If you’ve jumped into Bite by Night and noticed the Medal quest sitting there, you’re probably wondering if it’s worth doing. Short answer: yes. It’s one of the easiest limited rewards you can grab, and the Medal Fighter Skin actually looks clean.
The process is simple, but there are a couple of small steps where most players mess up. Here’s the proper way to finish it without wasting time.
Step 1: Download and Set Up Medal.tv
Before anything else, you need the Medal app installed.
- Download Medal on your PC
- Install and launch it
- When logging in, don’t use random options
Look for “Other Options” → Login with Roblox
This part matters because the reward is tied directly to your Roblox account. If you log in any other way, the skin won’t show up later.
Step 2: Link Your Roblox Account Properly
Once you log in using Roblox, your account should be automatically linked.
To double-check:
- Open Medal settings
- Look for your Roblox profile connection
If it’s not showing, reconnect before moving forward. This is the most common reason people can’t claim the reward later.
Step 3: Launch Bite by Night and Trigger the Quest
Now hop into the game.
You should see the quest mentioning:
- Link account (already done)
- Capture gameplay using Medal
At this point, Medal should automatically detect that you’re playing.
Step 4: Record a Clip (This Is the Core Step)
This is where you actually complete the quest.
- Stay in-game for at least 30 seconds
- Press F8 on your keyboard
What this does:
Medal records the last 30 seconds of your gameplay, so you don’t need to manually start recording.
Once you press F8, your clip is saved automatically.
Step 5: Upload the Clip to Medal
After recording:
- Open Medal
- Find your recorded clip
- Upload it
This step is required. Just recording isn’t enough, the system only counts uploaded clips.
Step 6: Claim the Medal Fighter Skin
Now go back into the game and check the quest.
You should be able to hit Claim and unlock the skin.
If it doesn’t work immediately, don’t panic. This happens a lot.
Fix If the Reward Doesn’t Unlock
If the claim button doesn’t activate:
- Leave and rejoin the game
- Try switching to a new server
- Wait a couple of minutes for sync
Sometimes the system takes a bit to register your clip and account link.
This is one of those quests that looks confusing at first but is actually very easy once you know the trick. The biggest mistakes players make are:
- Not logging into Medal with Roblox
- Forgetting to upload the clip
- Not rejoining when it bugs out
