals significant damage, has high durability, and requires sustained damage output.
Attempting to farm him alone is possible for some highly optimized builds, but it generally isn’t worth the effort.
Group Farming Strategy
The most efficient approach is forming a group.
Advantages include:
- Faster kills
- More consistent clears
- Lower risk of death
- Better farming efficiency
Since many players need Limit Break Stones and accessory drops, finding groups shouldn’t be difficult.
Nicholas Stun Mechanic
During the fight, Nicholas has a special mechanic that rewards sustained damage.
As players deal enough damage, the boss can occasionally become stunned.
When this happens, Nicholas becomes vulnerable for a short period.
These stun windows create excellent opportunities to unload your strongest abilities and maximize damage.
If you’re farming with a group, coordinating burst damage during these moments can dramatically shorten the encounter.
Best Update Priorities
If you’re logging into Reign Piece after the update and aren’t sure what to tackle first, I’d recommend this order.
Priority One
Start farming Anos Domain.
You’ll be working toward:
- Anos materials
- Race progression
- Limit Break Stones
Priority Two
Complete the Tyrannical Demon King contract.
This grind takes time, so beginning early is beneficial.
Priority Three
Farm Nicholas with a group.
This gives access to:
- Nicholas weapon
- Renegade Star accessories
- Additional Limit Break Stones
Priority Four
Experiment with the Vow of Gambler and see whether it complements your build.
This update adds much more than just two new characters. The Limit Break system creates a completely new layer of progression for endgame players, Anos introduces a lengthy but rewarding grind, and Nicholas gives players a challenging world boss with valuable rewards.
Personally, I think the biggest long-term addition is Limit Break. New characters eventually come and go, but increasing stat caps affects nearly every build in the game. Players who start farming Limit Break Stones early will likely benefit the most as future updates continue expanding progression.
That said, Anos looks strong, Nicholas offers excellent rewards, and both pieces of content feel worthwhile. If you’re only planning to focus on one thing after logging in, start with Anos Domain. You’ll naturally make progress toward several systems at the same time, making it the most efficient place to begin your grind.
