Some quests in Fisch sound confusing until you realize they are actually much simpler than they look. The “Musical Fish” requirement is one of those.

At first, it feels vague. There is no direct marker, no obvious hint. Then you figure out there are only a few specific fish that count, and suddenly the whole task becomes straightforward.

Still, if you pick the wrong location or approach, it can take longer than it should.

All Musical Fish in Fisch

There are three musical fish that count for this quest. You only need one, but knowing all three gives you flexibility.

1. Treble Bass

  • Location: Moosewood
  • Rarity: Exotic

This is the most accessible option for many players. Moosewood is easy to navigate, and you do not need anything special to start farming here.

2. Musical Crab

  • Location: Crystal Cove
  • Rarity: Mythical

This one is more RNG-heavy because of its rarity, but Crystal Cove gives you multiple quest-related opportunities at the same time.

3. DJ Octopus

  • Location: Crystal Cove
  • Rarity: Mythical

Another Crystal Cove option. Functionally similar to Musical Crab in terms of difficulty, but having two possible targets in one location makes farming here more efficient.

Best Location

If your goal is speed, Crystal Cove is the better choice.

Why?

Because you are not relying on a single fish. You have two musical fish available in the same area, which effectively doubles your chances over time.

Moosewood is simpler, but Crystal Cove is faster if you are willing to deal with higher rarity.

How to Make It Easier

You do not need a complicated setup here, but a few smart choices help:

  • Use a balanced or slightly luck-focused rod
  • Avoid over-optimizing for ultra-rare fish
  • Stay consistent in one location instead of hopping around

This is not a grind you need to overthink. Most delays come from switching spots too often.

A lot of players assume “musical fish” means a special event or hidden mechanic.

It does not.

It is simply a category tied to specific fish. Once you know which ones count, the quest becomes just another fishing task.

The Musical Fish quest is one of the easier parts of the Venue Takeover progression, but only if you approach it correctly. Once you know where to go, it becomes a short stop rather than a long grind.

And honestly, it is a nice break before the update starts throwing much harder objectives at you.
